Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 11. Welcome one and all!
We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

Fluffs up all the pillows on the Pisshead Sofa and kicks the f'ing cat off, as she keeps sticking her whiskers in my Pinot.
All are welcome here. The only mandatory requirement is a fraying thread of sanity. 🍷

StarkyTheDirewolf · 17/02/2016 19:39

Love you too snow 😍😂🐘💓 feeling is mutual! Good post! Needed that! So thank you! Fuck it, I'm having a gin and bitter lemon!

Snowdog - couldn't agree more!! Flowers to all!

Snowdog37 · 17/02/2016 19:34

Hugs to everyone who's feeling a bit crappy about all this ttc stuff now. It's hard (and probably unreasonable!) to stay positive through all the ups and downs and stress and expense and pain and frustration and excitement. That's why I LOVE ❤️❤️❤️❤️ this thread. We are all in it together and we are all at various points in our journeys, we can all support each other and get support from each other with no judgement or expectation. I love hearing of all the bfps as they arrive on this thread, they encourage me to keep going. I also get comfort from the bfn's as it means I'm not alone in not getting a bfp this cycle. We will all eventually be in the Grads thread and in the meantime let's keep the love and support (and wine) flowing.

(I might be a little unsober thanks to wine on an empty stomach)

(I love you all)

🍷❤️🍷💐❤️

iPatches
how about planning a nice weekend away to look forward to ? a mini holiday ?

iPatches · 17/02/2016 19:16

I can't knit. I have a cross stitch but I bought it for a friend who is pregnant so don't really fancy that.

I am just tired of thinking about this.

Ni4444 · 17/02/2016 19:13

Stats post wouldn't fly...apologies if 2 or more now post!

Ttc#1
Cycle 5...bored now!!!
CD13 of 28-33 days
O day expected in 5-8 days. Should be dtd but bored of it all now!
Ttc cray cray: temping, controlled use of Ovia and FF, started taking EPO this cycle. Opks and pre-seed lube to start again in coming days

Lesbecky · 17/02/2016 19:07

I cannot knit or crochet so I've been colouring in. I treated myself to a pack of pencils. It's been brilliant for getting through all the waiting games of this cycle.

Feefeefs · 17/02/2016 19:01

Sorry your feeling low ipatches I second knitting

KatOnATinRo0f · 17/02/2016 19:00

feef if you cross it out stark won't see and then you still get a star i promise i won't tell her

pug i am with you. i am completely fed up of the whole thing now. today i can't even be bothered to be stressed about how long its been. just whatever.

KatOnATinRo0f · 17/02/2016 18:57

vote 2 for crochet.

Ni4444 · 17/02/2016 18:57

A new thread and 4 pages?! Ah, slow down!!

Congrats Yvonne (more comments to follow....)

Feefeefs · 17/02/2016 18:49

Kat I secretly used a FRER last month for that exact reason.

Avriljen · 17/02/2016 18:47

Hi! I'd like to join in! Been lurking on your threads for the past month but we are now officially ttc so it's time to join.

Age 31
Ttc #1
Cycle #1
Cycle day #4

Have quite long cycles so AF not due until 17th March, might even be later, tend to be 32-38 days so never know when it'll arrive. That'll make for a nice calm 2ww!!

Hep154 · 17/02/2016 18:44

Pug I think i was exactly in your situation only 2 days ago. it sucks, but the best thing is to wait and if AF is still pissing about with you take another test. I got to the point where i just wanted to know one way or the other!

I understand how you are feeling.

Pugmummy87 · 17/02/2016 18:40

Ever definitely red and a bit (tmi, sorry) clotty looking. So fed up of this now. Can feel cramping again, so maybe I got a bit ahead of myself and she'll turn up in full glory later.

I went and did an ic test and opk just in case, ic was a bfn, faint line on the opk. Maybe I should get a FRER? Don't want to waste money though when I'm 99% certain I'm not pregnant.

Ipatches sorry you are feeling low. Flowers But as Ever has said, you are entitled to feel sad and upset. This TTC lark is emotionally draining.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 17/02/2016 18:35

I'm a part time cross stitcher hep between that and crochet it's definitely helped my anxiety. It's doing something constructive which requires attention but not necessarily a massive amount of concentration. You can pick up and put down at leisure and if you do it wrong, it's easy enough to unpick and restart. Dh constantly asks me why I've got 15 different projects on the go though! Because I got bored, ill come back to it! Grin

Hep154 · 17/02/2016 18:32

I took up cross-stitch to help with my anxiety issues. Similar experience to Starky i guess, it helps clear my mind.

I also try to go for a walk each weekend with the OH to get some exercise and winter sun.

Evergreen15 · 17/02/2016 18:31

I agree with starky, I first took up knitting years ago when I decided to quit smoking Smile

StarkyTheDirewolf · 17/02/2016 18:29

patches crochet. A hook and a ball of wool. And then I find something on YouTube to follow the pattern on, stick the TV on something benign in the background and enjoy it with a brew. It takes my mind of stuff without having to actually concentrate, if that makes sense.

Welcome rae

Cycle 3, Cd 2, still feeling positive generally, but feel a lot more battle worn now, less sprint more long distance run I hate running unless something is chasing me my uterus is engaging in a full blown self destruction in order to avenge all the babies I'm not having in 9 months.

OP posts:
Evergreen15 · 17/02/2016 18:23

IPatches you have the right to feel like this. So what if you have been trying for 3 months instead of a year? What if you know that can actually get pregnant? You are entitled to feel upset and sad about all this. I have never been pregnant / lost a pregnancy so I can't imagine how hard that would be.
I blame the movies and people that play it down. We all knew that part of the story, the pregnancy announcement, but nothing could prepare for the stress and emotions attached to ttc.
Luckily we have this forum. As most of us are not telling people we are ttc
Hugs ThanksThanks

RaeSkywalker · 17/02/2016 18:17

Can I join?

Age 28, ttc #1, cycle #1.

I'm never ill and got sent home from work today with an awful headache/ migraine. DH keeps asking if I feel sick too, suspect that he thinks it might be an early symptom and that it's got his hopes up. I think I've just had a really stressful week!

Hep154 · 17/02/2016 18:14

I'm trying to be positive.

I've decided that if my cycle is going back to being irregular, i get to dtd for a two week period, so there are lots of chances to hit the sweet spot!

as for giving up the booze, I have decided to cut down, but I am not putting everything on hold. I think the best thing to do is to stay calm and reduce stress and enjoy all the attempts!

Each cycle is a brand new start for us to try again!

iPatches · 17/02/2016 18:10

Thanks everyone. I know it could be worse. We haven't been trying for that long; we clearly can get pregnant (if not stay pregnant), etc etc. Right now it just feels like a really, really long road that I'm stuck half way down with miles of waiting in front of me. I don't have anyone to talk to about it because no one knows we are TTC, except DH and whilst he is supportive, he doesn't view it in the way I do (I bet he's never tested his pee for anything in his life...). He's a "it'll happen when it happens" person. I'm a "I want my own way and I want it right NOW" person. He also didn't really know how to deal with losing the first pregnancy so we've both been through it. Sigh.

I need a project. Any suggestions?!

KatOnATinRo0f · 17/02/2016 18:01

lol miley not you.... put your veiny boobs away ;)
also lol at ammunition.. haha!
yep, exactly, having already got pregnant once is a huge thing, good sign that you can actually do it... I'm sitting over here wondering if its never going to work because i actually can't. which is a horrible feeling.
