Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 11. Welcome one and all!
We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

Sorry it didn't tag @ipatches

Lesbecky · 18/02/2016 19:55

Bloody hell it moves fast around here. I'm sorry to hear about the mmc, ipatches. It's properly shit and you should take time to grieve properly. So what if it's early? You had a due date and a new lifestyle in mind and now you won't get that.

I'm breaking all rules I set myself about obsessing over symptoms. Oooh is this bloating my I've meds or a sign. Is my boob really sore or am I poking it too hard. Am I hungry all the time of just a greedy cow.

I'm so happy to have found you lot. This seems like a great bunch.

Kathrino · 18/02/2016 19:48

Your pic was super relevant stardust as I did an OPK this afternoon for fun and had zero line. I'm CD 14 and would have expected to ovulate in the next couple of days. No idea what's going on...

Mileymoocow · 18/02/2016 19:28

stardust that sounds lovely. I love baby bumps, they look so cute even though I have a phobia of bellybuttons I imagine they look really canny in a wedding dress.

choc I can't wait to see how far on you are!

stardusty5 · 18/02/2016 19:17

Congratulations harriet. My friend recently got married at 5 months pregnant. Her bump was massive considering how far along she was, and she looked beautiful. It was a lovely day.

Evergreen15 · 18/02/2016 19:16

Choc what terrible news. Best of luck with tests, keep us posted.

I am having Wine again. I am 3dpo so my egg should be travelling along, maybe with company. But I think I am here for the long term, so glass of wine I want, glass of wine I have. It will be different when I get a BFP

stardusty5 · 18/02/2016 19:13

Phew, thanks ni and kat!
Hoping i don't miss the surge. Haven't tried epo yet but i might do next time as i don't tend to notice a lot of cm, amd ovia likes to do those "erm.... Oh well at least youre not on your period" type comments at me!

Thanks for you ipatches

Ni4444 · 18/02/2016 19:06

I hear you peaches. Even within a week of BFP i know I will have gotten so attached to scan dates, due dates, future plans and fantasies. I think I really worry about my ability to cope if I were to experience that loss. Sending love to all our ladies going through it xxx

Stardust I started opks last month and yes mine faded like that before getting darker again before O day CD18.

celizabe · 18/02/2016 19:00

cat definitely didn't cause any offence for me either, I was just sharing how I felt.... Mostly to let Ipatches know that I've been I that boat with her. Everyone's well wishes are always taken the way they're meant. Never meant to make you feel awkward at all. Everyone needs the positives pointed out sometimes!! X

KatOnATinRo0f · 18/02/2016 18:59

Hi newbies
Blue I'm sorry you've been trying so long. I'm also glad to have another veteran on the thread. You can join me and kwick and whoever else has been going for more than half a year already

KatOnATinRo0f · 18/02/2016 18:58

Jem she means IC I think x

KatOnATinRo0f · 18/02/2016 18:58

Hi all. Working backwards through the thread...
Stardust yup mine are like this. I'm CD 11 now and hardly any line. Don't get to do mine today until 10pm (at evening class straight from work) but will post a photo of this month. I've been taking EPO this month it doesn't delay o does it? I know it's only early but I had strong ish lines from day 8 the last few cycles.

Peaches8Posies · 18/02/2016 18:48

starky sounds like our teachers were of the same mindset! Thankfull now for those articles I read in j-17 mizz & cosmo haha

I've had friends and family suffer mc in both early and later pregnancy. Such a horrible horrible thing to have to suffer. Although they have all gone on to have successful pregnancies they all have told me they will always mourn the loss of the child they never had. I'm glad it's something we talk about bit more about now. Suffering in silence only makes the loss harder to deal with. And places like this were we can chat and be supportive are really important. Hugs to you all ladies ❤

stardusty5 · 18/02/2016 18:45

Hi all. Got myself a brew and about to catch up
Cd 14 here. Been opking since af stopped. Are anyone elses opks consistently this low? I'm not expecting ov until around day 20 so i'm not expecting a positive yet but my LH seems to have reduced over the last week. Is this normal??

My dog wants snuggles but he's been at my grandparents and he smells like whatever they've had for tea 😷 poor fella will have to wait until daddy's home.

Sorry about af pug but your dog has an awesome name.

ipatches sorry you're feeling shitty Sad I know nothing we can say will help all that much but we're always here to listen when you want to vent.

Our sex ed was basically here's a panty liner and tampon. You will need it for when you bleed. You bleed because eggs. Sex can make you not bleed because eggs. Eggs. It was absolutely diabolical, really. My dm is very approachable on subjects like that, luckily.

SuchaJem · 18/02/2016 18:22

dubya what's an of please?

Sorry it's AF pug chocolate and wine and blankets / snuggles for you

stark I'm shocked by your religious sex 'education' - that's appalling!

Hep154 · 18/02/2016 18:03

I knew i was distracted last week when AF was unusually late. Just realised several work-things that fell through the net. I'm usually so organised. I'll just have to apologise and make excuses.....

ah b*er. Sad

Dubbya · 18/02/2016 17:33

Sorry about af pug enjoy 🍷🛁 when you're home

iPatches · 18/02/2016 17:32

Cat - you haven't offended me Flowers. I know you are just trying to point out the positives. Please don't worry - my post wasn't aimed at you or anyone else on this thread.

I know we can try again. I know it would be worse later in a pregnancy. I know it's common. My doctor and DH keep saying these things. It just doesn't help when you're the one going through it. Kinda like, if you were in a car accident - not hurt, but shaken up - it's not helpful to hear that it could have been worse and that you can get a new car.

Pugmummy87 · 18/02/2016 17:31

So AF is most definitely here, no mistaking it. On to cycle 4 it is.

In desperate need of chocolate and just want to soak in a warm, lush filled bath, but can't until I've come home from taking Miss Moneypenny to puppy class. Crampy and teary.

Dubbya · 18/02/2016 17:15

Thoughts to ipatches and all those affected by mc, I have a few friends who had recent experiences, so traumatic.

sucha did another of and a bfn, stark white not even a hint of a squinter! I'm thinking I must be on another longer cycle like my first one so perhaps af will arrive tmrw or Saturday.

Confusedcat1 · 18/02/2016 16:55

Sorry I patches. I didn't mean to offend.

miwelaisjacydo · 18/02/2016 16:51

Ipatches sending you hugs X

miwelaisjacydo · 18/02/2016 16:45

Just though I would add that slap cheek stops your bone marrow from working. That's why it's dangerous when pregnant.

iPatches · 18/02/2016 16:00

Celizabe - thank you for sharing your story. I can't imagine what you have been through.

I agree that "it's really common" and "you can try again" aren't helpful - I don't want to be a statistic and I don't really want to try again, though of course we will. I'm angry and upset and frustrated. I feel like I've had all my hopes built up and then I've just been smacked around the head. It might be "common" - but it still happened. I might be able to "try again" - but this still happened! Sad I know people mean well, and I know that they are trying to offer comfort, but it isn't helpful.

Today is not a good day. OPK are also showing negative when this time "last" cycle I had a positive OPK today.
