Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 12. Welcome!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself your pregnant in the tww

hopeful welcome! We are ace, don't be embarrassed, I'm a bossy bitch! Grin it's a long running thread so we've all got to know one another quite well, and TMI is no problem at all. But It is so much easier if you post a bit of your back story. For instance,

I'm Starky, cd 18, cycle 3. I have long cycles (up to 43 days) and I know my pms symptoms include boobs forged in the fires of mordor and the weeps (where I find the smallest thing means a melt down, example from this morning, I saw a small fluffy bird, it was cute, so I cried, like a weirdo!) Grin

Hopeful tww symptoms vary from person to person and can be sign of bfp or period. As Starky said, it's best to confirm with a test in about a week.
Do you have a pic of the test? If you post it, it may be helpful as we can tell you if we see a line or not.

Hopefulbabydust · 05/03/2016 20:55

I do apologise for the tmi! And I'm sorry I'm new here and jumped in at the middle of the thread, feel quite embarrassed now, I was just more desperate for someone to talk to lol!

RaeSkywalker · 05/03/2016 20:55

On the plus side I have had time to bake enough to feed a small army tomorrow Grin

RaeSkywalker · 05/03/2016 20:54

Well I was supposed to be having drinks with a friend tonight- she's ditched me in favour of her new boyfriend, who she's known for 3 weeks. This is the third time she's done this to me. Am I allowed to be hurt? I'm not sure if I'm overly sensitive because of BFN.

Kathrino · 05/03/2016 20:48

Pug, that cake is amazing! Although we are just back from a posh afternoon tea for my MIL's 60th where I stuffed myself so the idea of cake makes me feel sick now...

StarkyTheDirewolf · 05/03/2016 20:32

Oh sweet holy fuck miley might aswell just change my name to Conchita now then! There's no hope for me!

hopeful I don't mean to be rude but if you introduce yourself properly and get involved then it's much easier for us to help you with your cycle rather than randomly posting a question and then linking a thread to the same question. You won't get any kind of accurate answer at 7 dpo. You need to wait a week and test again. This thread is a ttc thread, we're not pregnant, so posting asking if anyone's had a bfp with the same symptoms is somewhat pointless. You're more than welcome to join in but post your stats and give a gal a glass of wine before asking for hardcore fanny juice advice! We've only just met!

kwick I think blood on/in needle just means you hit a vein, I'm fairly certain if there was any air in it you'd already be dead! I hope you're not! Grin

HepKestrel · 05/03/2016 20:32

Hi hopeful all you can do is wait 3days and take a first response type pregnancy test. They are sensitive to smaller amounts if the hcg hormone.

Lyssie · 05/03/2016 19:58

Pug, beautiful cake! I'm a pastry chef, so I just got home from spending all day making cakes.

HepKestrel · 05/03/2016 19:53

Not a medic, but as long as it isn't continuously bleeding after, I'm sure its fine

Kwick709 · 05/03/2016 19:33

Are there any medics in the house tonight? I did the intra-muscular injection - which was almost pain free and went in nice 'n' easy but there was a lot of blood after and blood inside the needle... oops did I hit a vein and am I now gonna cark it? I did not look at needle as told when it first went in because I am not a bloody contortionist and did not think to look in a mirror Hmm
Anyway lets hope all is okay. I am feeling much less daunted by it all now.

I appreciate you thinking what I am doing is hard - but I am just following instructions. I have to do it this way as I have no man... in a way I think what I am doing is easier than what you guys are doing - less variables and I only need to consider myself... I do not mean to sound like a egotistical cow... nor ungrateful for all your warm wishes... but what I am trying to say rather badly is that YOU GUYS ROCK!!!

Can someone have a read and try help me please lol www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2585723-8po-bfn?msgid=59679264#59679264

Mileymoocow · 05/03/2016 19:26

I do like an unusual surname! Hah bless you and your chin hair! Fwiw I've never grown body hair at a higher rate in my life now I'm preggo. I'm like a little werewolf and I refuse to shave every day.

