Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 11. Welcome one and all!
We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

Hi everyone, I've been following this thread for a while and hope I can join in the chat! I hope you're all doing well and congratulations on the bfp's!

I'm 9dpo today and trying desperately not to Symptom spot! It's so hard but I feel less crazy reading that you are all doing that too. I've been off my pill since November and this is our first month of TTC. I could swear my nipples are sore but at this point, I can't remember if that's normal for me now or whether it's entirely in my head! Lol

rach we're on a new thread, it's linked just above. Come over there and introduce yourself, you're more than welcome! ☺

Hi can I join in, I'm look for some support & tips from people in the same boat as me.
I'm 26yrs
TTC #2
Cycle:1
Day:1
I came of my pill (yasmin) on 1st March 2016 after been on it for 5&half years. I started my withdrawal bleed today... I just can't wait for it to be over & be able to start tracking my cycle. I'm a very impatient person so just want to be pregnant now!

Does any one else feel the same, I know I'm not pregnant but already thinking of names & looking at prams ect.

Looking for people to chat to as me and my partner agreed to keep the fact where trying a secret from everyone to keep it surprise.

Btw- it took me 5months to fall pregnant with my daughter.( hoping to take less this time round)

Kwick709 · 27/02/2016 18:45

Was Mumsnet down earlier? I could not get on...

MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS. bellini!!!!!

I got needles & syringes sorted - I rang NHS 111, spoke to the out of hours Dr who did a bit of research and rang me back & told me of a local pharmacy I could go to. They did not have the yellow needles, so have larger (aka more painful) blue ones.... I also ordered from Amazon and will mention to CRGH at my scan on monday.

vixarooni · 27/02/2016 17:43

Peaches (dunno how to bold!) My auntie had none, my mum just managed two and my nan only two. My dad's parents just one! My OH's dad just has to look at them too. I'm only on cycle two and I've told everyone we are waiting till after our wedding next year to start trying. Just so there's no external pressure, I give myself enough! Good luck with your journey!

elle yeah it's a funny old job, we've been together 10 years so I'm pretty used to it. He flies long haul now and is usually away once a week for a couple of nights.

Sorry for those who AF got xx

ElleSarcasmo · 27/02/2016 10:31

The thing about the Christmas birthday is that babies don't always come on time, so you might end up trying for a January baby but they arrive at 36 weeks so at Christmas anyway. Though it must be annoying to have a Christmas birthday I guess.

ElleSarcasmo · 27/02/2016 10:29

I do hope Spring brings BFPs Evergreen. Flowers I am trying to be positive but it is hard sometimes. Never had burning boobs before, sounds ouch!

Mooseville · 27/02/2016 10:07

I agree that Christmas birthdays are generally a bit rubbish but there's no way I'm stopping to trying to prevent it. It would feel like a wasted chance!
6dpo now and even though we had only DTD once I'm still bloody symptom spotting.... This morning "ooh I feel a bit queasy" errrr that's nothing to do with pregnancy and all to do with the bottle and a half of wine you polished off last night! Blush

Evergreen15 · 27/02/2016 09:50

Elle I am 35 soon and by then we would have been properly trying for 6 cycles so I will get things checked then!

I am expecting AF but my bobs are burning. This is new to me. A new PMS symptom? Joy!

I am fed up of winter, maybe spring will bring BFP

RaeSkywalker · 27/02/2016 09:36

Yay Bellini!

ElleSarcasmo · 27/02/2016 09:36

Ctul nice to see you, sorry the blood test was unconvincing. Hopefully the referral will come through Flowers

Welcome Cailler!

Miley love the sound of your rapping neighbour Grin social hours only of course!

I am 35 next birthday (I laughed at tick tock Ni, so true) and if no BFP by then (will have been trying nearly 6 months) will definitely be going down to the GP to ask for investigations. I was actually thinking of making the appt the week after my births as I am feeling so negative about it. The pre TTC me would have laughed at the idea of reading the mindfuck positive thinking book!

Kwick hope you sorted out your needle crisis!

Jem your DH is a pilot? That is so cool! Is he away loads?

Whereabouts are you Lyssie? We haven't had a single flake this year!

Totally agree Evergreen gimme baby! Any birthday will do. Sorry to hear about your friend's little girl Sad can't imagine what they're going through.

NYE birthday party is a great idea Pugmummy-will it be a big birthday for you?

Sorry about BFN Evergreen. Sad

Congratulations Bellini! Fingers crossed all goes well this time Flowers.

ElleSarcasmo · 27/02/2016 09:13

Ni I am trying to drink more hot drinks as well. My friend has recommended a reflexologist who she thinks helped her get pg quickly first time so I'm thinking of giving that a try-apparently it is like having a nice foot massage. I had kind of imagined someone prodding your foot hard before! Not nice (in my head anyway)! Love the Hostess with the mostess comment! Grin

Moggy murmuration must have been amazing. I saw one when the sun was just starting to set once and the sky was all pink, it was just beautiful. How do they know what to do?

Penis longis Evergreen Grin no wonder your OH was smiling!

Jem I am not sure whether to buy the book either. On the one hand, I don't buy that your mind is really in control of whether you conceive (agree Evergreen, we'd all be preggo by now otherwise!). Plus I am pretty cynical about that stuff at the best of times. But on the other hand I am just getting desperate for something to work Sad and starting to worry that something's wrong.

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 27/02/2016 09:11

ever I'm very grumpy this cycle. If I hear of one more person getting upduffed on accident I may actually burst in a fit of rage and jealousy EnvyAngry

Some of you were saying that you're going to the doctors if it hasn't worked soon. I feel the same way, if it hasn't worked this cycle I'm going to add on a month or two and say I've been ttc for 6 months (to be honest it's probably true but it wouldn't have been consecutively). I have added issues like PCOS so I want to be as proactive as I can.

kwick have you gone private for ivf? (You don't have to answer!). I fear I'll have to start saving for it soon. Unless they've come down in price to less than £2k - unlikely!

Peaches8Posies · 27/02/2016 09:10

Morning ladies. Missed a few days hope everyone is well and if the witch has reared her ugly mug there's plenty of alcohol and delicious treats to get over the hurt.

Decided to get a little work done around the house which has gone from it'll take 3/4 days to over 2 weeks of mayhem and me spending Wednesday Thursday in tears with anxiety levels through the roof andme physically ill as a result! So doing some stuff to take our minds off ttc did not go well! Old houses do not like to be over hauled. I'm now banned from any mention of anything house related by OH!

Anyways..... I'm a Christmas baby. Yes it was a little annoying growing up but all my friends also had gripes with when their birthday was. starky I always get money for Christmas/birthdays and have a dedicated day post Christmas were I do a lovely lunch and go mad in the sales. So not all bad. My friend was born right before the start of school returning after summer and hated that because she could never have a party with her school friends. My other friend is July and hates it for same reason feels everyone is usually just going or returning from holiday so not able to do much with her. So trying not to overthink the dates. But every one has their preference and I think taking a little break is great way to recharge the old batteries (just don't rip your house apart 😠)

vixarooni I'm in same boat as you? My side are not good at this. Lots of small families as a result. OH side breed like rabbits, literally sneeze and they are pregnant!! They even manage to fall pregnant whilst using get contraception! It's great when they like to ask me what's wrong with as I'm obviously a dried up old prune in their eyes...... people can be rude and hurtful.
