Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 11. Welcome one and all!
We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

Confusedcat1 · 19/02/2016 12:32

Your baby bird will come bluebird Flowers

bluebird3 · 19/02/2016 12:23

So sorry for your loss jem it really puts things in perspective. The other day I was complaining to dh about how unfair it is to still not be preggo when I've been doing everything right for 10 months. He just said that's it's unlucky and there are a lot of people unlucky in other, worse ways. He is right, although it is hard!

jam sorry af got you. I know it's really hard, but I've found it easier to stop putting timelines in. When I started last year, I thought I'd have a Christmas baby, then an Easter baby, then by my 30th, etc. each time I miss a 'timeline' point it was really hard. The last month or two I've managed to stop thinking in those terms and have found it way easier to deal with the disappointment if af arrives. Although, hopefully you won't have as long a wait as I've had!

Confusedcat1 · 19/02/2016 11:56

jem im so sorry :(

OK I've got one swollen heavy boob. The other one is normal. Is that a thing?

That and a huge spot on my chin is making me think af is coming. But it's not due for ages. Maybe she's coming early, the cow.

To everyone that's feeling sad.... Flowers

celizabe · 19/02/2016 11:41

Jem so sorry to hear your sad news, thinking of you Flowers

Peaches8Posies · 19/02/2016 11:34

Morning ladies. Hope there's some fun weekend plans happening. I'm trying hard to blend pulling my house apart with ISW! Vowed to give up alcohol for lent. Seemed a good idea at the time, not so much right now. A little glass of wine would go down lovely tonight haha no more DIY for a loonnnnngg time after this.

Sorry to hear the witch has got some of you again! Enjoy your drinks and choc and fingers crossed it's bfp's next month x

jem sorry to hear your sad news. Take time to look after yourself. It's always hard to say goodbye but things will get easier soon and you'll smile when you think of your friend and your happy times together. In the meantime sending you love and hugs xx

Mileymoocow · 19/02/2016 11:10

jem it'll be raw for a while. It's so unfair Sad I still miss him every day but I just try to remember the happy memories and good times. Nothing anyone can say will take the pain away but you just have to cope however you can in whatever way you want and if that means taking time away from work then do it and don't feel bad.

Mileymoocow · 19/02/2016 11:02

fx that's brilliant. It's just what I've been saying to OH this morning - it'll all be worth struggling through in the end! I spewed an orange through my nose this morning so that was a new thing to me...

Nurse at work has told me that she thinks I need to take a couple of weeks off as the fatigue and nausea/vomiting is a vicious circle. So here I am waiting to call my doctor for my first ever sick note!

Happy Friday everyone! Please enjoy some wine and food for me, too!

SuchaJem · 19/02/2016 10:55

Thank you girls. I just left and went for a walk to call my mum and ball my eyes out properly.
Back now with coffee and flapjack and am going to try and distract myself with spreadsheets to get through the day.
miley I'm sorry about your friend too, it just hurts so much.

FXSkip · 19/02/2016 10:53

Morning all, I'm so sorry to hear all you lovely ladies who are struggling with grief and AF and disappointment. I wish I had something to say that would make it better for you all, but unfortunately only time will help, and know that in time all this won't feel so raw.

When I'm having a hard time I think of Beyonce's mum Tina saying '“If you’re going through it just know it’s called ‘going through it.’ You’re not gonna get stuck there, you’re not gonna die. You’re gonna survive.”

Big hugs and kisses and chocolate (and water for the vommers) to everyone xxx

Planeteer · 19/02/2016 10:49

Oh jem I'm so sorry. Sending you so many hugs. Let yourself feel as raw and sad and angry as you like, and if you need to head home from work do it and don't feel guilty. ThanksLook after yourself lovely.

Mileymoocow · 19/02/2016 10:30

jem I'm so sorry to hear about your friend! It's always such a shock. I know how you feel, I lost a friend in November. Please take the time to grieve and remember the good times you had. Flowers and please don't feel awful. You weren't to know. Take care of yourself and cry as much as you want

SuchaJem · 19/02/2016 10:15

Sorry for those AF got. If she comes for me next week celiz I'll be joining you for that gallon of wine! I would usually be treating myself to a rather large glass of red wine tonight but am going to resist just in case. I am not going to be best pleased if this is in vain!

Just had a horrible shock clicking on Facebook. A very dear friend has died. She called me Monday to ask if I could come and play in a quartet, which I couldn't make. She said it "would mean a lot to me". She was unwell but thought she was getting better. I feel so awful now and have just been sat sobbing at my desk :(

celizabe · 19/02/2016 09:45

AF arrived this morning - almost 4 days late, the cow!! Don't feel too bad, luckily, so I'm on the March bus now. I'm going to have a gallon of wine this weekend and then back on the OPKing from next week.

