Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 11. Welcome one and all!
We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

space nausea sounds promising. The man hand bra is great, DH is always up for this move too :)

Tmi but rather amorous with said DH this am - he had v early start. I got intense uteral cramps after orgasm, which freaked me right out and made me think AF was here. Google says it's common in early pg but it felt so period pain like!
DH has gone now until Sunday and made me promise I can't test until then.
I've also woken up with a sore throat and blocked nose and really really don't want to go to work...

Calyx72 · 19/02/2016 07:19

Thanks Hep Smile

Hep154 · 19/02/2016 06:59

Calyx72 hugs and Flowers
each month is such an emotional punch isn't it? I keep telling my self to not get my hopes up, and every month ....

Sounds as if you are with the right DP now though.

Calyx72 · 18/02/2016 23:44

Ach well cycle 1's not this old lady's cycle as I'm 13 dpo and started spotting. The prosecco in the fridge is awaiting tomorrow, DP coming home for the weekend so at least I can drink some fizz and snuggle.

Actually bitterly disappointed as kind of thought I was going to succeed haha. Tried ttc with exh in my thirties for two years, he was an alcoholic so luckily it didn't happen but during that time I got tests etc and all looked well. My DP is awesome and funny and caring and supportive and everything I thought I couldn't get - also my ov didn't happen till cd18 when he got home - so superstitiously just felt it was going to happen ConfusedBlush

Ramble ramble eh! Sorry and thanks for listening haha! Onwards and upwards.

KatOnATinRo0f · 18/02/2016 22:57

Lollllllll space at you DH gently holding your boobs for you!!! I bet he was loving that!!
Mine hurt pre AF too but they aren't really be enough to hold on to even when they boost up a bit.

SpaceDinosaur · 18/02/2016 22:54

Dino
TTC #1
Cycle #3
32
No idea how many DPO I am. The apps are just a pita!
Starky I had a month like that last month. I was curled around a hot water bottle contemplating a blood transfusion! Never had such a shocking period in my life.

I'm due to poas on Tuesday.
My boobs are achy as fuck to the point where I made DH just hold them last night and I used his hands as a lovely warm bra in bed for a while.
I feel bloated
I've had a 2 day headache
I nearly vomited whilst teaching this morning. Water and breathing stopped it thank Christ!
And I'm SPOTTY Angry
I don't know if the head was the cause of the pukey
If AF is the cause of the boobs
If I just ate too much.

So. I'm now at the insane level of crazy symptom spotting and I WANT TO PISS ON A STICK DAMMIT!!!

Kathrino · 18/02/2016 22:49

There are other people who share my belly button phobia?! This makes me so happy / less crazy feeling. I had my gallbladder removed through an incision in my belly button and I'm still traumatised by the whole thing. My doc found it absolutely hilarious.

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 18/02/2016 22:44

Ever you enjoy that Wine nothing wrong with it :) fx for you this cycle.

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 18/02/2016 22:42

may sounds like your not leaving them to dry out before reading them?
I thought they were read like pregnancy tests and if no line within a couple mins I chucked them Grin whoops

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 18/02/2016 22:40

hello ladies, lots of catching up again tonight! I must take more work breaks in day

Thanks for reassuring words about my bfn. I'm pretty convinced af will be coming in 4 days time now as symptoms have disappeared and cervix has gone hard which I'm pretty sure is consistent with pre-af.
Really disappointing as I've never had so many symptoms in 2ww! especially the horribly sore boobs. I wonder whether the soy isoflavones influenced it? Although that's estrogren and I thought progesterone is the cause of 2ww symptoms.

Never mind... Countdown to af...

jem I've got high hopes for you though :)

choc sorry to hear about your friend, must be incredibly painful :(

ipatches no words other than be kind to yourself Flowers

Catching up....

KatOnATinRo0f · 18/02/2016 22:25

May which ones do you have? I have the one-step ones from Amazon and I haven't had a problem with them. After you dip them, how long are you leaving them before you read them?

