Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 11. Welcome one and all!
We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

Congrats bellini Fingers crossed all goes well for you this time! Love news of a BFP in the morning!

Sorry to hear everyone's feeling a bit blue and frustrated. Fully agree though that this is the right place to vent it - it's difficult to talk about the craziness and how TTC takes over your mind and body with anyone who's not going through it.

Looking forward to the weekend here. Got my DP's neice (age 4) coming to stay for the weekend. There's a possibility it may put me off ever having kids - she's often very erm... How can I put this kindly... Strong willed!! LOL Am hoping she'll be a little angel for us when her parents aren't around!
Am organising lots of little activities with craft and baking to keep her occupied when we're at home and we're heading out to a kids museum plaything during the day so hopefully keeping her busy will keep the tantrums down!

Cailler · 26/02/2016 09:02

Hi all, I'm new here! Although not new to TTC. March will be one year since we first started, although did have a couple of month's break in the Summer as we were moving countries. I estimated the other day that I reckon I have peed on approx 80 sticks over the past year!!

I've been lurking here for the past 10 days and I can't remember who it was but someone inspired me to go on to YouTube and learn how to crochet and I'm now 1/3 of the way through a baby blanket for my SIL so thank you very much for my new favourite hobby!

Congratulations Bellini - lovely to see some happy news to start the weekend!!

Chocaholic88 · 26/02/2016 09:02

Congratulations bellini :)

Eurgghhhhhh I barely slept last night and my sickness is violent this morning...plus if I don't eat for over 30 mins I start feeling nauseous so am having to snack frequently!

Evergreen15 · 26/02/2016 09:02

Rae it is stressful on cycle1 then you get over it. I find it reassuring as you can tell if you ovulate or not and also the length of your phases. Should you need to see a doctor in a few months, you can show them the graphs

Evergreen15 · 26/02/2016 09:00

Jem I agree, I am sure life is better if you are all relaxed, but if the mind was as powerful as to determine whether people get pregnant or not, we wouldn't need contraception.

RaeSkywalker · 26/02/2016 08:59

Those of you that use opks and track temperatures- do they help or make you feel more stressed?

I'd like to try it next cycle if we have no joy this cycle. DH is concerned that it'll become the be all and end all. I think it'd be reassuring to know that I'm actually ovulating! Plus I work in finance and love a good graph... Blush

SuchaJem · 26/02/2016 08:55

elle had a quick read of the reviews for that book and felt instantly stressed! 😳 The idea that it could be something in my head - I'm not thinking the right things - is terrifying. I can see there's a lot to be said for relaxing but I'm quite sceptical about how much your mindset can really influence it.

That said if you think it will help then go for it - and let us know what you think.

RaeSkywalker · 26/02/2016 08:55

Flowers Bellini!

Evergreen15 · 26/02/2016 08:49

Thanks feefs at least there wasnt anything obviously wrong that she could see.... I will have to wait until I see doc. Bah
Bellini wow that is a line. Fingers crossed for you, it doesnt have to be like last time SmileThanks

LisaTheGreek · 26/02/2016 08:49

Congrats Bellini, that's great news! Lovely line! x

SuchaJem · 26/02/2016 08:36

Definite line there Bellini! I would say congratulations are in order :)

Feefeefs · 26/02/2016 08:32

Wooo congratulations Bellini!

Good luck today kwick.

I could be wrong ever but I think on those scans they would see a blockage or cyst or something but they are not great at differtientating different tissue types.

BelliniButterfly · 26/02/2016 08:23

Ah! Why do we do it! Tested early. Ovia says my period due on Sunday but going on last two cycles it would be due on Tuesday.

Got this result with fmu. Feeling nervous after my chemical last month.

Evergreen15 · 26/02/2016 08:16

Feefs farting yep, same here. It was a transabdominal and transvaginal internal scan. I guess I just have to wait for doctor's appointment in a couple of weeks... (Stop trying to use my google medical degree GrinGrin) kwick no reasons yet, still investigating... SadAhhh tight ha, maybe? But it is just some positions oh well! Fed up with the whole thing!
Good luck with the scan! Smile

Kwick709 · 26/02/2016 08:04

So ever did they give you any reasons?

Many eons ago (which when I last dtd) I too had pain problems... Different positions helped as did the consumption of alcohol. A few years ago I had a check over and the Dr said that I was very "tight" and I should try and loosen up by using a vibrator Blush

I appreciate different muscles at play but it is a tad annonying that I have a tight fanjo but a weak pelvic floor Envy.

Sorry if that was TMI.

Anyway have a day 9 scan today - i hope I have loads of follicles!!!

Feefeefs · 26/02/2016 07:54

To the level that I was farting as I typed that

Feefeefs · 26/02/2016 07:53

Ever what kind of scan did you have? I am not a relevant health professional to endometriosis but I though they could only confirm diagnosis by actually looking inside? Maybe she was just looking to see if anything was blocked? Hopefully someone cleverer gives a better answer tho!

Lol at starky' upper class cervix gnomes.

DH started symptom spotting! Normally he knows my period is coming before me too ever but was surprised to here it's due. Only real symptom is farting constantly

Evergreen15 · 26/02/2016 07:01

Ladies I am kind of glad most of us are grumpy as hell and frustrated with the whole thing because misery does like company Blush
I also had a beer at dinner and finally told my OH "if Gregg said they got pregnant first time either he is lying or she is" Envy and continued with "i bet she was poas like a mother ducker and didnt tell" he looked like Hmm
I also told him that after the scan they have ruled out all text book reasons and that the health professional that did the scan said "mmhhh yes, I have seen this before, a case of penis longis, his penis is too big"GrinGrin he had the biggest grin!!!! Grin as if, I said sweety it is a joke (but he kept on smiling as he had gone to his happy place)

Evergreen15 · 26/02/2016 06:56

Ni I think people talk of progesterone cream to lengthen but I dont want to mess my cycles until I am past 6 months and I can see the doctor about it, so she has non altered data to work with Hmm
I have heard of women who got pregnant with a short LP and I think 10 and over is normal if on the short side but hey
So I had my scan and the lady couldnt see anything abnormal which I thought great! She said thinks like looking at your right ovary, I see nada (I kept wondering if that meant no ovary at all) and now even more puzzled about why it hurts!
Sending the results to doctor and then I have to contact doctor and see.
I think I am a bit relieved that at least I have ovaries. I have never had a scan before. Calling all health professionals here Would she have seen something like endometriosis looking? And she didnt? That means I have nada obviously in need of sorting?

Oh well. AF due tomorrow. I feel it is coming as I have been impossible to be around. OH has diagnosed bitch week so she will show up

Worst bit is kat high which translated to Hugh has now autochanged to Hugo. Fucking computer! My cervix has a plethora of vagina gnomes knocking about and all of them upper class private school boys!

Catching up....
Not to be the inside-joke-police but I think you will find it was Hugh not Hugo....
^^
and moggy I'm not a fan of him getting prodded either. I find during ISW when he's high it's more comfortable and when he's low it's a bit painful/odd feeling
