We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

such not everyone O's on 14/15... Plus if you load up on swimmers 12/13 that should cover you!

For the record the cheapie OPKS must work... from my dates I had just ovulate the day I got mine and got a positive from the first one I did for the next 48 hrs... I don't rate the cheapie pregnancy tests... however the OPKs were spot on! :)

Just bought 50 sensitive OPK strips off Amazon. Let the testing commence this month!

HOWEVER, have just realised DH will be in Miami on days 14 and 15 of my cycle this month :( these are probably my peak ov days?!

ni and feef I've given myself till June too, ill probably say we've been ttc for a year even though it'looks have been 7 months by then. I had a feeling that ttc wouldn't go as I'd imagined it cycle 1 which is why I started tracking this time last year with my ovulation and periods so I could go in loaded with data. Although it's only the last few months I've been using opk's so before that it was mainly done on assumption!

Feefs that's totally understandable...I bet loads of people do it. If it's not worked after 6months (or by bday 34 in June) I'll request blood tests

I'm being terrible but I think if I wanted the tests from the GP sooner I would just "exaggerate" the length of time we were trying? Probably a terrible thing to say but it's the truth! I actually told one about 6months ago that we would be trying soon too so think I would get away with it!

We've been trying to conceive only for a bit over half a year before I went for tests, but because I'm close to 40 (in eight weeks ... gulp!) my GP suggested to do a blood test to reassure me all is well. That backfired a bit. :-p
Haven't been temping because I'm getting up far too often during the night to get a reliable reading - I've read somewhere that it should be after so many hours of uninterrupted sleep.

Ctulhoo how long were you ttc before you went for tests? There's no harm starting dtd earlier...that's my plan for next month...make sure there are huge reserves of swimmers in my lady tubes and waiting with baited breath for egg release! Also, have you been temping?

evergreen I genuinely mean this from the bottom of my heart: I have no complaints over how I'm feeling at all and am weirdly grateful. It's reassuring in a weird way. Plus I'm plodding through work now thanks to my amazing team pulling together as ever! ☺

waves Hello again (and declaring thread(s) bankruptcy)! Still here, still trying, just had to take a break for a couple of weeks of reading the forums.

I've had my second blood test (similarly unconvincing) and my GP has now put in a referral to a fertility specialist. Fingers crossed this referral comes through fast.

The GP also suggested to act as if the ovulation date was 14 days from the end of the cycle which would be a couple of days earlier than the ovulation testing kits would indicate. I'm skeptical: I'd think it's more likely that I have a short luteal phase than that the tests give the wrong results. What do y'all experts think?

Problem with our neighbours is they seem to employs people with a cowboy mentality to do the work. At least this lot are pleasant, and have shifted their van without being asked.

The last lot but two I had to threaten with the environmental health/police because they kept parking directly across the drive, blocking us in "ill only be 5 minutes, love " and then disappearing for hours at a time.

And the last lot blocked us in, then complained when I asked them to move because "but I'll have to turn the van around! What time do you need access?"

That set me off "what time do I need access? To my house? I need access all day! It's my house! I'm not the one having work done! Park over their drive, the people who are paying you to do a botch job! Shift it or ill phone your boss, the police and put pictures all over social media saying how rude you are!". ...He shifted it

This is going to be a nightmare miley dogs have now noticed the result, psychotic fluffed up chihuahuas doing "I'm a big dog, honest! " yapping!

Because our house is on the top of a hill it's usually quite secluded at the back despite being in a busy area. Just had to go and warn Dh to keep his tackle hidden when he gets up and opens the curtains!

ever it's definitely not quite how I was expecting it to be. I'm lying in bed eating prawn cocktail discos (wtf?) And quality street toffee penny yogurt thingies. My taste buds are changing on a daily basis!

Haha starky that was me last year, our neighbours had their loft converted and the scaffolders could see into my bedroom which I kept completely forgetting about after a shower or bath. I used to just cover my modesty and drop to the floor and sort of slug my way back out of the bedroom until I could find some emergency clothes.

We have scaffolders next door. I'm really going to have to remember not to wander about semi clothed, they can now see directly into my kitchen, bedroom and my entire garden. The dogs haven't twigged yet, but at least this lot haven't parked in front of our drive!

rae you should do whatever makes you feel less stressed.

I am glad I tested as my ov a lot earlier than I was expecting. Now though I need you girls to keep me grounded in reality as we did the DTD with perfect timing so naturally I will be poking my boobs continuously for the next 2 weeks. Just hope the drunken little swimmers found their way.... Will try my best seduction techniques tonight for less drunken swimmers before the "window" closes. (Sorry, tmi!)

I'll prob opk again tomorrow, as I am still surprised with yesterday's positive opk.

Thanks Ever, Moose and Ni. I think I'll talk to him about it again. I just want to check that things are actually happening (and when they're happening). I know that ewcm is a fairly acceptable guide but it doesn't show that you've actually ovulated, does it. I'll see what he says!

Rae I was worried I wasn't ovulating (for no good reason!) so I find it helpful to temp and opk. Plus now I know roughly when I ovulated (CD18/19 Grin ) It has helped to explain some of it OH (he still hasn't a clue "surely your temperature just increases when the heating comes on"!) because then when I say it's time to dtd he does what he's told!

rae I am on cycle one and I used OPK's and found it really reassuring to see that everything appeared to be working as it should and at the correct time! My only issue was I felt the pressure to DTD on those days and when DP wasn't playing ball it was pretty stressful! Without knowing when I was fertile I'd have been a lot more relaxed!
