I recon ds would have slept through if it wasn't for his monitor!!! It has a sensor on it and it kept going off because he was using his pillow. Am off today to buy a new monitor I think. Going to get a video one I recon.

Is that a crib that just attaches to the bed cupcake? How does it stick on? Iyswim? I've seen pictures of one that goes next to the bed that you can rent for a one off payment for as long as you like and didn't know whether to try that next time... That's if everything goes ok.

All my symptoms have completely gone now. Don't feel pregnant at all and its worrying.

Ds fell over on concrete yesterday. He was running ahead of me and tripped, he's hot a big bruise on his head and cheek, a cut on his nose and a black eye Sad poor guy.

Cupcake92 · 12/04/2016 21:57

Ducky yes ds2 is still in my room :) I've still got him in the next to me crib right by me. Tho tomorrow I'm going to put the side of his crib up so he gets used to sleeping on his own :( he'll be in his cot in ds1's room next month!' :( :( I rele don't want him to! I just want him to stay a little baby Grin

Oo let us know how he sleeps tonight ducky! I'm hoping my ds sleeps through but I doubt it!

Hope dh has calmed down lulu! Is he still stressed about work load?

Cupcake that is wicked! Go ds!! Is ds2 in your room too?

My ds has been awful at sleeping recently, trying a new tactic tonight! I've only let him have one short nap today even though he was exhausted. We shall see how it goes!

Cupcake92 · 12/04/2016 09:15

Glad u and ds had a good day lulu :)
I hope ur dh's headache went in the end! Grin

Ds refused to wear his pull-ups last night so went to bed with only his pj bottoms on!! I was panicking all night thinking he was gonna wake up because he'd wet himself. But he didn't!! :) he had a completely dry night :) very impressed with him.
Tho he woke up at 2:30am and came in my bed! So thank god he stayed dry Grin

Well DS and I have had a nice day together today- been shopping, to soft play, he had a snooze and I tidied up. House clean, tea made.
DH came home in a right grump - had had a tiring day and had a headache. Would like some 'quiet'. Honestly! So DS is expected to be quiet? I don't think so. I told DH to take some paracetemol and go for a walk. He is in the huff big deal

Cupcake92 · 10/04/2016 08:21

Lulu ds has the electric shavers used on him because his hair is so thick. He sits there laughing when he has it done saying it tickles Grin

Oh no ducky poor ds :( hope he's okay this morning?
Ds2 is a bit like then when I give him First milk. He's on anti reflux milk and is fine on it but if I ever give him First milk then he's sick and his nappies are absolutely awful and explosive Confused
Awww ur poor ds aye :(

LuluJakey1 · 08/04/2016 23:10

Sierra Nevada beer- small bottles because DH can't cope otherwise Grin

Poor DS. That sounds awful - really uncomfortable.

duckyisback · 08/04/2016 22:29

What you drinking lulu? I'm in bed now, I'm so rock and roll Grin

He was having the runs really bad that in the end he was screaming the place down when I was trying to clean him as he was so sore. I read somewhere about reaction poos being more acidic and making the skin sore, don't know how true that is but his bum was very sore, then he has stomach ache so bad he didn't know what to do with himself he was just crying inconsolably and rubbing his tummy, calpol wouldn't touch it. And he got the sweats, which is a new one. That's the reason I called them as he hasn't had that before.

LuluJakey1 · 08/04/2016 22:22

Poor DspS Ducky. What happens when he has a bad reaction? Do you know what it was too this time?

DS is asleep now in his room. We are having a drink and DH is wating for Graham Norton to start. Life is so exciting. I remember when we used to go out every Friday night.

duckyisback · 08/04/2016 22:13

Hahah I have a picture in my head of him now lulu in a proper barbers getting a shave! Ds went to the hairdressers for the first time last week for a trim, my mom had done it before but it was getting a bit out of control. he sat ever so well.

Hope there's sleep for you soon!

We've had a bad night, ds has had a bad reaction. Had been on the phone to 111 for ages. Poor little guy was so upset. They booked an appt at hospital for me but he fell asleep as they did it Blush so it's been cancelled and just need to take him in if he gets worse. Feel so sorry for him.

LuluJakey1 · 08/04/2016 20:16

Cupcake, Ds does have his haircut, little trims by my hairdresser. She is a friend and comes round and does it. None of these buzzing machines shaving his neck like in DH's place he goes. He has baby soft hair and little flicks of curls. He doesn't need machines on it.

He is still up too, sitting with DH on the sofa with his milk and a piece of bread and butter.

Cupcake92 · 08/04/2016 19:43

Don't worry ducky I'm sure all is fine :)
And oh gosh I hope u make both hospital appointment!

Lulu my ds1 started having hair cuts at 6 months old Grin he had far too much hair!

My dc's both are still awake! No one wants to sleep Grin

LuluJakey1 · 08/04/2016 16:35

Sorry, DH likes a barber's shave, not DS Grin DS would be terrified by a barber's shave. I dread to think what havoc he would cause.

LuluJakey1 · 08/04/2016 16:34

I think you'll be fine Ducky. It all sounds very normal - mind you what would I know, I didn't realise until I was about 8 weeks.

DH has taken DS to the barbers with him. I told him not to but he said DS should get used to things like that. FFS, he is 15 months old, it's not like he is going to be going for hair cuts and shaves anytime soon- DS likes a barber's shave occasionally with hot towels and proper stuff.

Anyway, as predicated DS didn't like it and made a fuss and I got a phone call saying would I come and get him because it was havoc. By the time I got there he was standing on DH's knee in the barber's chair combing the front of his hair and nearly putting DH' s eye out with the comb. He didn't want to come home and there was lots of shrieking and wriggling.

Why don't men listen?

