Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 12. Welcome!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself your pregnant in the tww

moggy amazing news congratulations!!!! Flowers. What was your post ovulation ritual?? (I read something about ceyenne pepper??!!)

feef hugs to you. Wine and Cake

jem absolutely not, ttc is exciting stuff Grin I'm exciting to use preseed tonight DH will hate it

I'm CD13 today. Firmly in ISW. Dtd on CD 9 and 11, dtd tonight. Think I'm due my positive opk on CD14-15 so will dtd every night now until CD16.
Really impressed with epo this cycle, will def use again.

iPatches · 03/03/2016 18:57

Checking in, hope you are all well.
AF is due tomorrow. No symptoms other than cramps which is usual for me the day before my period. So I'm anticipating being out this month come morning. Which sucks.

KatOnATinRo0f · 03/03/2016 18:41

Jem you are not! It's great that you are still enthusiastic about ISW rather than "ok...here we go again ...Blush...)

Stark maybe DH is bullshitting you about the smell and really he's just looking for signs of huge spots??

Moggy whoooooooooooooo!!! Congratulations!! Thanks wishing you a good 9 months!

Feef ouch. Rest up babe... Painkillers.... Netflix.... Ice cream...

Peaches8Posies · 03/03/2016 18:40

Aww feefs hope your better soon. Af is a bitch but at least you can get comfortable on the strong pills as you say. You can look forward to nice glass of wine or such over the weekend to help you get over your ordeal 🍸x

starky I totally get where your coming from its soo easy to get too deep in to all this, you panic if your app changes the slightest thing! I'm just going for the more relaxed dtd option too. But I have bought Opks from amazon, the thicker ones which I think you said were better to read. I get a real crampy day about half way through my cycle and I'm just curious if this indeed an ovulation sign in iv always believed. Between your spot and your talented husband you may have cracked this and can sack ovia bitch altogether 😆x

jem its permitted peeing on a stick, we can understand the excitement 😆 x

Feefeefs · 03/03/2016 18:22

We've all been hoping for a bright tummy button that says "you are pregnant", a spot on your face that says "you are ovulating" is one step forward starky! Grin

Got some painkillers but feeling quite sorry for myself.

Glad ISW is making you feel more positive sucha that's what it's all about

SuchaJem · 03/03/2016 18:10

Well done feefs hope you're recovering well.

starky why are you not hopeful for your next few cycles? Is this to do with your chaps training regime?

Day 9 over here. ISW commenced last night, feel quite in the mood so back on it tonight I think. Doing my second OPK tonight, is it wrong I'm excited for this? Such a ttc loser

StarkyTheDirewolf · 03/03/2016 16:30

feef YOU ARE RIGHT! I was trying to think back to last cycle and I was sure I got a spot then too! Maybe I get a prophecy zit to alert me to internal egg laying?! Whilst slightly disfiguring, it would be handy!

How are you feeling now? Did they give you any painkillers? Flowers

Feefeefs · 03/03/2016 16:01

Hope your not out peaches

Feefeefs · 03/03/2016 16:00

Do you know what's weird? I know you got a spot like that last cycle right around ovulating starky!!

Thanks hep in bed now for a quick lie down.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 03/03/2016 15:43

peaches dh has some uses! Grin he's probably right. Dtd just in case but I'm not holding out much hope for the next few cycles tbh. Just had a look at ovia and I'm cd 17 but not in her isw till tomorrow. But mydays says isw started on Tuesday. Who knows!

I've got a giant spot which isn't a spot it's just a painful lump on my face...its gross!

Flowers feef that doesn't sound fun. Hope you feel better soon

ben+jerrys?

Feefeefs · 03/03/2016 15:35

Had my oral surgery today very grumpy ! Glad now I have AF as no guilt about taking painkillers

Hep154 · 03/03/2016 15:17

Hi moggy thanks for that

i am very tempted to get a frer for use at the weekend. I have backache and bloated/fullness-feeling that won't go away. It can't still be the food poisoning. I can't eat big portions of food without being uncomfortable.
my boobs are stubbornly normal....

or, i have eaten too many beans recently, i need a new bra, and i need to start going to the gym again ....... probably more likely .....

yes i know i said i wouldn't test until AF due ......
(and i have run out of ginger tea Sad)

Moggysinger · 03/03/2016 14:59

A few of you asked about symptoms. To be honest I don't think I have many. I did have a lot of pinching/pulling on my left side inner hip bone about a week ago, and its still there sometimes. It's not painful just a bit uncomfy. That's what made me think perhaps it had happened this month.

