Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 11. Welcome one and all!
We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

Starky funny you say that, it was a little boy with Aspergers that I met through work that made me realise! He is in quite a techy field and the traits are definitely common among his colleagues. I read an interesting book (Neurotribes) about the history of autism, through its recognition in the first part of the 20th century, to where we are today. Recommend it if you're interested!

Sorry about BFN Confused. Flowers

Kwick709 · 22/02/2016 08:18

Sorry to hear that confused... Maybe a tad early to test?

Thanks ipatches

Confusedcat1 · 22/02/2016 07:27

I won't get a starkys star, but had a bfn at 10dpo today.

Lyssie · 22/02/2016 03:56

Update on me: super nauseous this evening, and I'm suddenly grossed out by dh's wet kisses, because I think he tastes weird!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 22/02/2016 00:12

No probs lyssie if you want a giggle, venture back to the original threads! Those are a hoot and a half!

Dh has gone to work without his bodycam which is a worry. Can't wait till tomorrow when he's off...but by this time tomorrow I'll be ready to strangle him Grin

Starky and *Ni,
*
Thank you, lovely ladies. It feels so wonderful to feel like I'm not alone with my whacky feelings :)
And your stories make me laugh which helps lift my stubborn mood.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 21/02/2016 23:01

lyssie you're not alone. I once cried be a use Dh cut the vegetables up wrong and I wanted to do it. And then a different time I was beside myself because I woke up in the night, looked at Dh and bawled my eyes out because I just loved him so much! And I cried last month because an old man was buying pick and mix. Grin

ipatches I had definite positives on opk's for two /two and a half days last cycle.

jem I know what you mean, I was certain I'd be able to surprise my dsis on her birthday by telling her I was pregnant. And then it was her best mate who told her she was 12 weeks and I was secretly gutted. It's really easy to convince ourselves we're pregnant, it's the hope that does it! We've just got to keep on going and look forward to the next go.

elle my dad is definitely aspergers. Undiagnosed, but definetly on the spectrum. It was only when I was working with autistic kids that I realised and told my dm. Since we realised it's been so much easier to communicate with him effectively!

Lyssie you're not alone! I googled "why am I so emotional" this morning! Wanted to see if there were any other reasons than just hormones!! I have been like a roller-coaster the last 3weeks. This morning I was in a great mood, then OH walked away when I asked for a kiss and I teared up!! Convinced myself he didn't want a kiss, dtd, baby, me!! I am not usually insecure like this but I am an emotional wreck recently! Need to remember it's the hormones, not us! Love to you 💕

Ni4444 · 21/02/2016 22:41

Yay managed to dtd!! other half doesn't like every dtd but I convinced him!!...dont think I'll succeed tomorrow though😔 Didn't get a chance to use pre-seed...so said id used it straight after!! The swimmers are probably long gone up the valley but figured it couldn't do any harm!!

Ipatches I had two days of positive last month...think it's very normal. Get dtd-ing!!😉

Lyssie · 21/02/2016 22:39

In need of some advice:
I guess I had forgotten how bad my mood swings were before birth control. For example: Today my darling husband didn't eat the pizza I reheated in the microwave for him within ten minutes, and I started bawling my eyes out...
Obviously because he would be disappointed it was cold later :P geez... I'm an awful sort to be around. I've been grouchy for 4 days.

Anyone know any good ways to stop being a psychopath?

iPatches · 21/02/2016 22:00

Pyxie - thanks for the advice. Definitely positive OPK yesterday and today which is around 30 hours between them. Will recruit DH for another try in the morning just to be share Blush

kwick good luck!!

Kwick709 · 21/02/2016 21:33

Thanks Elle

ElleSarcasmo · 21/02/2016 21:23

ElleSarcasmo · 21/02/2016 21:22

Miley 4 dpo too?! Every day's a school day on here!

Pugmummy don't feel stupid! It's bloody confusing this! I have been confused at so many points so far and I'm sure I will be again. Fx for you. Flowers

Jem Flowers and fx for you.

Choco hope you're feeling ok and that your OH is looking after you Flowers

May07 · 21/02/2016 21:19

Good luck Kwick!! Really interesting to understand!

Good luck to everyone with symptoms, fingers crossed for more BFP's.

Bit fed up, on 7th day of high on CB tests with no peak and absolutely no line on Amazon OPKs. I know it's 1st month off pill but after wanting to try (and watching all the BFPs on this thread for so long) just want things to start working!! Started DTD every other day from first high reading but can tell it's getting a bit much for husband. Didn't think about how much pressure it would be! Sure I will chill a bit after this first cycle just been building up to it for so long and now feels like a flop Sad

Kwick709 · 21/02/2016 21:05

Confused I think I could see a picture of donor from when he was a child but I did not do that... not sure how to explain but it is enough for me to know the general lines - ie hair colour (brown), eye colour (brown) and heritage (French, Italian, Puerto Rican).

LH surge can definitely last a while - see this interesting article: humrep.oxfordjournals.org/content/20/9/2542.full.pdf

Mileymoocow · 21/02/2016 21:00

Oh my holy shit kwick you're really being put through the mill! I hope beyond all hope it's as quick a process as it can be for you Flowers

SuchaJem · 21/02/2016 20:53

pug don't feel stupid it's all so confusing when symptoms for AF and PG are so bloody similar! I've been convinced this month I'm up the duff, planning how we will tell our parents, what we would do at Christmas. Ridiculous!
Now I've had bfn twice and think I've actually had AF signs I've been ignoring. But still haven't got a clue what's happening!

Pyxie · 21/02/2016 20:20

iPatches my last 2 cycles I've had positive opks for two days, the 2 cycles before it was only for 1 day. I guess sometimes the LH surge lasts a bit longer?

Confusedcat1 · 21/02/2016 20:19

kwick it's so exciting, I'm crossing everything for you! Do you get to see what your magic potion donor looks like?

iPatches · 21/02/2016 19:57

OK so I had a positive OPK yesterday...I took 2 in fact, one at around 2pm and then again at around 5pm.

I was busy this morning so didn't take one, just took one at about 7pm and got another positive? Is this normal? Last cycle, where we did get a BFP, I only had a positive on ONE day.

Hep154 · 21/02/2016 19:55

pug don't stress about being confused. The symptoms of early pg are similar to AF (or so i read). I was thoroughly confused last month too. Please don't feel stupid.

take a deep breath, and a nice cup of tea, and take a frer tomorrow.

Feefeefs · 21/02/2016 19:51

That's really interesting kwick. I'm so impressed. That baby will be so loved and wanted and I really hope the TWOT are successful.

Chocaholic88 · 21/02/2016 19:47

Thank you kwick

Wow your process sounds so technical! I have EVERYTHING crossed that your TWOT pays off xx
