Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 12. Welcome!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself your pregnant in the tww

starky where are you in your cycle? I read somewhere that anxiety/depression is a pms symptom. If you used to be on bcp than it would have alleviated that symptom for years. I know I always get really down before af. It's a double whammy with hormone induced depression and anxiety over tww. Nature is awesome isn't it? Hmm

ElleSarcasmo · 28/02/2016 21:56

I'm only running because I'm fat Evergreen! I have such a muffin top atm that I have to choose between an overhang and a camel toe! Sexy, me!

I didn't make it this am Jem as we decided to go out but this one I took this evening. Have to go before dark as no street lighting here and don't fancy falling in a ditch!

Starky I'm sorry you are feeling rubbish Flowers I am trying desperately hard not to think about TTC. I'm jealous of those around me who have been "lucky" and I feel like I have zero control over my own destiny. Definitely NOT feeling within my comfort zone. Just wanted to say that you're not alone. FWIW I have been much better this week as been more busy. I have been trying to make more plans, go out for drinks, live my life as normal.

AF is due on Friday and I have ZERO signs that this has been our lucky month. I also have zero signs of PMS which is unusual for me. I feel like this cycle might be a long one because "AF" (which was "delayed") was so horrendous last time (double the length of my usual AF time and...more...unmanagable, shall we say?).

Moggysinger · 28/02/2016 21:36

zazzles please explain your dtd strategy further! My little brain doesn't get it? Grin

StarkyTheDirewolf · 28/02/2016 21:32

I'm trying reeeeally hard to be positive and I'm usually very good but actually, I think i'm a bit depressed! Ive been sad as fuck the last few days! Don't know if it's my hormones or what but when I'm on my own im really struggling to be cheerful!

Can't shake the feeling off that im sad because im jealous, and I don't like admitting jealousy it's so ugly and unecessary! Not impressed with my own attitude tbh! Need to give my head a wobble!

Ever I have my down days too. I hope you see some sun soon... the good news is that the days are getting longer... Spring will soon be here!

Evergreen15 · 28/02/2016 21:12

Kwick I wish I could be so positive.. I am not a confident / positive person in life Sad

Ahhh I cant do that, choose prams and all. What if it doesn't happen? (it doesnt happen for everyone) then I will be even more crashed.

I am absolutely hating this winter. Wondering what to do next year, I honestly don't know if I can survive another one Sad it is so cold and so dark. Where is the sun?
It is not helping with trying to be a tiny bit positive

SuchaJem · 28/02/2016 21:09

jam a significant ex boyfriend and his family are from broadstairs. Would have to go in disguise! It's a lovely place though, and a booze stocked beach hut sounds ideal.

zazz what's ncis?!

Hug for you feefs, hope you're alright xx

Kwick709 · 28/02/2016 21:02

I may have already picked out a cot/bouncer/high chair combo called icoo

Mileymoocow · 28/02/2016 20:51

Haha brill vix Grin Ian Mercer lived in the house next to our old stable yard. He was a bit of a grump.

kwick I admire your pma GrinGrin

Peaches8Posies · 28/02/2016 20:48

Sitting watching Call the midwife too, cuppa and tissues on hand. Makes my Sunday night ☺

I'm also trying to stay away from the maternity/baby stuff. So I won't tell you how I've been looking at baby clothes, toys, accessories (and in a very low whispering voice I may have been browsing prams 😐) again, I'm definitely (not) keeping sane over this......

Runner05 · 28/02/2016 20:36

Hello ttc'ers, just popping in to place mark.

Runner, 34, currently harbouring a 15+1 troll doll called Potato and a rather inconvenient 10cm fibroid and feeling very jealous of everyone who can eat and drink whatever they like! Wink

Oh, and just a reminder, the grads can be found her http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/2577485-Thread-3-TTC-1-Grads-thread-No-TMI-is-too-much-no-question-too-stupid?watched=1 and we're all looking forward to seeing every one of you soon Grin

P.S. Kat I stole your idea and now the grads have a due date list... It's a bit scary Confused

Kwick709 · 28/02/2016 20:26

I have never been to Broadstairs but it sounds lovely :) Count me in!

vixarooni · 28/02/2016 20:14

I'm a south easter! waves to the broadstairs beach hut owner! I moved to Lancashire a few years back, but came back last year. We bought our house from Ken Morley who was in corrie, so we have defo ticked the northern card off!

Kwick709 · 28/02/2016 20:11

I am watching Call the Midwife... fingers crossed it is not quite as traumatic as last week!

Ever I try not to look at maternity or baby stuff... but sometimes I can just not help myself!!!!

I am sure it will happen for you! I saw an Oprah video today all about the power of "I am" - for example:
I am growing lots of lovely follicles
I am going to have lots of follicles for egg collection
I am going to have lots of lovely embryos
I am going to get pregnant soon
I am going to be glowing and healthy in pregnancy
Grin

Feefeefs · 28/02/2016 19:56

I think we're not too far away from each other peaches!

Sounds like a good plan zazzles!

I'm in a bad mood today and very stressed about the fact that I'm in a bad mood in case it's AF ConfusedI think I've lost the plot after yesterday's baby bomb

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 28/02/2016 19:09

Getting ready for ISW.....

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 28/02/2016 19:08

So dtd strategy is dtd O-6, O-4, O-2, O-1, O, O+1

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 28/02/2016 19:05

peaches I have the same fear! I would be so Blush if I recognised anyone, but it would be lovely to meet you all one day :)

We'd have to organise a meet via pm's though as this is a public forum & lots of nutters out there Grin yes I watch too much NCIS

I'm in the South East btw and frequently travel into London. I try to hide my screen when on mumsnet out in public Grin again, too much NCIS

Cthulhoo · 28/02/2016 17:58

Cthulhoo, 39 (for another two months)
Cycle : I dunno, 10?
On cycle day 6

This month's strategy will be to assume that ovulation takes place on day 10 with a regular 14 day luteal phase, rather than assuming (as I've done now, based on opk sticks) that I ovulate later and have a short post-luteal phase.

The other part of my strategy will be waiting and hoping for the referral to go through soon.

Evergreen15 · 28/02/2016 17:36

Kat thanks for my limo ride Grin It even makes AF a bit more tolerable fucking not
I haven't run for months. It is always too dark or too cold or both Sad I hate winter and the weight is piling up

I am not looking at maternity clothes or baby stuff because I don't know if this will happen for us, so I rather not make any plans Sad

Pyxie · 28/02/2016 17:21

Another adopted northerner here, originally from the south west but the North's home now!

stardusty5 · 28/02/2016 16:59

As oreet for shoppin ta starky lass Grin

Peaches8Posies · 28/02/2016 16:42

I have a definite feeling there are some ladies on here who, if we all met up would recognise each other. Love it! I'm another firm believer in the 6 degrees of separation.

feefs I'm another Scotland girl (waving hi) haha I'm in Glasgow. I'm a real city girl but I love that I'm a short drive or a few train stops from the wonderful countryside. Especially on a beautiful sunny (but cold) day like today. X

vixarooni yes hopefully we don't have to wait too long for out little pink lines on a stick. X

Hi to all the grads, glad to hear your all doing great. Hopefully we will be jumping buses to join in shortly x

StarkyTheDirewolf · 28/02/2016 16:40
