Sorry Kat meant to say she now she has two kids number one took 14 cycles (not including first 6off pill) next one took 12 cycles two very healthy pregnancys and lovely children

I don't know if this helps but a woman I work with was told to use condoms for the first six months off the pill then start trying?

After all you have been through with the POAS testing and so on I think you absolutely deserve the peace of mind this scan gives you. May I ask how much it cost? Was it a pelvic scan or a abdominal one?

Thanks moose and ni it was a huge relief. I was so emotional because it seems so real now 7 tests obviously wasn't enough for me it's such an amazing experience and though pricey is 100% worth it. OH is still beaming. He rubbed his balls and said good job lads haven't burst his bubble by telling him they've done minimal effort compared to my gassy, spewey, tired, exhausted body

You ladies have been busy today! Been for my midwife booking in appointment and flaked out having my bloods taken! and then went for our early scan. I may be biased but I think we have a beautiful big headed bean

My sister in law changed jobs at christmas, then discovered she was pregnant and will only get maternity allowance I think, and wont accrue any holiday like you would normally. She was in the NHS so she was a bit gutted about the finances but over the moon at 40 to be preggo!

So all systems are go here! I am to inject the ovulation trigger tonight (pregnyl) and then egg collection on Friday am.
I am going to have a successful egg collection and a lovely embryo will be made and will implant in my womble!

The only thing about changing jobs is some companies have a minimum service/tenure requirement for any enhanced mat pay they may give - so prob best to have a look at current policy. That said if you are unhappy then move - life is too short and being unhappy may impact your fertility.

No expectations is the way to go, starky. I leapt into this business with enormous expectations, and had to be cut right back down to size, so I'm with you this month. Like a couple of others in this group, I'm trying to avoid a Christmas baby (there are already a fair few December birthdays in our family, and I find it both inspirationally and financially stressful!), so March and April will be very laid-back months. We're not actually actively avoiding (i.e. no condoms or anything) but I'm not going to bother OPKing again until May.

In my experience Jem, that's a negative. The second line will get darker gradually, and when it's as dark as the control line (or darker) that's a positive.

I think Abi is the one on Clomid, not me. :) I just knew what it was after a friend's experience ... and as a natural planner I have been doing way too much research!

I saw sooooo many symptoms last month and got a bfn. It's so so easy to do, am determined not to fall into that trap this cycle.

So.... I've done my first OPK! Brought a plastic cup home from work. No gu ramekin for me. A faint second line has showed - does this mean something is brewing but no eggo just get?

Hi SuchaJem, Clomid is a fertility drug used to stimulate the ovaries to produce more eggs to increase chance of conception :)

Hi Abi :) Good luck on the Clomid, it worked for a friend of mine. (it's a fertility drug Jem, I think it makes you ovulate more than normal.)

Driving myself nuts symptom spotting. Last night I had a pronounced pinch in the womb/ovary area and I'm 6DPO. Had a slight dip in temps this morning that could potentially be an 'implantation dip' though I should probably just call it a 'luteal dip' so as not to tempt fate. Trouble is, I'm also noticing a metallic taste in my mouth and I swear I'm just more aware of my boobs than usual - can't work out if they're bigger or more sensitive or what! It's maddening - all of this could have perfectly normal explanations and I would have had the same symptoms in the past but never noticed because I wasn't trying to conceive.