DH has come home with his beard shaved off completely and a very short cut . He has really thick hair and it looks very grey - and sexy actually Smile . He had his glasses on and DS looked at him really suspiciously. I don't think he recognised him until he spoke to him.

duckyisback · 07/04/2016 22:04

Yep my scan is a week on Friday. I've had very bad nausea, that seems to start around 6pm up to about 9pm most nights as well as quite badly in the mornings and a bit in the afternoons but today I only felt a little bit sick in the morning. I'm reading far too much into everything. What will be will be.

Problem is I'm a carer for my gd, he doesn't know I'm pg and he has an App at the same hospital an hour and a half after me. So I got to hope I can get seen, rush back to pick him up then go back to the hospital with him!

Cupcake92 · 07/04/2016 21:33

Haha lulu! That's funny! I'm glad u got the chance to say it! Grin
Also don't let our bad nights put u off another baby! Learning from my mistakes from ds1 I got a good sleeper 2nd time round. I honestly think only letting him have milk every 3 hours from the day he was born helped him. He wasn't allowed any before or after 3 hours as he had to have his blood sugars tested. It ft him into a routine tho and slept through from 4 weeks.

Oh ducky don't worry I will Deffo get my revenge Grin every weekend when he's off school and wants to sleep in I'll be waking him up at 6am! Grin

Do u have another week till scan ducky?

OP posts:
duckyisback · 07/04/2016 07:30

Cupcake, you can get your revenge when he is a teenager Grin

Lulu I wouldn't let the jumper thing drop that's hilarious Grin how was your camper trip?

This two weeks waiting for the scan seems to be going so so slow. I have been getting very bad nausea on and off all day but not actually been sick. I'm hungry but too nauseous to eat.

LuluJakey1 · 06/04/2016 09:16

Yes Cupcake. Got into bed and said, 'It's cold tonight. Let's have a cuddle up'. I said airily 'Oh just put a jumper on DH, you don't always need to cuddle-up you know'. He swore and laughed. He did admit he had realised how pompous and how much like his dad he had sounded. He'll be collecting string and elastic bands next (one of FILs little hobbies). He said am I going to make fun of him by saying the 'Oh just put a jumper on' thing any chance I get for the next 50 years and I said yes, absolutely.

Ducky, DS is a good sleeper usually. We don't often get interrupted nights but we sometimes get a little run of them. He slept through last night. I am worried that if we have another baby it will be a bad sleeper. I am useless without sleep. I don't know how you cope. I get really snappy and then cry easily and just become pathetic and don't function properly. When you and Cupcake describe the nights you have it puts me off another baby.

Hope you both have a good day. We are going out in the camper - across to Allendale and the Durham Dales. Hoping it's nicer weather there.

Cupcake92 · 06/04/2016 08:28

Lulu did he say it was cold? Grin
Children seem to have tons of energy! I wish I had it too! But I'm exhausted by the end of the day Grin

Ducky I don't think ds1 sleep will ever get better Grin probably only when he's a teenager and never wants to get up Grin ds2 is amazing still, sleeps through from 7:30 till 6/7am :) so I'm thankful one of my children sleeps well!

Hope u both have a nice day!

OP posts:
duckyisback · 06/04/2016 07:56

Ahh no cupcake! Hope ds1 sleeping gets better, it scares me knowing they can still be like that at that age! How is ds2 sleeping?

Lulu, I think it's a man thing, no matter how cold it is h will never put the heating on! Is ds still sleeping well? What time does he go to bed?

We didn't make it swimming, ds fell asleep and it was my only opportunity to get him to nap! Was going to go today but am meeting a friend and taking dc to soft play instead.

LuluJakey1 · 05/04/2016 22:32

Cupcake, I am waiting for him to get into bed and complain he is cold- which he does regularly even though he gives off enough heat to melt a polar ice cap. Next time he says it and goes to cuddle up to me I'll tell him to just put a jumper on.

DS has run round and round tonight playing with a little wooden car. He was exhausted and over-tired when he went to bed. He has been to soft play and walked on the prom at the lighthouse. I can't believe how much energy he has. I think he'll sleep tonight.

Cupcake92 · 05/04/2016 22:03

Oh dear lulu Grin I always put the heating on! I get paranoid that the dc's are cold Grinplus I like it when it's cosy in the house :)

It's been sunny here today but it's been very cold.

OP posts:
LuluJakey1 · 05/04/2016 16:39

DS and I have just come in. We've been out all day. It is cold up here today and wet. Walked home from SIL in the rain. House is feezing. DH working at dining room table, barely looks up.

I ask if the heating us broken and he says 'No, I've just put a jumper on. You don't always need to put the heating on you know.'
Angry I went upstairs and put it on, leaving DS asleep in his pushchair.

DH took one look as I came downstairs and said ' Have you put it on?' as if he couldn't believe it. I said 'Yes' nothing else.

Have made myself a cup of tea and am sitting next to the radiator. Grr! He is turning into his dad.

Cupcake92 · 05/04/2016 09:23

Sorry I've been absent!

We went for champagne breakfast and then a meal and drinks in the evening. For the first time in years o for very drunk then couldn't function the day after Grin think I've only just recovered haha!

That's so strange as my ds1 is sleeping awful again too!!

Hope u both manage to get ur ds's to sleep tonight!

I need to email work and speak to them about when I come back as my Mat leave finishes at the end of May :( I don't want to go back now. But I've looked at options and just won't be able to afford having anymore time off :( sucks!

Well have a nice time swimming. I get awful when I am really tired. Hope he has a sleep and you can have a snooze too.

DS has had his milk and is in the shower with DH. I am having some tea and toast and 15 minutes peace and quiet before they come down for breakfast.

I am takng him out today so DH can do some work. Am going to soft play then meeting SIL for something to eat. Then we are going up to the country park and back to hers.
