Oh my god! Congratulations lulu!!! And good timing with the holidays! What was her name?

LuluJakey1 · 12/04/2017 22:53

Well DD had a bad night last night but has been asleep for two hours now - longest yet. As DH put her in her pram at 8 this morning to push her round the park and see if he could get her to sleep (she had been awake since 1am apart from a brief nap) he said to me wearily 'This was your idea'. Hmm
The same man who was saying airily on Sunday 'We should have at least 3 Lu.' He is finding a vasectomy more appealing after last night.
But she is very sweet when she isn't crying. Smile

Cupcake92 · 12/04/2017 09:07

Aww congrats lulu!!! :) glad to hear she's here!
Oh ds3 is still constantly feeding we aren't past that stage yet Grin I think it's cuz I'm breastfeeding tho.
Hope u are all doing well :)

Sunny I want a jet wash Grin
Jet wash the children clean Grin I'm joking ! But wouldn't that make bath time easier Smile

I'm still exhausted with 3 children lol its Easter holidays now n ds1 is off preschool for 2 weeks. It's only day 3 and I can't wait till he's back he's been so naughty so far.

My dh has been obsessed with the jet wash today, showing the boys the wonders it can perform and they have been very impressed by the power and how great a job daddy has done .

sunny825 · 11/04/2017 19:14

Yes you forget how much they feed In the first few weeks. It's non stop. You also forget how tiny they are compared to your older children. I found it really weird the first couple of days getting used to handling a newborn again.
When i brought ds2 home ds1 was not bothered at all. Did the same, took a look at him and then carried on playing. Funny that your DS was looking for the box. My two were alot older when ds3 was born and were obsessed with how ds3 was going to get out. Having a newborn is just so lovely though and just the wonderful times and togetherness they bring.
I bet it just makes you feel so complete.
Not sure what to advise about the wind! Dh will probably be happy when that phase passes😀

LuluJakey1 · 11/04/2017 18:29

I started about 6 in the mornng and stayed at home until about 1. By the time we got to the hospital I was 8 cms. Waters broke at the hospital. Last time they broke at the start, this time it was really late. She arrived pretty quickly after that.
I had forgotten how tiring newborn babies are. Today we have fed her, fed her, fed her, fed her. She snoozes between feeds but soon wakes up.
DS looked at her and was a bit non-plussed. After a bit of stroking her head and giving her a kiss, he said 'Where da box?' He likes a big cardboard box and we think he thought she had come in a box.
DH is already besotted. He has been telling her about football as he fed her this afternoon. We took her for a walk in the park and DS fed the ducks. He wasn't very impressed that we didn't take his buggy.
I slept for two hours this afternoon. I seem to have quite bad wind for some reason Blush

sunny825 · 11/04/2017 12:47

Congratulations Lulu and to your dh, that's lovely news. Wow you were saying you were having pains at 1030ish and she was here 4 hours later. That's great. How fast did she arrive after your waters broke? Bet your dh is made up. Lovely news and glad you're all well. How was DS when he saw her for the first time?

LuluJakey1 · 10/04/2017 21:38

We are home. She arrived at 2.38pm and weighed in at 7lb 6oz. She has very dark hair and I think she is perfect- although every photo we have taken she looks grumpy on it. It was ok. Gas and air. No stitches or tears. I am so tired though. Have had a bath and am in bed. DH is feeding her. TT Perfect Prep back in action. DS is fast asleep at SILs and we will get him first thing. He doesn't know yet. He thinks we have gone to fetch her and has helped SIL make some cakes for her.
I did get a bit odd on the gas and air- I get a bit sweary and say strange things. Apparently I told the midwife DH is having a vasectomy and if he doesn't go to the Dr to see about it, I will do it myself with the bacon scissors Blush

LuluJakey1 · 10/04/2017 10:33

I have been having pains now since about 6 this morning. Pretty regular. Not too bad. DH has taken DS out for a walk and I am just relaxing with my ipad. Rang the hospital who told me to take 2 paracetemol and stay at home. I hope this is it. Am so fed up.

sunny825 · 07/04/2017 12:36

Good that you're going for the smear my emoticon was really for my double smear lol

sunny825 · 07/04/2017 12:35

Gosh once they start school time really does begin to go fast. My kids love school so I'm sure he will be fine. Hope the wound heals quickly. 😥on the smear test, i had mine recently and then they had to do it again because there weren't enough cells taken!! I've just had an injection to numb my mouth from the dentist and it's taking ages to go back to normal.

Cupcake92 · 06/04/2017 22:11

I'm moving about fine and it doesn't hurt but it's just not healing.
And oh my god... I've got to have my 1st smear test tomorrow Shock scared!!!!!
And I know :( can not believe he's growing up so fast!!

duckyisback · 05/04/2017 15:17

That sounds bad about the wound cupcake! I didn't even know that could happen!? Are you moving about ok?

Shock that ds1 is starting school already! That's crazy!

Cupcake92 · 05/04/2017 12:08

Sunny some men are just immature that's why. Can't handle responsibilities.