Pugmummy87 · 18/02/2016 22:16

Miley I'm glad I'm not the only one with a belly button phobia. I shudder and feel ill whenever I see people fiddling with them, boak.
My DH named Miss Moneypenny. Our other pug is called Frank (I always wanted a pug called Frank thanks to MIB).

My bff is 31 weeks pregnant and has had the most awful hyperemesis all the way through, has developed pelvic girdle pain and 2 days ago got rushed into hospital via ambulance bleeding. Thankfully the bleeding has stopped and they have given her steroids to mature baby's lungs in case they need to deliver. Consultant sent her home this morning as her anxiety levels were through the roof (she's had 7 miscarriages) on strict resting orders. I'll be glad when baby is in her arms, god only knows how she must feel. He's going to be a big boy though, estimated weight of 4lbs at the moment.
Going to have to get my arse in gear with crocheting a blanket!

I am feeling better now I've had a nice relaxing bath.

May07 · 18/02/2016 21:50

No I have tried to be really careful and even if I only put the very top in still happens! Obviously don't suit me ... Just a shame CB test are so expensive. Fingers cross we get lucky quickly!

If anyone wants the ones I can't use let me know!!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 18/02/2016 21:16

Is it possible you're flooding the test may ? I always leave a few milimeters below the dont dip here line. But other than that, I'm not sure!

Definetly will share my massive chocolate haul! Dh was shitty with me today twice so I'm going to guilt the fuck out of him all weekend.

Omg starky! They're brilliant! Always a laugh. We're not watching it tonight cause darts is on. Also, please can you send your lovely petrified husband my way? I think I'm hormonal enough for the entirety of fucking cadbury world at the minute Grin my OH has stocked the fridge/freezer with creme egg shit. I hate creme eggs Angry

Dubbya · 18/02/2016 20:59

Ooh I want chocolate now stark, that's a good selection!

Yes I did mean an ic sucha thanks kat.

May07 · 18/02/2016 20:58

I love bake off!!

So quick OPK question. I have some from Amazon think the same as a few on here have been using. However when I dip the red dye just runs and fills the whole strip rather than showing lines. Anyone else experienced this?

I sent a msg to company in amazon who sent me another batch however have exactly the same problem.

I literally now have 100 that I can't use (also had same issue with preg test!). Luckily the Clear blue ones seem to be doing the job!!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 18/02/2016 20:51

Why did nobody tell me that great British bakeoff are doing a sport relief thing!? It's amazing! And I've got wine! And Dh has brought me more chocolate! I think he's a bit frightened of me my hormones at the minute because he keeps bringing me chocolate. This week I've had a giant box of ferero rocher, family size box of malteasers, and now, a tube of smarties, mini eggs and some milky buttons.

Thank you mileymoocow

bluebird3 · 18/02/2016 20:37

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Went to the park today with two friends with kids. Nice to see them, but the park was full of babies and mums and it was a big fat reminder of NO BABY. I even ended up riding the small train. It was the ride of shame of an adult on a children's train with no child! Sigh...I think I'll have a glass of wine, quick moan, then try to be positive again tomorrow. Wishing everyone lots of baby dust.

Mileymoocow · 18/02/2016 20:36

lesbecky you have to asterisk it like miley but without the spaces

Lesbecky · 18/02/2016 20:25

Oh thank goodness. You are my people. I'm leaving the tagging people alone though!!

Hep154 · 18/02/2016 20:22

hah!

yes, the my sore boobs (because i keep poking them) and the needing to pee (cos I have to keep checking for signs of AF) - been there!

Mileymoocow · 18/02/2016 20:18

lesbecky you've made me lol Grin bloating could definitely be a symptom but it could also be a fart. And we do like a good fart round here!

Lesbecky · 18/02/2016 19:56

Oh bigger it.
