Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 12. Welcome!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself your pregnant in the tww

Thanks sucha and Elle!

SuchaJem · 29/02/2016 08:35

confused I'm trying opks for the first time this month too, got my 50 pack coming. No idea what I'm doing either! Going to attempt to do them at the office too. Seems like twice a day is helpful.

feefs fingers crossed for you love
elle I've brought my running stuff into work and it's a gorgeously sunny day - all the signs are right for a run!

Went for a walk yesterday with DH and he was baby spotting more than me, saying ooh he's a tiny one etc. Think he's definitely getting there and this makes me just ☺️😍👏🏼

ElleSarcasmo · 29/02/2016 08:26

Fx for you Feefs and Moggy!

ElleSarcasmo · 29/02/2016 08:25

Jam that is random!

Pugmummy hope you have caught the egg-it sounds like your timing was good anyway so fx.

Haha Evergreen, I'm inclined to agree with you about people who are positive all the time! I try but don't always quite manage it. I've lost my scales so no idea what I weigh, my muffin top suggests I've packed some on though! It will take more than a 5k to burn that off! Sorry about your friends Sad

ElleSarcasmo · 29/02/2016 08:20

High five ✋ Irregular and Moggy! It was feeling very lonely in the Midlands for a short while! I am W too Moggy. No beach huts here Sad

Hope you manage to get out Jem, the smug lasts for days! Wink

Lol at the struggle is real Lyssie Grin

Starky you'd have to be a saint not to be a bit jealous surrounded by bumps! I know exactly what you mean that you wish it was your turn now!

Pugmummy and Moggy hope you're in for a day off soon and have something nice planned.

Feefeefs · 29/02/2016 08:11

Thanks sucha, and I can understand completely too starky I am feeling so jealous that my friend is 12 weeks. I was so shocked when she told me though for some reason I just did not expect it.

POAS today, used an Internet cheapie bfn. But still no AF will test with a FRER on Friday if no AF. Holding out way too much hope

Evergreen15 · 29/02/2016 08:08

Elle I have gained 7 kilos if not more. Envy

On another news, I officially stop symptom spotting. I did quite well this cycle but still listened to: gas? Could be pregnant! Sore nipples? Up the duff you might! Tearful? Emotional mess? Maybe a little bean inside you!

FOR FUCK SAKE!!! EnvyEnvyEnvyEnvy

Grin Morning ladies. Sheep from the farm next door are having their babies and that is quite lovely Grin
Evergreen15 · 29/02/2016 08:01

Starky I think people that are positive all the time are either liars or secret psychopaths Grin
So what if you are jealous? I spoke to my oldest friend, we go waaaaay back. She has been trying for over a year and she mentioned "I bet X will be up the duff again soon, she was born with a star on her bum" (this in Spanish is someone that never has to try/ never get in trouble because they are just so bloody lucky it is ridiculous)

We went for dinner and Mrs StarBum announced she was preggo again.

Were still are jealous? You bet!! Because sometimes life is not fair goddamnit!

Then I learnt this week a friend lost his daughter and my other friend just found her 2 year-old has a melanoma on her arm. EnvyAngry

Then I am angry at life and then for a moment I think oh well maybe I am quite lucky actually.

Then the hormones hit and I go back to angry / jealous blah blah.

We are human SmileThanks

Cailler · 29/02/2016 08:00

Moggy two days before I got my BFP last month I felt like that, I had a day when I felt really depressed and tearful and felt that I was failing as a woman and as a wife. DH was amazing and looked after me but it was awful! I also, and I think it was you, had a dream where my mum handed me a sonogram picture and told me that I was pregnant and it was a boy! I think you had a similar dream?

I ended up having a cp a week later but don't count yourself out for feeling low! Everything else you describe is exactly how I felt.

Confusedcat1 · 29/02/2016 07:44

starky I sympathise completely. I'm not a jealous person but sometimes this Ttc business makes me feel that way. I don't beat myself up over it though because I think we have enough difficult emotions to deal with!

So dh and I bought fifty opks yesterday. This month we are going to try them. So when they arrive I think I'm going to need a beginners lesson on the whole malarkey from you guys!

Pugmummy87 · 29/02/2016 07:14

Moggy I sympathise, working 7 days on the trot sucks. I'm working day 5 of 9 in a row today. I'm not one to wish time away, but I cannot wait until 5pm Friday when I finally get 2 days off!

Stark I'm sorry you are feeling depressed, hopefully now you have said it out loud, you can find a way to help yourself. Have a Starky's Star just for being you!

As for me, I'm not sure I'm doing that well at being 'positive' this cycle. Seems I am ovulating a bit earlier this cycle, got upset with DH Saturday night as he was 'too tired' to dtd, got a peak solid smiley face yesterday and now I'm thinking we really have not dtd enough, managed last night (despite me being knackered from work), but other than that, we've dtd 3 times this cycle, once very early on and then Thursday and last night. I know it only takes 1 sperm, but I don't feel hugely hopeful about this cycle.