Stark thanks for recommending the Amazon OPK tests, I was buying the £5 a box (for FIVE!!) in Boots ... I'd have been broke if I'd had to use them every day Smile

iPatches hope today is a better day for you Flowers

Ni4444 · 19/02/2016 09:06

Thank crunchie it's Friday!!! Who doesn't love a Friday?! Grin

Ladies you're not out til you're out! Fingers crossed AF stays away!

Jam I hear you...I'm thinking I don't want a December baby...but then January is so full of family Bdays...please let it work this month so we have a November baby I say!!

FW starts today....good timing as I find it so much easier to be interested in dtd at the weekend!!

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 19/02/2016 08:59

Keep optimistic jem, cramping doesn't mean af. And you've had lots of positive symptoms.

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 19/02/2016 08:56

Yay kat I thought it was only me that gets silly happy on Fridays!!! Grin

So looks like I'm out too, light brown spotting this morning which is typical of af being round the corner, even though I'm 11dpo. Really gutted tbh :( I've had no alcohol, had better diet with lots of veg and fruit (unusual for me!), limited caffeine, etc. Good job I ordered pre-seed last week anyway.

Sorry your out too jamFlowers.

SuchaJem · 19/02/2016 08:51

lillian it was really clear at the time
I put the cup straight down and left the rest. However it's hard to not worry I'm imagining things as its not happening all the time! Still a bit crampy after this morning which is freaking me out slightly and making me think AF :(

KatOnATinRo0f · 19/02/2016 08:38

Sorry AF got you jam ... I know how you are feeling. I also said I wasn't going to OPK for cycle 7 as it wasn't doing anything. But I can hardly pee without collecting a bit to dip. Haha. (I'm on day 12 now and have been dipping since day 7 oops)

KatOnATinRo0f · 19/02/2016 08:35

......

It's FRIIIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDAAAAYYYYYY!!!!

(This used to be so much more important when I was about 19-22... Now I'm like "yay!!! I don't have to set the alarm!!!")

But we're going away tomorrow for night and it miraculously coincides with the peak of ISW so feel like we're in with a chance.

Sorry for everyone feeling :(. Life is a circle ups and downs, rounds and rounds. Breathe in breathe out, repeat. That's all you need. And coffee until we're all preggo the decaf.

Jamjar12 · 19/02/2016 08:31

Third time wasn't the charm for me, AF is here this morning and pretty much ripping my insides apart. So much fun!

So one more cycle left before it's definitely a baby free Christmas. Kind of beating myself up about being so optimistic and getting ahead of myself. I knew these things take time but thought we had everything on our side. We're both under 30, healthy, OPKing, DTD on all the right days, both taking tablets, using preseed, neither drinking, both eating healthily... Not sure what else we should be doing to help it along! Feeling pretty useless and not in control of my body today which sucks. Might try to take a month off without OPKing and just not think about it, then if it happens, it happens but if not, I didn't obsess for nothing.

harrietm87 · 19/02/2016 08:23

pug are you Irish too? Noticed the use of the word boak ha!

Happy Friday everyone. I'm in TTC limbo arm. We haven't decided what we're going to do but past fw for this month anyway I think!

Feefeefs · 19/02/2016 08:18

I am so happy it's Friday. I know it's a cliche but it's been a crazy work week. Bizarrely it's been bothering me less than normal(maybe the meditation etc is starting to work) but exhausting.

Had 2 glasses of Winelast night and sore head this morning! So not fair! It was a really cheap one I think that's the problem Sad have kinda gone off alcohol at the mo tho in general which must be a good thing!!

Sorry to those who AF got.

Mooseville · 19/02/2016 08:04

Morning all! sucha and space it's all sounding positive for you! FX!

According to Ovia bitch I am entering my fertile week from today. No idea if this is correct post pill and OPK's aren't showing anything yet! This whole process is confusing! Lol
Still haven't managed to DTD yet - although we did have a casual chat about it last night. He just blames being tired, a shitty week at work and me being ill all week. (Which to be fair I wouldn't have wanted to get near all the snot too!) Has said we'll get our act together tonight so we will see...... I'm trying to act cool about it as I think if I start mentioning ovulation or anything this month it will freak him out more! Not sure we've ever gone this long without before - it's been about 3/4 weeks - and why is it corresponding with the month we decide TTC???!! Bloody men!!

LillianFullStop · 19/02/2016 07:46

Hi all checking in to new thread!
