Aww Sammy I know it's hard. I was crying into my pillow for weeks after my first failed transfer but I've got into a different frame of mind now and whereas I would love it to work this time for me if it doesn't I have very clear plans in place of what we will do next which definitely helps. We are into the second year of married life now and his is definitely not how I imagined things would be for us either but I think it will make us really strong together and we will get through it.

With regards to immune testing your gp should be able to do all the level 1 blood tests for you if you haven't already had those and then you move onto the more complex stuff with dr gorgy which is what Trixie has had done and will be able to advise you better than me.

In a way I think it would have been interesting if your nhs round had been at a different clinic to see if they took a different approach to things than the private one. Will you still have the same doctor etc on the NHS as private? I know you said on bumsnet that you are worried they might stimm you less so you don't get ohss. I think this might be a good thing. People doing mini IVF often find that their eggs are better quality with lower stimms. This is what my doctor has also told me. It doesn't necessarily equate to less blasts it could actually mean more because they are better quality and I'm thinking that during your fresh round of treatment your lining was also thicker whilst on stimms? It could be a good thing if you could get a fresh transfer if this is the case.

Anyway you will work out the next step. Don't be afraid of doing another fresh round though it might not be as bad as the first and just think of those extra frosties as potential siblings so you won't have to go through it all again.

Technically progesterone should keep af away but it probably won't indefinitely. I can't really help with that one as it differs so much from person to person. Last time I bled before OTD even though I was on progesterone.

Not much news from me. Still not feeling too hopeful. I've been having mild cramps and pulling type feeling, lower back pain on and off but then I also get this type of thing before af each month. My boobs have got sore again and had massive hot flushes last night so much so I had to sleep with the window open which is unheard of for me at this time of year as I like to be snug and cosy but it's a well known symptom of progesterone as well so absolutely no way of knowing anything in this game!

Thank you everyone. It means a lot that you're all behind me. I feel awful at the moment. I think I'm grieving for what our early married life should have been like. DH is great, but he's much more practical than me, so is already on to 'well this is what we'll do next' while I'm still crying in to my pillow.

Shell - this was a frozen round, and we have three more left but have to use our NHS try now as otherwise we'll lose it. They won't let us use our frozen ones so it's a whole new fresh cycle with all its risks of ohss. I don't think I'll be able to start that until May though so that's any chance of a 2016 baby gone.

How on earth did you do this 11 times???

Lucie/trixie/anyone else who knows. When I'm stronger I'm going to need your advice on immune testing. I think I want to get this done before we have another transfer. I just can't hel thinking that something must be wrong with me.

Also does anyone know when I should expect AF? I'm still on the progesterone at the moment until otd. But have been taking it for 2 weeks now so this is technically 15dpo? Xx

I am lost for words sammy. I know there is nothing I can say to fix things, and yet I've been where you are and know how utterly gut wrenching it is and wish there was something I could say to take away the pain. I notice JustTrixie comments that if it doesn't work out, you have a plan... does that mean that perhaps you have frosties from your IVF cycle?

Itsme247 · 19/03/2016 20:58

So so sorry to hear this Sammy. You have my thoughts in these difficult days xx

Pikz · 19/03/2016 19:45

Sammy I am so so sorry :( I had so much crossed this would be your time. Big hugs

JustTrixie · 19/03/2016 16:56

Banana, thanks for the reassurance re the meds.

JustTrixie · 19/03/2016 16:55

Sammy I was in the middle of Sainsburys when I posted before but wanted to add that I've been there and know how awful it is to have to go through the disappointment and heartache again, sending big hugs. Knowing I wasn't alone helped and I hope it helps you too.

MPP81 · 19/03/2016 16:55

I'm sorry Sammy. I really hoped this was it for you. I'm thinking of you xxx

stealthbanana · 19/03/2016 16:25

Really sorry to hear that Sammy. What the others said - I know it's no consolation to know you will get there, but you will. And in the mean time have a good old wallow because it is shit and unfair that you have to go through this. Xx

JustTrixie · 19/03/2016 15:02

Im so sorry Sammy Flowers Flowers

lucieloos · 19/03/2016 14:33

Oh Sammy I'm so sorry lovely. I was so hoping this was going to be your time. It really is unfair. Big hugs to you. You will get there even though it's hard and doesn't feel like it at times.

bananafish81 · 19/03/2016 14:30

Oh sammy my heart is aching for you. It's just not fucking fair. It really isn't. You don't deserve this. I really really hope you and DH can be kind to yourselves. We are all thinking of you as trite as that sounds - I realise it's of bugger all comfort as you don't want thoughts, you want a baby.

And you will get one. I just wish you didn't have to go through this shit to get there.

Much much love and strength xxx

BorisIsBack · 19/03/2016 14:23

Sammy I am so sorry. I really believed this was your cycke. Life is so cruel. Flowers and lots of love.

loopylou1984 · 19/03/2016 14:03

It's bfn ladies. I thought for a minute I could see a really feint second line but pretty sure it's just wishful thinking. DH can't see anything. Cramping has stepped up a gear too. Totally devastated. X

MPP81 · 19/03/2016 13:48

Good luck for later Sammy! Busy day here, but checking in for your update! :)

bananafish81 · 19/03/2016 11:50

Fostimon is like Gonal-F - it's a pure FSH stim but whereas Gonal-F is synthetic and made in a lab, Fostimon is naturally derived (think it's like Menopur where they get it from menopausal nuns piss or something)

Gonasi is the trigger

And Cetrotide you know the drill on that one

Xxxx

JustTrixie · 19/03/2016 11:22

Will be keeping a close eye on the thread this afternoon waiting for your update Sammy. Really really hoping it's a BFP obviously but if it's not you have a plan and everything will work out in the end xx

My meds have arrived. Have cetrotide and cyclogest (boo!) like before and have something called fosimon for stimming and gonasi I assume for trigger. Have never heard of them. Have no prednisone and supposed to be on that from the start so need to find out about that. Have some left over from last time but if I'm on a high dose it won't last long.

bananafish81 · 19/03/2016 09:30

Good luck sammy!! Xxx

stealthbanana · 19/03/2016 08:52

Good luck Sammy! And have fun with your parents x

lucieloos · 19/03/2016 08:45

Aww hope it goes ok Sammy. We are here for you whatever the outcome. Will check back later this afternoon. Have a nice time with your parents.

Fmu safely collected, waiting for later!
Part of me doesn't want to test. At the moment I'm in the bliss of being able to think 'it might have worked' and while obviously a bfp would be amazing a bfn is going to crumple me. Will update when I know. Xx

BorisIsBack · 19/03/2016 06:04

Sammy Everything crossed for you, you to lucie. Hope you both feel ok. X

Banana thinking about you. X

loopylou1984 · 18/03/2016 23:07

Ps. Shel - have been using the CD! I think it helps me relax a little. Xx

lucieloos · 18/03/2016 23:06

Hi Shell, yes all ok thanks, had a day 3 transfer so just relaxing now and enjoying some time off work. Sorry I only just saw you sent me a private message for some reason they don't show up on the app and I rarely use the web version of mumsnet. Thanks for thinking of me though. Good luck Sammy x

Shell! Hello!
Yes, the other thread kind of fell away.... I think I was the only one left ranting! But I missed you, lovely to see you here. Yes I'm 8dp5dt today, and think I will test tomorrow. Going to store my FMU until late tomorrow once all family commitments are out the way in case of bad news. Hope you're okay? How close are you now?

Thanks Lucie, I've found a pot and so am all set for tomorrow! Xx
