tiny yes when I was 8 days late, I also just wanted either AF or BFP.... it is that limbo of not really knowing.....

Thinking positively is a good thing tiny you just have to find the happy medium between PMA and wishful thinking! I'm now on a 'no expectations' cycle. Just dtd as much as usual for us and not opking etc. My hormones have no excuse to be late/unpredictable etc but they do it anyway! Just to throw me off! I'm cycle 3 aswell and just needed to mentally step back from "actively ttc" for a few weeks, it sends you barmy!

That sounds like a plan pug 🍰know what you mean about the diet though, I've been really haywire with eating well and I think I'm relying on vitamins etc because my diet is shit at the minute!

I'm off work today with some kind of bug. I'm completely drained, just want to sleep and sleep. Sore throat, aching head and muscles. Not ideal conditions for making lurve 😔

Don't know why the hell I agreed to organise a baby shower for my best friend and make the bloody cake. 🎂 Obviously didn't look at my rota before volunteering myself. Plan is to bake the two tiers tonight and then they will have time to settle and I will decorate them Friday evening.

Fx it doesn't turn into a disaster.

I've only started taking the berrocca because my diet has turned to shit since Christmas (I think I'm comfort eating as a way of grieving tbh) and I thought I ought to maybe just add in some supplements until I sort my diet out.

I have to admit I had started to get my hopes up again about testing tomorrow, but I went to the bathroom just now and, lo and behold - AF is finally here. Blush Though actually I'm not even annoyed about it this time. I'm just relieved that there's not something really weird going on with my body that I can't understand.

kat and starky I agree. I guess it must just be my periods settling down after being on the pill, but the spotting completely threw me, since I've never experienced that before. And somehow I had convinced myself that my body was going to be an exception to the rule of haywire post-pill behaviour. That's where positive thinking gets me...

Onwards and upwards, then! I love a good challenge Hmm

moggy are you due any day now, then? Also, on the job front I would say go for it. The new employer doesn't have to know the circumstances in which you got upduffed, so it could just be an unfortunate coincidence of timing, rather than a deliberate move on your part. Say you'd been trying for years - you couldn't control when things finally worked out.

I have recently applied for a new job at the same company. If I don't get it, I am seriously thinking of quitting and doing something completely different. I know realistically I have to find a new job before I change .... sigh....

found out yesterday, that whilst we have to fight for our 1% salary increase, all the top level people have been awarded ££££ Angry

I feel no loyalty to this place any more, and feel stupid for ever feeling it.

tiny it's frustrating but after coming off depo injection it took about 6-9 months for me to get some semblance of a cycle back. Ivent taken any hormonal contraception for over 2 years now and I still get "phantom periods". Give it a few days and do a frer if nothing has happened. If you're not doing opk's I'd recommend you order some because it gives you an idea of if/when you're ovulating. Flowers

kat how are you feeling champ?

I'm just about to embark on creating a Victoria sponge. It's gluten free so they're always dryer than normal cake but I will slam on a load of butter cream and jam and hopefully that will offset it!

I'd agree with other folks moggy about going for a job - at the moment you honestly know nothing about whether you are upduffed or not and you still have to earn a wage to live. There might be the odd raised eyebrow I guess but stuff 'em - I don't know the circumstances of your job change but if you're not happy where you currently are (or don't have a job, need the money and are stressing about it) that isn't doing your fertility chances any good either. Go for a job you like and relax :)

also it can take upto 6 months for your cycle to settle after coming off pill.

hello tiny i had a similar experience in jan.

the only thing you can really do is wait 2-3 days and test with a frer.

really frustrating though. fx for you!

Welcome tiny. I was on the pill for 14 years, since coming off my boobs hurt and I've put on weight. My cycles have been between 26 and 29 days long but I have hardly bled at all. (Similar to being on the pill) I'm just coming to the end of cycle 7. I know they say that you can get pregnant straight away, and indeed some people do. But I was feeding my body hormones daily from the age of 14. I'm beginning to think it may have more of an effect than they are letting on. Sorry I can't be of more help. I think ICs aren't as sensitive as they say though so might be worth getting a better test

Hey tiny your stats are v similar to mine. Never had spotting but could it be implantation? I know a bit late though. Don't some women still have a v light period when pg? Similarly to you I have noticed my periods being lighter each month since off the pill. I agree with kwick get yourself a FRER and test tomorrow morning. Good luck! Smile

Just had my day 14 scan - follie has grown to 16mm, have another at 10 and then about 4 @ 5mm... Looks like I will only have 1 mature egg for collection but that is all I need right?

Going to carry on with milk, cayenne pepper, cinnamon and walnut consumption Grin

Good morning all Smile another newbie here! Though I don't feel like a newbie as I've been lurking on this thread since the beginning. I just haven't contributed as I feel you've all expressed exactly my thoughts at some point or another, and I didn't have anything sparky to add (and I didn't want to drag your statistics down!).

Age 29
Ttc#1
Cycle 3 (came off the pill end of Nov, had been on it for 13 years)
CD 35
16 dpo

So now I'm in a weird situation and I wonder if any of you have any light to shed on it. My periods since coming off the pill have been 31 and 30 days long, so I was expecting AF last Saturday or Sunday but nothing happened. Then on Monday I experienced spotting for the first time in my life - (sorry, TMI!) just a few tiny spots of pink blood when I went to the loo. And I've had the same once a day yesterday and today.

Since I felt we'd done such a good job of DTD at the right time this month, initially I thought I must be pregnant, but I did Internet cheapie tests on Friday and Monday and both were BFNs.

So now I'm fairly certain I'm not pregnant but I wonder what on earth is going on. My last period was dramatically shorter than ever before (only 3 days) so I wonder if my periods are now so screwed up that spotting is all I'll get?

And to top it all off, Ovia has given up on me. She tells me, helpfully, that I have missed my projected period and that all future predictions have disappeared until I can figure out what I'm doing. Thanks Ovia!

Have any of you experienced anything like this? Or do you have any idea what spotting in place of a period can mean? Any opinions gratefully received! And thanks for having me join your lovely group Grin I feel at home here already!

moggy personally i don't think we can put life on hold for jobs. Could you ask how flexible the start date of the job is?

I can't believe I've not POAS yet! I have willpower I didn't know I had. AF due today, only 1 more day to go.

I had a job interview yesterday which I'm waiting to hear back from today or tomorrow, what do you all think about moving jobs if newly upduffed, or starting a new job and getting upduffed fairly quickly? (FX!)
I know we could put off trying for a bit but I reeeeally don't want to do that. Obviously the new employees would be a bit peeved once they found out but I'm not really sure I'd care about that! Biological clock ticking and all that! Hmm

Moggy and starky I take my temps vaginally. I am used to it now. Just a pain to wash it all the time buy hey! Orally is fine but I didnt like it.
Jem I am on cycle 4 already so pretty grumpy about percentages (why am I always on the last group to get things?!!)
