Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 12. Welcome!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself your pregnant in the tww

Dear lord ladies y'all can type!! I thought I just had 2 pages to catch up on - nope, new thread and its 8 pages already!! Congrats pyxie - lovely news indeed. And big squashy cuddles to everyone feeling shit for whatever reason (or, if you're like me and hate being touched by strangers, a comforting pat on the shoulder)

Unfortunately Ovia is telling me this is my FW, but we have only managed to DTD once so I am not expecting much this week. I haven't caught an LH surge yet so still don't know if I ovulated or not, but to be honest I'm feeling like I just want to get on with my life. If it never happens I don't want to have wasted a year of my life POSs (pissing on sticks) and being miserable. Having said that no doubt during the TWW I'll be symptom spotting like a mofo!!

Mooseville · 29/02/2016 12:37

Congrats pyxie Brilliant news!!!

vixarooni · 29/02/2016 11:25

Yay congrats pyxie

I feel no symptoms at all, and ovia says i m good to test in 3 days, AF due on the 5th. I've been explaining to oh what this process feels like for a women! I will make him understand!!

Snowdog37 · 29/02/2016 11:08

Congrats pyxie 💐🎉💐🎉💐

I'm far away from London, and will be even further from next weekend!!! Eek!!!!! Half our stuff is in storage already, I've been Marie Kondo-Ing all our crap. Who needs 62 t shirts?!?!? Dh had some from 15 years ago that he hadn't even worn since being with me. And on my side I got rid of 200 or so of my 500 or so books. And various other stuff. Feels cleansing to get rid. We are entering the next stage lighter except for hopefully a baby on board at some point!

I'm 2/3dpo. Nothing to report. Not much cm at all, my boobs did feel tingly this morning, cold shower room perhaps. Way too early yet the madness has begun with a vengeance.

Happy Monday 🍰☕️💐 Hope we all have the best week!

Ni4444 · 29/02/2016 11:08

Fab news Pyxie! Just the good news we needed on this dreary Monday 👍

Jam I have food intolerances (yeast, msg/monosodium glutamate/flavour enhancer). Tricky thing is they're in bread, pizza bases, stock cubes, soups, flavouring on crisps, bacon, sausage and loads of ready meals...so I could never have figured out what was causing it if I didn't have an intolerance test! Worst case scenario for me was crippling stomach pain, massive bloaty tummy and diarrhea. Thankfully after years of managing it I know how much my stomach can tolerate so I have little bits but I don't overload my system and I rarely have problems at all anymore! Fingers crossed yours can be managed too!

Peaches8Posies · 29/02/2016 11:06

Congrats pyxie wishing you a happy healthy 8/9 months 😊

Thanks jem iv made myself screw my positive head on this week (worzel gummidge style haha). Trying not to think about af due at weekend.

I also have a couple of frers in my cupboard but I'm not weeing til I'm definitely late! Pinkie promise 😂 I'm holding out for a starky starky

Feefeefs · 29/02/2016 10:59

Registered dietitian backing up hep, FODMAPS is very good, but you need support and to be ready to change as it is very restrictive and no point doing it half arsed. Most common culprits for intolerance are, onion, garlic, alcohol, skipping meals, ready meals, dairy, wheat, too much fruit, brassica vegetables.

Pyxie · 29/02/2016 10:23

Thanks ladies! The only symptoms I've had are sore boobs for a few days and something like toxic gas coming from my rear end for the last week or so. That might not be a symptom though, I might just be gross!

Hep154 · 29/02/2016 10:20

jam at the risk of being one of those terrible people who express medical opinions with no training or knowledge of your case, have you heard of the fodmap diet? Some people use it as a system to systematically work out what they are intolerant to. (I'll go back into my cave now)

Hep154 · 29/02/2016 10:16

Congrats pyxie!!! No mistaking that!!!

SuchaJem · 29/02/2016 10:13

peaches sorry you were feeling so rubbish, I hope you are feeling brighter this week.

lesbecky I say JMB like that too  We have one just down the road. I stare at the window so longingly every time we walk past. I think DH speeds up haha

Feefeefs · 29/02/2016 10:07

Congrats pyxie

Moggysinger · 29/02/2016 10:04

cailler yes I did have a baby dream last week! Trying not to think too much into it but your story gives me hope!

