Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 11. Welcome one and all!
We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

Jem how exciting! I am thinking about going to Tasmania, New Zealand, Borneo and the Philippines to visit friends. Tricky as OH looking for a new job at the moment so they might not want him to take 8 weeks off work, in which case I might go and study yoga in india.

What are your plans?

Feefeefs · 25/02/2016 17:04

Yay pugmummy so much easier when. They get on board.

Feeling a bit more positive today. Also a bit like Schrödinger's cat/pregnant lady! One symptom makes me think I am then the next makes me think I'm not.

Does anyone else AF symptom spot more then pregnancy symptom spot?

ElleSarcasmo · 25/02/2016 16:52

Yay Hep for maximum sexus! Are you going away anywhere?

Don't worry Pug, I think everyone knew you were talking about yourself and not judging anyone else. I am mostly being positive but it's hard to stay chirpy when AF comes! Hope you're not too knackered for dtd.

Pugmummy87 · 25/02/2016 16:49

Sorry if it sounded like I was demeaning anyone who was feeling down about ttc by mentioning that I was planning on being positive this cycle about things. Was not my intention, I totally agree that being about to vent negative feelings is a good thing and everyone needs a good moan now and again. TTC is a lonely and frustrating experience at times.

Started the clear blue opks today in prep for approaching isw. Sorry if tmi, but we dtd last night and DH turned to me after and said 'So round 2 on Friday then?' Grin
I think he's finally got it!

Unfortunately I have started a 9 day stretch of shifts today and I do worry about how up for it I will be feeling .

ElleSarcasmo · 25/02/2016 16:48

Haha Fx! Liking the PMA, you're very right that there are worse problems to have in the grand scheme of things I still want a baby like now though

Jem that was a sterling effort last month! I doubt I can persuade DH to dtd that much! We both enjoy it too but we are weekenders normally and don't usually bother in the week.

Nooo Lyssie! Don't do it, that will be so ouch! I'm squirming thinking about it!

Hep154 · 25/02/2016 14:05

Thanks fx Smile

SuchaJem · 25/02/2016 13:43

Haha lyssie I know the feeling! I need to direct more love towards my uterus ahead of ISW. She needs to be on my side!

fx there's a whole lot to be said for being grateful for what you do have - amen to that. I get a sabbatical next year too - 6 weeks! What do you think you might do with yours?

Lyssie · 25/02/2016 13:22

Af has arrived and she is really ugly. If I'm not pregnant by next month, I may end up shooting my uterus in the face.

FXSkip · 25/02/2016 12:51

Hi all - I am particularly enjoying this one giphy.com/gifs/luRelYnoNcmC4

All you ladies who are feeling down and disheartened, I feel ya. Here are some of the PMA things I try to remind myself of:

  1. I am still me, I am still a woman, and I am a complete person with or without a baby
  2. Millions of people don't have enough food to eat, or live in constant fear, I am so lucky to be who and where I am
  3. Everything I am experiencing will make me stronger, I just have to accept the lessons and be grateful for the opportunity to grow/prepare

When that all fails, I revert back to planning my sabbatical which I will not be able to take if I am on mat leave, so at least I have something amazing to look forward to if it doesn't happen.

Sorry if this is not in any way helpful, but it works for me so maybe a different iteration would work for someone else!

Love and hugs to all x

Hep154 · 25/02/2016 12:00

I have been down..., but i feel positive today. Smile

the 4 months until now have just been practice and coming off the pill, so i get to start afresh with epo and opk.

so thinking that way, i've just begun Smile and maximum sexus (as long as its still fun)

plus i'm on holiday so thats good Grin

SuchaJem · 25/02/2016 11:05

Good luck with the epo elle. I think maximum sexus is the way forward too. Last month we did it Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday and Monday again but this month I'm going to try and lengthen the isw across two weeks. Luckily we both really enjoy the sex and DH is now all aboard the baby boat, so roll on isw I say.

Hope everyone is feeling more positive today Flowers

ElleSarcasmo · 25/02/2016 09:04

Starky your cycle lengths would drive me nuts! Also the not knowing how long it will be...you are a better woman than me to be so calm about it!

Jem I've started taking EPO. I was trying to do OPKs but only managing one a day. I think if I'm honest we just haven't been having enough sex so that is where I plan to direct my efforts this month. Don't think we will manage SMEP though. Hoping the OPKs will help.

Miley hope you're doing ok. Kiwi yogurt sounds like a bad combo with hyperemesis!

Hugs to Evergreen, Starky, Feefs, and everyone else who is fed up. I know what you mean. I feel a bit the same, but I feel I'm to blame for not dtd enough. It is exhausting having to be the mastermind of it all.