Ducky, I'll have a word with my health visitor then cuz it's getting so cramped here.

Oh gosh ducky :( but in a way that's good as they will make sure stbxh doesn't hurt u or the kids, mentally or physically. He's such an ass ducky.

Been to the nurse today and have to go back tomorrow to have my wound properly packed as it's got worse. I'm so worried. She said my skins breaking down. Just hope it stops and starts to heal :(

Ds1 had an Easter bonnet parade this morning :) we sat and decorated his hat yesterday :) he looked adorable bless him! I find out what school he gets into on the 19th! Then we have to go and view the school, he's growing up way too fast!! :(

Cupcake speak to your health visitor about housing. Mine seems to be quite good with that stuff.

So I went to meet stbxh. The place was empty apart from one member of staff who wasn't in sight and an old couple sat at a table the other side of the room. He immediately became aggressive. He was shouting at me about calling the police and saying he's not selling the house until he knows he will have enough to buy somewhere else. I kept saying to him that if he carries on I will leave and he kept being horrible so I put dd in her car seat, and went to get ds coat on. Ds started saying 'want to see daddy' so stbxh turned around and said 'I want to see you too but she won't let me' so I told him to go and see his son instead of sitting shouting at me.

BecUse i called the police on him, the health visitors in this area were notified ( mine is in another area) and this new one came out to see me and was lovely. She talked through everything that had happened and was really supportive. She said she thought I could do with a support worker. She gave me the number to call.

I called them and gave them the whole history, they said they think I'm very high risk and because of that they're reading my case out first thing tomorrow in a meeting with loads of organisations including social services and the police Sad its shook me up a bit. They said they wanted to get a safe guarding thing in place so I can stop all contact with stbxh. They have arranged a support worker who should be contacting me before the end of the week. Scary stuff Sad

sunny825 · 04/04/2017 12:35

Why is it that men are quite happy to have children but as soon as some of them split with their partners they suddenly feel they don't have to do anything unless asked. Why not take on half the parenting especially if you are not well. It's hard enough dealing with a newborn as it is let alone being unwell and coping. I hope you heal soon. Not sure about the house and what council do. Maybe speak to someone at a citizens advice bureau and see what help is available.

Cupcake92 · 04/04/2017 08:05

Ducky the new man sounds lovely really hope things go well for u :)
And how did it go with stbxh?

Sunny a half hour labour is crazy!! My mom had my brother an hour after her waters broke and that was a panic as she was sat at the dinner table eating dinner Grin

Lulu could be soon then! U must let us know if u go into labour :)

It's so busy with 3 kids! Plus my scar has split open and I'm having to have it packed and dressed by a nurse every 2 days :( been told it will take weeks to properly heal :(
Still, stbxh won't help out more with the kids, social life's too important Hmm

I'm going try and find out if I'll get any help with finding a house. Do the council do that? It's so cramped now in this house and I really need to move. But I'm on maternity allowance so I dunno if they'll let me private rent?

sunny825 · 03/04/2017 20:07

Oh gosh. How did it go? Hope he was kind to you and decent to the children.

duckyisback · 31/03/2017 21:53

Spoke to soon! Have to go see him tomorrow Sad

LuluJakey1 · 31/03/2017 20:38

Perhaps he thinks he is not allowed to contact you after the letter.

duckyisback · 31/03/2017 08:23

Hopefully it won't be far off then lulu! Would be good if it happened in the holidays then dh could have his paternity too! He works with young adults that have all different learning difficulties. He is very sweet.

9lbs sunny! That's big! How tall are you?

I'm a bit worried at the moment, before you get a non molestation order a warning has to be sent. My solicitor sent stbxh a warning letter the other day saying his constant messages and threats have to stop and if not I'll get an injunction and he'll have to pay. But he hasn't contacted me about seeing the kids. It's been over 2 weeks. I'm worried he'll get drunk this weekend and show up at my house or something. Or maybe he just read the warning that he's not allowed to contact me at all Confused I don't know but I find his silence scary. And how can someone have so little interest in their children? He hast ever asked how they are.

sunny825 · 31/03/2017 00:32

Mine weren't any more painful. Think they say it's just because your body knows what it's doing the next time and therefore everything happens alot faster. My ds1 went on for ages and that was very painful and he was 6lbs. Ds3 was a 9 pounder and I'm only tiny so you can imagine the shock!

LuluJakey1 · 30/03/2017 21:57

Oh I hope it doesn't happen that quickly, I have heard that is more painful than a longer early stages. I suppose it will be what it will be. I had back ache and tightenings today but it wore off.

DH is at work until next weekend then his Easter holidays start. I am hoping to hang on until then.

New man sounds nice Ducky. Hope it keeps going well. What does he do as a job? And he cooks! Yaay! Always a good thing.

duckyisback · 30/03/2017 20:44

Half an hour sunny! Shock I found that because it was so quick it was too much to cope with, i don't know how to explain it properly. I couldn't imagine how it would feel being half an hour!