I'm still spewing unfortunately, just projectiled out of my nostrils about 10 mins ago (which stings like an absolute bitch) but it's less than what it was and I'm managing to eat little and often now.

rae that sounds lovely! I'm sure she'll love it

RaeSkywalker · 05/03/2016 18:52

pug I have been inspired to bake by your epic cake. DM is officially having afternoon tea tomorrow (as long as I don't balls up the mini Victoria Sponges and DH doesn't get ill from my 'test' scones)....

Feefeefs · 05/03/2016 18:27

Thanks Elle!

Amazing cake pug!

I can't remember if I was in the original thread or not?

Starky that beard joke made me roar with laughter! Hope I haven't burst my stitches! I think silliness is the essence of a good marriage

SuchaJem · 05/03/2016 18:26

Errrr pug that cake is amazing!! Your lucky friend, she will love it.

starky love the skiing egg with its adoring sperm! Going to try this as a visualisation technique over next few days.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 05/03/2016 18:07

miley that sounds cool! Swedish surname is ace! Before I got married I had a fairly common surname, but I still forget my name now, even nearly a year on! My goatee just sprouts up when I'm not expecting it! I have to prune it regularly otherwise we'll have to join the circus as the bearded lady/strong man combo! #CareerOptions
Are you still spewing or has it settled slightly? Flowers

kwick you are a trouper, I'm in awe of you and your dedication! Got my fx for your little egg! It WILL be a winner!

Mileymoocow · 05/03/2016 17:54

'Because of my beard situation' 😂😂 starky you certainly cheer me up. It's a cool surname, mines 3 letters and swedish so I'm glad OH has a relatively common name so my children don't have the arduous task of pretending to laugh every time someone makes a funny about their name.

kwick mannn that is brutal! I admire your dedication and am so hopeful for you I might actually have to get a train down to you and give you the biggest fucking hi 5 when you get your bfp. I'm feeling shitty, thanks for asking! No change really, but I have no place complaining when I compare it to what you're going through.

Kwick709 · 05/03/2016 17:17

what a cool surname starky - any first name will be cool with that!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 05/03/2016 17:12

miley it is! Grin I was joking with dh a few weeks ago that if we ever get pregnant and people ask about names then we absolutely have to say "well, Virgina for a girl and Winston for a boy" haha thanks, I worry it could go the other way and be a bit cowboys and Indians if we're not careful! Grin

Dh will occasionally say "little pig, little pig, let me come in" when he bringa me a cup of tea and Im supposed to say "not by the hairs on my chinny chin chin" because of my beard situation. Usually its funny, But sometimes I just punch him in the kidney because im hormonal and in no mood for his humour! I write that and think, we sound like 9 year old! Grin

Kwick709 · 05/03/2016 17:11

Miley embryo may be back as soon as Monday with moi!!!!!! Then I have a 16 day wait before I can test - all the while taking lots of medication: intra-muscular progesterone (Lentogest) injection every 2 days, progesterone (Crinone) fanjo gel twice a day; progesterone (Clexane) sub-cutaneous injection daily, tablet of oestrogen (Progynova) 3 times a day (which I bloody forgot to start this am!!) and aspirin 75mg daily - if I get upduffed some of this will continue for 10-12 weeks or so!
I am advised to not test early as the ovulation trigger injection I gave myself has HCG in it and can give you a false positive.

How are you feeling?

Mileymoocow · 05/03/2016 16:57

kwick so when will egg be out back in momma?? And what happens after? I remember you saying you could take a pg test in 6 days.

pug how lovely and thoughtful of you! You're talented, I can't even make fairy cakes.

starky is your surname wolf? I remember a conversation a while back and think I assumed it was. If so, you're lucky as hell because any name you choose will be insanely cool

RaeSkywalker · 05/03/2016 16:56

Pug epic cake!!

Holly300 · 05/03/2016 16:49

Yay! Congrats Stardusty!! Thanks

StarkyTheDirewolf · 05/03/2016 16:44

pug you are an ace mate! That cake is amazeballs!

This sounds awful but I'm really glad it's not just me from the original thread!