So sorry to hear about your cp though Sad must have been incredibly difficult to deal with after just getting your bfp. Wishing you luck for lots of future babies! Flowers

Mileymoocow · 29/02/2016 09:47

pyxie brilliant news! Congratulations GrinFlowers

I love JMB becky. We have a shop in our town and it's dangerous being so close!

Moggysinger · 29/02/2016 09:31

Congrats pyxie ! Beautiful line! Can you remember if you had any symptoms?

Thanks ladies got my fx and toes crossed too, I've finally got a day off today so just chilling out and going for a run at some point.
pug respect for your 9 day stint! I can only just manage 7. There's no way I'd manage these working patterns if I ever got upduffed. Guessing you work for nhs too?! Oh the joys!

Trying to forget the FRERs I have in the house, I don't really want to test until/if the witch is late, which will be Thursday, feels forever away! Please all help me be strong and resist!

feefs got my fx for you. Maybe you tested too early? There is still hope!

Lesbecky · 29/02/2016 09:09

Congrats pyxie !

RaeSkywalker · 29/02/2016 09:09

Yay Pyxie! Great news Flowers

Lesbecky · 29/02/2016 09:08

starky the jealousy is normal. Last year I had to hide a few preggo friends on Facebook because I found my reaction so upsetting.

Good vibes for pugmummy feefs and moggy.

JMB is JoJoMamanBeBe which I always say in a stupid French accent.

I dug out my baby shopping list over the weekend that I'd saved in my computer. It's dated from 2013 Kwick. Obsessive much??

Peaches8Posies · 29/02/2016 09:07

Morning.

kat yip, beautiful and 80% of the time cold. Then we get a hot spell and we all moan it's roasting and too hot to function haha. And yes Frasers is fucking awesome! That's my first stop for my birthday/xmas treat. There's just too many amazing choices i could easily destroy my credit card in a very short space of time ☺

I spent most of last week very very down and lots of garbage happen in a short space of time. I had a very bad time with my anxiety on Wednesday. Then I started to worry that if I had caught a little egg how on earth would it even last five mins when I in such a state! Never slept a wink from shaking and crying even asked OH to sleep in the spare room! I'm trying (very hard) to remain positive and calm. But I find when I'm in a situation is can't control I do suffer. And let's face it as much as we eat/drink/suppliment/pee on sticks none of this is entirely in our hands! That's the part in find difficult especially when there's always those ladies who just seem to get upduffed with the drop of a hat (or knickers in these cases). At least we have a place to vent. ☺ x

SuchaJem · 29/02/2016 09:06

Congratulations pyxie that's wonderful :) did you have any symptoms?

Hug for you ni plenty of tea and coffee to get you through the day xx

Pyxie · 29/02/2016 09:00

Confession time! I got back from a weekend away yesterday and thought what's the harm of peeing on a cheapie, I'm only 12dpo, I'm sure it won't show anything. Well it had the squintiest squinter, so then I couldn't leave it, I had to use a proper test! No mistaking that one. Now I'm terrified of a cp, af due on weds. Tested with a cheapie again this morning and it's stronger than yesterday's.

Ni4444 · 29/02/2016 08:57

Oh Starky I'm there with you...in the depths the last 24hours Sad OH has been hungover all weekend and no fun and no help, I've had to do all the house stuff, and I did 6 hours solid of work yesterday too. And the neighbours are still making loads of noise (not their fault...I haven't spoken to them yet) so we're both exhausted. And I'm due AF Sat/Sun so maybe this is all my fault with my hormones (but I'm pretty sure it's because OH is being a dick!!). Work is the last place I want to be today. I wanna go home and see my Mom (what a poor excuse for a 33year old I feel today!)

LillianFullStop · 29/02/2016 08:56

Oh just found the new thread so checking in

Lillian (36) with 7+3 stowaway.

I'm in London as well - playdate would be so fun we'd have to wear nametags with our MN names though!
