Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 12. Welcome!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself your pregnant in the tww

Sorry your feeling low ipatches hope things make themselves clear soon!

Did AF show up for you peaches?

Snowdog37 · 04/03/2016 21:11

Massachusetts ❄️It snows a lot there, I was looking at my brother in laws photos from last winter. Holy crap they got over 5 feet! Can't wait though. I'm so excited I'm not going to sleep tonight. Will be a jet lagged mess by Monday. Eek!!!!

HepKestrel · 04/03/2016 21:05

snow where in the states are you headed? I lived in Chicago for couple years

iPatches · 04/03/2016 20:56

Harriet - congratulations
I have had really bad cramps all day but AF hasn't showed her ugly face. She will though, I know it - and now it's just so FRUSTRATING that AF not starting is delaying my cycle further. I am not in a good place.

Anyway, I have Wine so let's get on with that.

Snowdog37 · 04/03/2016 20:51

Off for 8 weeks to get a house sorted and settle in a bit, then back to do the immigration interview in London and pick up the rest of our stuff. I'll definitely stay in the thread, I want to see each and every one of us graduate!!! 💗💐

StarkyTheDirewolf · 04/03/2016 20:37

vixarooni · 04/03/2016 20:23

Fingers crossed for you Kwik interesting reading your story. I was listening to julia bradbery today on radio 2 and she had twins through ivf at 44. I think she has a book out on the topic

vixarooni · 04/03/2016 20:19

Hi everyone! Congrats Harriet!

My temp dropped today so little miss period of doom is gunna be coming tomorrow, right when ovia predicted it so there cheers for ovia. Feeling OK about it, just wanna get it down and on to the next fertile phase!

Even if you are an open mouth breather, you put the thermometer under your tongue and that's always protected. Else you'd stop breathing!

Rachjade89 · 04/03/2016 20:09

I also like names that aren't that common. My dd is called amber and they is no one in here class with the same name. For boys I'm think traditional maybe George but if am lucky enough for another girl she will be Alexis or Elsie.

Rachjade89 · 04/03/2016 20:06

Think I need to look up what some of the abrevatison mean on here as I don't have a clue on some of the lingo!

Peaches8Posies · 04/03/2016 20:06

No kwick Sounds rather cool ☺

Also would like to pick a name no one else has. When I was at school there was always 3/4 people with the same names so I've always leaned towards picking out something different. But the girls names I've always liked are now more common.

I remember a conversation in work were one of the pregnant girls was running through her names list and one of the other women said oh that's my cats name 😂 not the reaction she was hoping for haha

Snowdog37 · 04/03/2016 20:04

Hi all 🍷☕️🍰💐
I'm 7 dpo and my chart is crazy, the temps are so flat compared to my other cycles! Trying not to get my hopes up!
I've got a stinking headache so I haven't read all the pages I've missed yet. Will try to catch up though. Heading over to the states on the night flight tomorrow night yay!!!!

Kwick709 · 04/03/2016 19:54

Me too - loads of girl names in contention but for boy harder would it be completely crazy to call a boy Portland after street of conception?

Peaches8Posies · 04/03/2016 19:54

Not one boy (that's me without a glass of wine!)

Peaches8Posies · 04/03/2016 19:52

Definitely sincerely!! One step closer to your own bfp!! ☺

hep snap haha girls I have a few ideas already, not only ever boy...

Kwick709 · 04/03/2016 19:45

sincerely my fertility story is as follows: I suddenly realised in March/April last year that the knight in shining armour I had been holding out for was not going to make an appearance and I was filled with sadness to think that I would not have a baby.

So I started to see what my options were, I went to a couple of open days at fertility clinics and read a lot online. I decided to go to the clinic my cousin had IVF twins with - they have very good success rates.

I also decided that I would do IUI (so turkey baster approach) with donor sperm. I did 4 natural cycles - so no stimulation drugs but ovulation trigger injection and post insemination progesterone. Then I did cycle 5 with Menopur injections to stimulate follicle growth. After 5 failed IUIs it was time to try something new - and this is my first medicated IVF cycle - with a month of downregging and 2 weeks of stimulation. I am 41, have PCOS and only one ovary but I am hopeful that I will catch my dream. I am sure we will all catch our dreams. Grin

SincerelyRosie · 04/03/2016 19:36

Thanks peaches it's just a bit daunting at first. Thinking positive!!

Peaches8Posies · 04/03/2016 19:33

sincerely I know it seems a bit daunting but a work colleague of mine was ttc for a few years before she managed to pluck up courage and get her OH on board with testing. Realising she had a problem and needed a little help eventually made her angry with herself she didn't ask sooner. Once they found out why she wasnt having regular periods she was sorted out pretty quickly and went on to have 2 lovely kids. Fingers crossed you get answers quickly. X

KatOnATinRo0f · 04/03/2016 19:32

Ohhhhh I wanna know what everyone's names are!!!

HepKestrel · 04/03/2016 19:31

Welcome Rach

I caught myself thinking of names today and tried to stop... Truth is I have 2 girls names I like... No boys names...

KatOnATinRo0f · 04/03/2016 19:30

Thanks pug for the detailed info! Maybe I shall get a BBT... In a few months (as I'm supposed to be taking it chilled for a bit now) and whilst I sleep with an open mouth I do not as far as I know sleep with an open foo so I should be okay in that respect. Seriously is that how everyone does it????

Peaches8Posies · 04/03/2016 19:22