No booby changes.

A few normal pms type symptoms like being grumpy, lower backache for the past few days

A bit dodgy in the digestive system for at least a week - bloated, burping, but that's not completely unusual for me so hard to say if its a pg symptom or not!

Hope that's a little bit helpful for some people Smile

Moggysinger · 03/03/2016 14:46

I was going to wait and tell the dh in a more special way at the weekend but as I got that job offer I needed him to know asap so we could discuss options!

kwick thanks for your HR reminder, you are totally right if I moved jobs now I would lose out on some maternity benefits Sad so think sensible thing to do is probably to stay where I am. Boo hoo Sad But only another 8 months until I can leave thank god!!

kavanaughkj · 03/03/2016 13:24

I've been thinking about that, Jem. I know I'm rubbish at keeping secrets and I'd feel so excited I'd want to share early. I have one friend who has solemnly promised not to say a word if I need to eeeee with anybody (or just rant) and I know she'd be true to her word, so I'd be tempted to tell her - probably also my parents and siblings after a month. Everybody else can wait until the 12 week scan ...

SuchaJem · 03/03/2016 13:20

Telling the DH - yes something I massively fantasise about too. Not sure if would rather wait to test when he's with me or do it alone and get to tell him...

Speaking of telling, would you tell anyone else in those early days? I don't think I would for a few weeks. But perhaps after a month I bet I would be tempted to tell very close friends and possibly mum and dad.

Thing is mum would find it almost impossible to not tell her sister my gran etc etc etc!

Peaches8Posies · 03/03/2016 12:28

Oh starky sounds like you don't need to rely on Opks anymore your husband is totally finely tuned in to your body, that's a skill right there! haha

Feeling quite crampy looks like the witch will appear shortly 😠

Peaches8Posies · 03/03/2016 12:01

Just catching up...

Beautiful pic miley thanks for sharing
Happy birthday blue hope you have a fab day
Congratulations moggy
Fingers crossed your hard works paying off kwick

Hope everyone is well ☺ x

kavanaughkj · 03/03/2016 11:15

Oh Moggy congratulations! Your post about your hubby really made me go 'awwwww' as well - I have to say, telling the DH is something I'm so so looking forward to if when it happens to me :)

Happy birthday blue!

Cailler · 03/03/2016 11:11

Thank you Hep - will keep all my fingers and toes crossed. I thought my cycles were settling down.. nope! I've heard of people getting two surges in a month if your body tries to ovulate and then tries again a few days later so you may get two if you keep OPKing. Waiting is the worst!

Moggysinger · 03/03/2016 11:02

tiny looking back at ovia we dtd 4 times in total during ISW (EOD), when I noticed EWCM we did it 2 days in a row (first time I've ever noticed EWCM). We did ramp up dtd throughout the month generally, but to be honest I think we have just been very lucky and managed to catch the egg this month. It is a total jackpot isn't it.

Hep154 · 03/03/2016 11:00

Cailler it not necessary a waste. The little swimmers can live up to 5-7 days i think. fx for you.

the joys of irregular cycles .... Confused

Cailler · 03/03/2016 10:56

Argh I was so sure that I ov'd on Monday as I've been cd16 for the past few months but I've just got a really really strong positive on an opk so I guess jumping on DH all weekend was a waste! Now I'm going to struggle to get him to keep going.. Annoying as I thought we had given it a really great shot. Just want to go back to symptom spotting!

Hep154 · 03/03/2016 10:40

jem yes, it really caught me by surprise.
i plan to opk every other day, just incase is was a fluke reading and i actually have a later lh surge? (ok unlikely, but as last cycle was 38 days....)

my main frustration is now the waiting ...... i am not a patient person.....

thanks for letting me ramble!