Sorry about AF Confused.

Evergreen hope the scans go ok Flowers.

Your poor pupil Jam Sad. Wish it had been you and not her.

Hep no idea!

Love the animal pictures!

ElleSarcasmo · 25/02/2016 08:41

Hello everyone! I had a stinker of a day yesterday and had to go to bed early with a headache. Thankfully woke up and it's gone.

Saw some funnies on another thread for anyone who needs cheering up:

Feefeefs · 25/02/2016 08:37

I think you can ovulate at different times each month hep. I think I am going to get opks next month even though we are taking a break. I think if I do it then hopefully it'll give me a better idea for when we are trying.

AF may arrive anytime from tomorrow to Monday. I'm going to a party on Saturday so have at least a distraction if it comes fri/sat and can have a few glasses. Knowing AF tho she'll get my hopes up and wait till Monday!

Hep154 · 25/02/2016 06:31

Ok, i'm confused.

best wishes to all who have put their opk testers away this month. I am trying to test for the first time.

the cheap opk sticks haven't arrived, so i used the clearblue ov test this morning. I am meeting OH later today for our mini-break away, so didn't see the point in testing before today - especially at £1.45 a pee.

so I am cd11, and on previous months i haven't noticed ewcm until days 15,16 or 22 (for my 37 day cycle).

so, what do i see, i big smiley face corresponding to the lh surge !!!

Have i been getting it wrong this enitire time? Am i having just another fucked up cycle? is the test lying to me? Has the epo i'm taking this month fucked things up ? (i'll stop taking now).

when i have spotted ewcm before, it does correspond nicely to ~14 days before AF. I am usually ... how to put it .... well.... horny.

I am really not very good at diagnosing my moods, but i guess i would describe it as "i want to curl up on the sofa and weep in front of a really trashy movie for no apparent reason- is that ok?" mood.

So i guess i'll assume for my own sanity that is day 1 of the surge.... but i really wasn't expecting it.

"oh hi OH, want to get busy tonight ;) ?"

StarkyTheDirewolf · 25/02/2016 00:23

star tbh there are so few names that go with our surname we've been running on empty since we entertained ttc. Other than classic names which are lovely but definetly not us it's been a minefield! Grin most names we come up with sound like they belong in a John Wayne cowboys and Indians film.

moggy ever Hugo is a bastard. I find he's less irritating when I'm not in fw. During fw he gets most temperamental and is prone to bruising and general twatty behaviour, pretends he's low and then gets stage fright and goes all high. Stupid little vagina gnome.

Moggysinger · 25/02/2016 00:21

FlowersFlowersFlowers for you ladies who have been going for it for months on end, you are my inspiration so please don't give up now! I'm just thinking of all these babes who will be lucky to have us tough mamas who have fought for them from day 1 xx

Moggysinger · 25/02/2016 00:16

ever no wonder you're fed up with dtd, feel awful for you. Sometimes I find it too sensitive, almost painful if my hugo gets poked in certain positions iyswim. And tmi alert - sometimes it feels tight and I bleed a little bit afterwards on the outside and feel a bit sore. But it's not painful as such. How is it painful for you, if you don't mind me asking? I do think these things make a difference psychologically, makes me feel less up for dtd sometimes, as can be anxious about it hurting Confused

stardusty5 · 24/02/2016 23:16

starky Robyn is my favourite girl's name but it doesn't go with my surname at all sadly

StarkyTheDirewolf · 24/02/2016 23:07

Good luck ever fx you can get to the bottom of it excuse the pun

It's one of only 3 names we have agreed upon lyssie the others being 'Roman' and 'Robyn' . It's tricky because most of the names either of us come up with can be vetoed easily because of years of working in clubs and schools. So once you delete strippers we have known with that name and naughty/irritating children we have known with that name the list is surprisingly sparse!

OP posts:
Feefeefs · 24/02/2016 22:51

Good luck ever. It'll be over before you know it! I hope they find a solution for you

Evergreen15 · 24/02/2016 22:38

I have those scans tomorrow
The one holding my wees and the one up my foof
Trying to see why it sometimes hurts so much during dtd Sad

Feefeefs · 24/02/2016 22:13

Sorry about your babybomb jam jar that is a pretty hard one!

Feefeefs · 24/02/2016 22:12

The animals did make me laugh!

It's good to vent too positivity can wait till tomorrow confused I agree! It's difficult because you can't talk more widely about it and sometimes you need to just freak out and be unreasonable

Kwick709 · 24/02/2016 22:10

Thanks lesbecky - really appreciate it :)
