Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 12. Welcome!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself your pregnant in the tww

Hi,

Can I join this thread? About me:

CD24
Cycle 1 TTC1

I'm 9dpo and trying desperately not to symptom spot! It's so hard! It's the longest 2wks ever lol

Trizzer · 08/03/2016 15:51

Hello everyone, I'm very new here, so trying to get on board with the lingo so here goes...

I'm Vikki
32
TTC #1
Cycle 10
CD 26
DPO 8 days

I've had some PG symptoms this month that I've never had before, I've been bloated, very hungry and I've had some abdominal pains yesterday and today, now this could just be something I've eaten but I've also noticed that my breasts aren't sore and I always get sore breasts usually from ovulation to my next AF.

My app said AF is due on Friday 11th but I ovulated 3 days after the app predicted so it's more likely AF is due on Monday right?

I'm a type 1 diabetic so TTC has been pretty difficult and it's taking its tole on me. My partner is also visiting the doctor today to arrange a sperm check.

I've just done and early response PG test and got a BFN which I was expecting so early but I'm about to see a nurse regarding diabetes preconception so thought I better test just in case. I think that's everything about me, sorry to ramble on!

In the last 7 months I have actually been pregnant for 3 and a half months. Hurrah. Just not actually. Or consecutively

That's my favourite sentence of this thread! 😂

Actually had an argument in home bargains with dh today about hair conditioner. 😁

In his wisdom, he decided I didn't need conditioner if I used argan oil shampoo. Tried explaining that I only put conditioner on from about halfway down my hair, to stop it getting knotty. He was then genuinely perplexed that i wanted "matching" shampoo/conditioner (and there was none of this magical argan oil conditioner) as "if you use the shampoo, you won't need conditioner anyway!"

The conversation was ended when i hissed "you can have an opinion on conditioner when you've got waist length hair and not a short back and sides, knobhead! " 😁 Bloody exhairdresser, thinking he knows it all!

I think that the 2ww should be renamed SP (Schrödinger's pregnancy) as I much prefer to actually be pregnant for those 2 weeks until proven otherwise. In the last 7 months I have actually been pregnant for 3 and a half months. Hurrah. Just not actually. Or consecutively.

HepKestrel · 07/03/2016 22:43

Is it backlog from Christmas/January conception primetime? I would still get clarification from them. Please don't stress too much about it though. There is nothing wrong with poas every week if that's what you need to do.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 07/03/2016 22:32

I'd definitely ask again for clarification mog to be seeing you at 10 weeks is a long time to leave someone, I've never heard of the wait being that long. I thought booking in bloods etc were usually done about 8 weeks. I agree with you, that's horrible thinking about it like that, not good for your nerves at all!

Wishing you all the luck in the world Kwick 🍀

ElleSarcasmo · 07/03/2016 22:23

So sorry to hear your sad news Harriet. Hugs to you Flowers

Moggysinger · 07/03/2016 22:22

starky it does feel like a long time, maybe I should try again and hope I get a different receptionist?! Or just get them to explain it to me a bit more. It feels like they don't want to see me until it's a more viable pregnancy ... which is kind of horrible as it's already quite a stressy time worrying about it sticking Sad

Moggysinger · 07/03/2016 22:15

Oh Harriet I'm so sorry, that's really sad. Hope you and your dh are looking after each other. We are all hear to listen and support you if you want to talk. Thinking of you Flowers

StarkyTheDirewolf · 07/03/2016 22:12

ni don't buy them all. Treat yourself to one or two and then draw a line under it for a few weeks. You don't want to overload tour system with a fuck load of supplements, it could play havoc with your cycle, especially if you start it all at once.

HepKestrel · 07/03/2016 22:11

Sorry about your mum ni, sure she means well...

RaeSkywalker · 07/03/2016 22:05

Haha vix I have a horrible feeling that it's not!!

SuchaJem · 07/03/2016 22:05

So sorry harriet take care of yourself xx

RaeSkywalker · 07/03/2016 22:04

Ni I took Agnus Castus for a year when I came off the pill. I think it really helped to kick my cycles into some kind of order. Maybe I should start taking it again! I seem to remember reading that you shouldn't take it in the 2ww though (I'm not 100% sure on that, it's been months since I read any literature on it). It does taste and smell foul too, so be warned of you're taking the tincture!

vixarooni · 07/03/2016 22:01

I hope pregnancy is easier!!

RaeSkywalker · 07/03/2016 22:01

vix I've felt like something has been looming since Friday- light cramps, sore boobs etc. I wonder AF coming later means I ovulated later? I haven't used opks so I've got no clue. Argh.

To top it all my boss has been texting me updates on everything that's gone on today. I have so much to catch up on- we have a big deadline looming for which a key member of staff seems to have abdicated all responsibility. So I'll have to drag myself in even if I still feel ill and take control of it Angry.

Jamjar12 · 07/03/2016 22:00

I'm so sorry Harriet, that's such sad news. Sending hugs your way :(

Ni4444 · 07/03/2016 21:55

So sorry Harriet. Look after yourself xxxx

My Amazon basket is now holding iron supplements, vitamin e, organic Raspberry leaf tea, and agnus cactus. Can somebody please talk me down from spending a small fortune on supps which will not magically make me pregnant?!

HepKestrel · 07/03/2016 21:53

Photo is a bit dark, but a clear negative at 8pm today. I have been using clearblue until now. That was also negative this morning.

But I will learn from this cycle. Its just practice. And I will stop poking my boobs Smile
