Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 11. Welcome one and all!
We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

Hi everyone. Can I join? I could really use some positive vibes as it seems like I've been trying alone for ages.

bluebird
Age: 29 (but 30 in 2 weeks...eek!)
Ttc #1
Cycle #12 😞
Cd 11

My cycles are 28-31 days, so I have two more trys before I can see the GP. Not had a single Bfp so I'm thinking something might not be right. I've been through it all though. Symptom spotted every possible combination, used opks, read the books. I've been temping for 4 months. First 3 months had nice temp rise at ovulation, but no rise this last month, so maybe no ovulation? Not sure. Anyways, for anyone who is starting to get frustrated...I found the first 7-8 months really hard, but have now settled into a more relaxed approach.

Alice I love that paper cutting piece!
We booked a weekend away for next month! I cant wait! I can no longer dedicate all my energies to ttc. Although the trip falls on my predicted isw Grin

I went to catholic school and scared the bejesus out of us with teenage pregnancy stories Envy and now what?? Why is my eggo.. Bah

Evergreen15 · 17/02/2016 21:27

I am having Wine
I said this 2ww would be different. I am already off sugar, tea and coffee and pretty much all alcohol apart from AF week and today as well. Whatever. 2dpo I dont think my egg would notice if my egg is actually there

twinkydink · 17/02/2016 21:26

The last few posts were just what I needed to read! I didn't realise it yesterday but AF arriving has really knocked me and I've been really grumpy and snappy with DP. I know it's unfair on him but I just don't feel like he understands how I feel at the moment. Like someone else said he is very much on the what will be will be bandwagon which I'm finding frustrating!

I know he's trying to be supportive but it's just grating on me!!! I don't care if it's only cycle 3 and it can take on average 6 months! I'm hoping I wake up in a better mood cos he doesn't deserve my moods!

Congrats Lara

SuchaJem · 17/02/2016 21:21

ipatches I think it will be more nerve wracking following a mc, you're only too painfully aware of what can go wrong, and so often does. It happens to so many women - most of whom go on to safe successful pgs. Really hoping its plain sailing for you now and as time passes you can relax a bit.

Absolutely up for baby now button where can I get one of these pleeeeeeeaaaase

Pinklily1 · 17/02/2016 21:03

Congratulations Lara!

Ni4444 · 17/02/2016 21:03

Ahahaha Kat I have the same thoughts! I don't believe AF is AF anymore! I feel the need for an ic AFTER AF just to 100% confirm it wasn't implantation bleeding! ive resisted this month...go me!!

ElleSarcasmo · 17/02/2016 20:58

Next cycle I'm getting me some EPO too Ni!

ElleSarcasmo · 17/02/2016 20:57

Congratulations Lara!! How exciting! Flowers Flowers Flowers

Well said about the thread Snow. I can't talk to anyone in real life about this stuff either, at least not in the same level of detail! I love you all for listening and for being lovely people to share this journey. 💕💕💕

Alice that is amazing! How on earth did you make that?

Welcome lovely newbies! Smile

Ni4444 · 17/02/2016 20:51

Ooh Lara congrats!!!! Flowers And you were on EPO?! Ooh giving me hope it might help!!

Still catching up...while watching Paul O Grady-cute puppies!!!!! 🐶

iPatches · 17/02/2016 20:36

Jem - I don't mind trying again straight away; I'm keen to get started as fast as possible and am actively trying to invent a time machine to get on with this back in 2014 BUT I don't have a good feeling about conceiving this month. And I know that when I do conceive, I won't be happy about it like I was the first time because it will be overshadowed by the fear that the same thing will happen again. But that's just something I have to work through and deal with if I'm fortunate enough to get a BFP again somewhere down the line.

We need a Baby Now Button.

SuchaJem · 17/02/2016 20:33

hep we get out for a walk every weekend too, does you good to blow the cobwebs out and catch up with each other.

Welcome avril too it's lovely having all these new people

lesbecky I love colouring! Haven't done it for a while - your message has prompted me to dig my book out

snow that's such a lovely post. Totally share those sentiments, it's great to share feelings with people going through the same thing. I can't talk to anyone irl in this level of detail - not even DH!

ipatches yes yes yes we try and stop it happening for so many years and all of a sudden it's like "I'm ready this means pregnant + baby now please". I'm not sure what the answer is as I haven't felt fully ready until now and neither has my DH (we are 32 and 31). How are you feeling about trying again straight away, what does your gut tell you?

iPatches · 17/02/2016 20:30

JamJar - your situation doesn't sound that dissimilar, other than my delight at being pregnant and then not. DH and I have been together a similar length of time and have spent a lot of that time "preparing" for TTC. I now feel like we should have started forever ago. I keep thinking back to Biology lessons in school where we were told that so much as thinking about having sex would result in immediate pregnancy and then spent so much of my adult life terrified that it would happen "before we were ready" and now we are ready and it turns out it's bloody difficult! It's a conspiracy I tell you.

DH has asked what happens if we don't TTC this month. I don't feel like we will. Last time I was so confident that we would, and we did, but it didn't work out. I have told him to be on standby with wine and chocolate and cancel all plans on 4/3 when AF arrives.

Alice - that is beautiful!

Feefeefs · 17/02/2016 20:25

Jamjar12 · 17/02/2016 20:15

Hey ipatches
I'm also coming to the end of my third cycle. I can't say that I know how you're feeling because your situation is unique to you, but I certainly sympathise. I've been feeling ok about it this month but now that I can feel AF coming on and suddenly realised I wasn't prepared for it at all. Kind of feels like a kick in the gut.

But then of course there's that ever present but this might be the month! that's there every single day apart from when there's physical AF proof. That's the bit that's kind of killing me. Constantly hanging on, always hoping.

We've been together over 10 years. It's taken us this long to get ourselves in a position where we both want to start trying. I've been so patient and waited until DH has got here on his own terms but I feel like we've wasted years just assuming it'll happen straight away. It really isn't like the movies. I hate the uncertainty of it and how helpless it makes me feel.

You're not alone.

iPatches · 17/02/2016 20:02

Hep a mini holiday/weekend away would help for sure. Just need the motivation to organise it...