Jamjar12 · 29/02/2016 07:02

Hi vix :)
*
Elle,* I used to think it was bread but it's so inconsistent! I had eaten a mini muffin that day but that was the only thing out of the ordinary! But then last night I had Papa Johns, cookies for dessert and a lot of JD and Coke and I was fine so pretty inconsistent!

Yay for stats shirts! I'll refrain but that would be hilarious!!!

Lyssie · 29/02/2016 04:21

Elle
Dying over the muffin top/camel toe statement. The struggle is real.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 29/02/2016 01:41

Much better thanks kat Grin cheers! Wine

Fx moggy working 7 days on the bounce sucks! Dh has his first night off in a fortnight tomorrow! If his boss rings to ask him to cover I shall be telling him to kiss my arse!

Moggysinger · 29/02/2016 00:09

Thanks zazzles hope your mood picks up soon too. I can fully sympathize it is all babies or pregnant women around me too! Hopefully soon we will be with them rather than other side of fence! If its not my month I am going to adopt your dtd plan. Looks foolproof spermproof and realistic

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 28/02/2016 23:35

jem it's an American tv programme a bit similar to Silent Witness Blush

moggy whoops I think I was making a mental note to self but wrote it down Blush
O-6 is 6 days before ovulation, O-4 is 4 days before etc.

My fingers are crossed for you moggy, hope you're feeling better tomorrow. I've genuinely been in a crappy mood for a week Grin. Like starky, I've been surrounded by lots of pregnant ladies and I'm so Envy and Sad.

Moggysinger · 28/02/2016 23:26

I'm west Midlands elle!

I've been in a bit of a shitty mood tonight so now worried that AF is in fact, on her way, despite the weird popping sensation in my left side Sad Hmm

Hopefully it's instead because I've just worked 7 days in a row and work always makes me mardy!

Pleeeease AF stay away this month! I am totally mentally unprepared for a bfn Confused

IrregularCommentary · 28/02/2016 23:04

I'm midlands, Elle - you're not alone!

KatOnATinRo0f · 28/02/2016 23:00

Stark being surrounded by preggo people all weekend must suck big balls when you are TTC. Particularly if not ovulating yet. Completely understandable.
I prescribe wine. Wineand also cake Cake ands starky star Star just for being you. Better???

KatOnATinRo0f · 28/02/2016 22:58

I haven't looked at seraphine and I don't know what Marcia someone is either. I think I have a lot to learn

I do want a Tshirt with my stats and to be standing outside a beach hut with a G+T though

KatOnATinRo0f · 28/02/2016 22:55

I'm feeling a bit left out being a proper southerner seeing as you lot are either Londoners, northerners, or Scottish. (I went to Glasgow it was beautiful but fucking cold. I spent about 5 hours in house of Fraser while DH was at a conference. The house of Fraser is fucking fantastic).

KatOnATinRo0f · 28/02/2016 22:51

Catching up from today. Loving maternity jeans. I tried on a really nice skirt in gap once and I was like "why is it all stretchy and soft at the top?!?" And then I realised it was maternity. I should have got it. It was about 2 years before I was even considering being ready for TTC though. Hence not knowing what maternity clothing was even like. I have never heard of jmb.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 28/02/2016 22:48

I'm usually such a positive person, and literally the least green eyed monster I know! I'm so made up for everyone who has their beans growing (in real life and on here, except one girl in rl, but thats because she's a bitch, not because she's preggers! ) So it's been a but of a shock to realise that I am actually jealous! It's so not me!

But I the spirit of acknowledging, I've been surrounded by pregnant ladies all weekend, and amidst the whole "ooh, it'll be you next" and being so pleased for them I was thinking "yes, but it's not me now, and it's what I want!"

ipatches yes that's it! I'm not in control! And I can't plan it! It's a killer!
blue I think I'm cd 12, so I haven't even ovulated yet! But I know I'm trying to over compensate for my anxiety which probably isn't helping my general mood.
Thanks elle Flowers
jem I know I'll get past it, and actually admitting it has probably helped already.

Thanks you guys, definitely couldn't do this without you all! Flowers

Try not to be hard on yourself starky, jealousy is only human and how can you not be envious when people around you have what you want so much? Try to acknowledge the feeling, don't criticise yourself for having it, then remind yourself that you will get there and it will be wonderful.

Beautiful pic elle well done you getting out for a good run. I'm planning on tomorrow!

The lighter evenings are making me feel so much better too. I'm also feeling quite zen as only cd 6 so no mental PMS hormones making me crazy.

ElleSarcasmo · 28/02/2016 22:14

Jam that so looks like a bump Shock! Is it something you react to? I can blow up a bit with bread, but not to the same extent!

Nobody else in the Midlands then? Lots of you are in London! Love the idea of the beach hut full of booze jam and tshirt Starky!

Fx all is well and for the scan next week Indi!

Kwick I had a look at the Seraphine kit you mentioned...v nice! The affirmations are much like the Marisa Peer book I think (haven't bought it but did sign up for her free online videos Blush my inner cynic is sceptical!)

Thinking of you Evergreen iPatches and Starky. Hope the dark mood passes Flowers. It is getting way lighter now which always makes me feel less gloomy.
