Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 11. Welcome one and all!
We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

So excited- i just got my first proper positive opk! Had darkish ones before but this one is deffo darker than the control line. Cd17 which exactly in line with my average cycle of 32 days. (Not counting the last two 28 & 36 Angry hopefully i'm back on track now)

Ewcm to go with it too.

It's all true this fertility stuff isn't it. You clever lot. Grin

RaeSkywalker · 21/02/2016 11:54

That should be for the best!

RaeSkywalker · 21/02/2016 11:54

Thanks hep. That's probably fit the best, I am unbearably grumpy when I don't exercise (poor DH)

stardusty5 · 21/02/2016 11:41

hep i started opking the day my period ended and am doing them every day this cycle as i'd like to see my pattern for future reference. I'm only using internet cheapies tho so it's not as expensive as the electronic ones. Which do you have?

Cd 17 here and got ewcm- woohoo.

Didn't manage to dtd yesterday so wondering if should jump dh twice today to make up for it!

stardusty5 · 21/02/2016 11:35

rae i've read lots of things that say exercise is absolutely fine throughout pregnancy, with the exception of contact sports etc.

Hep154 · 21/02/2016 11:20

Rae i think the main advice for early pregnancy is that you can continue any exercise you were doing before. So i think you are fine to continue.

Hep154 · 21/02/2016 11:17

Seems my OPK has arrived in post already.

When do people start testing ? I am CD7, and I thought i would try testing on thursday (CD11)

based on EWCM, i believe i ovulate at any point between CD15 and 22

I am not sure i can test at the same time every day.

with regards to OH, I am trying to shelter him a little from all testing/charting, and just let him know closer to the time when is good for dtd. Nothing is sexier than a schedule !

He is also of the mind that it will happen if/when it happens. Actually, that is probably the "front" that i put out too. probably due to my age (36 1/2) i know many friends/family members who have struggled with fertility problems.

Kwick709 · 21/02/2016 11:05

I would love a love length.... Blush
Thanks once more... Feel very warm & fuzzy 💞
BTW I started laughing when I read love length and my nephew asked me what I was laughing at... Had to use powers of distraction!

So injected 3 times yesterday.... Definitely felt a bit like a pin cushion... Did not feel so great afterwards but now feel much better... It was very stressful as I had to make up the injecting solution.

Congratulations to all the bfps this week 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Sorry about the bfns 😢

SuchaJem · 21/02/2016 11:05

He doesn't sound callous at all love. Men just don't get it or possibly don't think it through in the same level of detail as us. I think they have no appreciation of what it's like to live in a cycle of fertility every month and to have all these changes happen in your body. Honestly if guys could just have a year of periods it would be so enlightening!

ElleSarcasmo · 21/02/2016 11:01

I've made him sound really callous reading that back. He really isn't! He is very sweet and supportive. He just thinks it will be easy I think.

Ever agree totally that a cautious man is not a bad thing. My DH would have been the same if we hadn't waited to TTC until most of our friends have kids already.

ElleSarcasmo · 21/02/2016 10:58

He wants a family but thinks it will happen when it happens and that stressing about it makes no difference. He actually said to me yesterday that he wants children too but that he could not be as bothered as me! Sad He didn't say it in an unkind way, he is just way too blunt and honest. He said I haven't made it clear enough to him that we need to dtd on certain days, to be fair, maybe I haven't?!

Pinklily1 · 21/02/2016 10:56

Pug, I can't see anything on the first pic but can on the second one.

RaeSkywalker · 21/02/2016 10:55

Hi all, just wondering what your thoughts on exercise were? I exercise quite heavily and wonder if I should be toning it down (in tww now). At the same time I don't want to change my lifestyle too much at this stage Confused

Evergreen15 · 21/02/2016 10:54

Pug I don't see it. Maybe others do? Was it a proper period? Red? Where are you on your cycle?
Jem dont lose hope. A cautious man is not a bad thing, and they will be amazing dads. It shows that they take it seriously. Hard on us. Hugs Thanks

SuchaJem · 21/02/2016 10:53

Thanks elle. How does your oh feel about ttc - is it just understanding how much you need to DTD?

Hep154 · 21/02/2016 10:51

jem
I have used the boots test, and i wouldn't trust it until the day AF is due.
you're not out yet. (i'll keep my fingers crossed for you!)

ElleSarcasmo · 21/02/2016 10:47

Meant to say fx for you Flowers

ElleSarcasmo · 21/02/2016 10:47

Sorry cross posted Jem. Sorry about bfn but you're still a couple of days before AF due right? (Thinking you're about the same as me and I'm due on tues) so the test won't be all that accurate yet, I think even the frers quote an accuracy of about 70% 2 days before AF due. So you're not out yet, and your symptoms do sound promising.

ElleSarcasmo · 21/02/2016 10:44

Lol at love length! Grin

Pug I can't see a line on my phone, can you get hold of a FRER and have a go tomorrow am? I never can see anything on my phone mind. Fx for you!

Ouch Zazzles, hope you've got a nice hot water bottle and some painkillers. Have some Chocolate Brew Cake too.

Lol at drier than a desert Peaches! Good effort this week too!

Hope you're wrong and you caught the egg Ni!

Hope your talk with DH goes ok Jem.

My spotting has cleared up. Tried to find Hugh to ask him what's going on but I can't understand a word he says! Got pissed off anyway yesterday as pretty sure I'm out so had some wine followed by some baileys. I tried to tell DH we need to dtd more during ISW but haven't yet extracted a promise from him to perform on demand.

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 21/02/2016 10:44

Thanks jem.
Sorry about bfn. Have you got any frers you can try? Is the boots test sensitive?

SuchaJem · 21/02/2016 10:32

I have no idea what's going on in my uterus. I'm still having really intense dreams, am much thirstier than usual, got aching lower back and hips. But have also got tummy cramps and sore boobs. So I've got I idea if AF is coming or what.

Did a boots test this am and got bfn :( AF is due Tuesday so I guess I will know one way or another soon.

SuchaJem · 21/02/2016 10:29

Lovelength! 😂 perhaps we can christen it LL henceforth

zazz hugs and chocolate for you mate 🍫

ever thanks for your thoughts, cautious is the word. He got back from work at 5 this am so am letting him sleep but think will try and have a good talk with him later today.

pug I can't see anything either but that could be the picture. Agreed with miley re trying a FRER. How confusing this cycle has been, hope you get to the bottom of this soon.

ni if you think you ov Friday and started isw Saturday that sounds good to me?

peaches drier than a desert! Bless your oh

Peaches8Posies · 21/02/2016 10:25

pug I'm rubbish at squinty lines, but if you think you see something and feel it wasn't your proper period I'd definitely go for a proper pee stick/FRER. you'll get a clear answer for sure.
