We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

stark how woukd he feel about doing something like prison service work or G4S at the courts? I used to be a prison officer and although it's a bit rubbish at the moment with all the government cuts etc... Can be a great career, as in could move to be a dog handler or trainer in control and restraint or a gym instructor for prisoners or something once he's in?? Think wages can be rubbish to start off these days, but there's usually loads of opportunity for overtime which pays well?
Although still a little bit risky it's definitely safer than door work?

stark god that must be infuriating that it held back both of your lives in this way. I don't blame him for wanting out - I hope he finds the self-belief to try something new. Becoming a daddy might give him a nice push in this direction too.

jem he's done the private stuff, it's ok money but it gets on his nerves. The ones you're looking after are usually fine, it's the entourage that get in the way and cause problems! he's threatened to chin a couple of famous boyfriends before now

The ear was grim. We'd tentatively decided to ttc last July/August but then when his ear was ripped off they told us to wait because he had to have all the jabs for hepatitis and anti retroviral drugs. And that took 3 months. And then he was freaked out so I had to start all over again convincing him it was a good idea. It's healed well but he wants put now. 18 years on the door and he's sick of it. The world has changed so much in the past 5 years, it's not safe anymore.

I caved and took an EPT this morning. I think I had a faint line...One day early. why couldn't I wait?! Will test again tomorrow and have a picture for you all to help me determine for certain!
Reason being is I had a dream I got a BFP, and when I woke up my husband burped, and he was across the room from me, and I said, "That smells like blueberries"(of all things)...
Apparently he had a blueberry muffin yesterday morning, unbeknownst to me...and I'm nauseous!
I also watched the Cider House Rules last night and bawled my eyes out in the first 10 minutes, and I never cry during movies...

We will see ladies!!!

moose lol at sweary bfp :) and hurrah at DTD! Sounds like you got it in there at a really good time. Fx for you and the spermoids through the hunger game trials.

starky oh my god his ear. I can't even imagine how painful that must have been, poor guy. Has he ever done private security work? My sister used to date someone who worked for George Michael. Can be lucrative work but I think often involves travelling.

Working from home today. Just in that place where I kind of want AF to come so I know where I stand and can move on mentally to the next cycle. My next fertile patch coincides with a little trip to Cape Town with DH, so would be prime DTD time!

Equally I would clearly be the happiest girl alive if AF stays away for the next 9 months...

moose my Dh was the same. He's still genuinely surprised that even after 2 cycles, I'm not pregnant. As he put it "well I've shot enough up there, you'd think one would stick!" He honestly thought that just having unprotected sex would result in an immediate bfp. What doesn't help is his ds was conceived whilst his ex was on the pill supposably AND they were using condoms.

jem honestly, for the most part it's not a problem, he goes to work, does the shift and comes home. But it can be bloody awful. He had his ear bitten off last year, and then he broke his thumb that one wasn't so bad, his hands have been broken multiple times through boxing and he had 4 car loads of men turn up a couple of weeks ago kicking off when he was on his own. He's looking for something else but he's got no confidence about his own skills other than bouncing. It frightens me now, especially where we live, it's an unpredictable large city to work in with an abundance of nut jobs!

hep I've got traits of it, but Im sure im not on the spectrum, I just get very locked on to things! I have anxiety disorder which culminates in ocd when I'm struggling. I have to absolutely force myself to socialise, which is odd given that my job for years was very sociable nightclubs but I was always able to separate my rl from work! I'm very routine based.

I just read the Mum's net glossary - in my head I've been thinking BFP as "bloody f#%*ing positive. Not BIG FAT POSITIVE.
Errrr says a lot about my vocabulary.... Lol

Congrats on the BFP's girls!!! This thread seems very lucky!!!!

fx sorry for all your bad news. I'm with you - Things like this really make you put all your little moans and problems into perspective, we should all be so grateful to be healthy and happy and everything else is a bonus.

We finally managed to DTD! A bottle of red wine and a hotel room was obviously what was needed! And it was on peak OPK day and day two of EWCM so if we were only to do it once during ISW then I guess it was the right day! At least it's got the ball rolling. He instantly said afterwards "so a baby in November." So he obviously has been thinking he'll knock me up after one attempt! I honestly don't think men have any idea at all about the process! I compared if he'd managed to knock me up after that one time it would be similar to us winning the lottery! Ha ha

feefs it can take up to 6 months for your system to return to normal after coming off the pill. so it is hard to know. Also, i found it a shock to realise that after 5-6 years on the pill i had forgotten how AF was! Almost like being a teenager again ! (shudder at that thought).

fx yes indeed - i think thats why it called a spectrum!

Hi guys, thanks to all for your thoughts, I am fine - of course none of it is 'my' grief, but it did feel like a lot to take on, especially when I've been so focused on making a baby, I had forgotten about the millions of people suffering every day and now feel a bit overwhelmed by the seflishness.

Not at all feefs I am also interested, which I why I brought it up. How can it be measured though?! You can't exactly say 'about a teaspoon' or '6 fl oz' unfortunately!!

Interesting chat about the spectrum here, I am sometimes told I am on the spectrum for a number of reasons, and then I'm told that everyone is on the spectrum to some degree (!) another classic example of my GP being a twat!

starky elle I score very high on the Autism-Spectrum Quotient test (35). I often compare notes with a colleague who also scored 35, and went on to get a formal diagnosis. Though the manifestation is somewhat different in females. My mum and siblings have aspects too, which we only recently realised. My OH and in-laws refer to it as the [surname]-factor! OH gets frustrated with me sometimes, but he is very good generally about it.

I work in a male-dominated-mathy-techy area.

one of my fears about motherhood (if i am lucky) is the socialisation aspect. dealing with groups of people and strangers is "uncomfortable" for me.

For now, it seems so far off that i can put it to one side and deal with it if/when i get there.

jem bodycam is a video camera he wears on a harness. It sits flush to his chest and its on standby until he presses record/picture with a little remote control. It's a way of capturing assaults/incidents much more easily. And it puts people off if they know they're on camera, they're less likely to kick off.

Don't think anyone said fx still wondering here! Still ongoing. I think more than normal amount for me but month 4 off the pill I always just wonder if normal and hormones regulating. Cramps today cycle say 24. Not Normal for me

Feefs asked an interesting question a few pages back about how much CM is excessive. I suppose its an individual basis, but did anyone have a response?

Thanks all, I actually prefer to test early. I find it prepares me emotionally for when af arrives and it's not so much of a disappointment :)
