Hi all, this is my first time TTC and would be grateful for anyone else who wants to join this journey with me until I get a BFP.

I have been using the Period Diary app to track my ovulation/fertility dates. I have a period that lasts 6 days and usually my cycle is approx 27days. According to the app my ovulation date was yesterday (13th Feb). We have tried twice before this date.

Wondering if there are any others which have had successful pregnancies using solely apps? Or if they have any tips on identifying ovulation?

Would love to share the highs and lows with you lovely people on this journey x

What was your progesterone level Blonde? A day can make a big difference my gp said to me. I normally have a 30-33 day cycle so hitting the 7 day before your period is due was difficult. First lot was 29 and that was 8 days before af and the 2nd tests were 31 which was 6 days before af.

CFor123 · 23/03/2016 11:25

Is anybody else in their tww? I hate this part of the month! According to Ovia I can test in 11 days!

Bellini239 · 23/03/2016 10:32

Hey Blondie, hope you have a wonderful Easter break!! Yeah just dtd as much as possible and enjoy your vacay loads. I hope they get all of your tests sorted soon!

Eve: well at least you know now you're not ovulating and they can do something to help that. X

EveWebster · 22/03/2016 21:19

I'm not ovulating at the time when I should, so I'm off to the doctors tomorrow to give me something for stress as I think that is the root cause of it. I should have been ovulating around the last few days but no mucus.

Blondie0912 · 22/03/2016 20:44

Heeey yea it was a day 21 test. Doctor thinks my cycle was messed up and maybe I tested too early this month (fingers crossed!). Gonna go back for the day 2 tests once I figure out when that is... But also gonna keep DTD as much as possible after AF; can't hurt right? Being on vacation might help Grin.

I hope you all have nice plans for the bank holiday weekend!!!! WineCakeChocolate

Bellini239 · 22/03/2016 14:42

Hi Blondie, what kind of progesterone test did they do? Was it on day 21 of your cycle ?

Hi Emily thanks, so the soerm won't get tired by the day of ovulation? Thanks!

Ahhh Bellini I need a Bellini! Haha! Still no AF and still BFN (getting so annoyed now- just want AF if I'm honest so I can get on with it again!). Saw my GP this morning who is being really awesome and is referring me for some more tests after the progesterone was really low- so at least things are moving! DH is not going to be happy as they want to get him involved now too (oh well! Wink). Hopefully you girls are having better weeks Grin

Bellini239 · 22/03/2016 10:54

How's is everyone this fine morning? X

Bellini239 · 21/03/2016 15:28

Lol Bellini!! Let's see... That would be great! Smile well it's better that you know if there is an issue, I think low progesterone levels are quite an easy issue to fix.... Defo need a glass of wine over Easter all of this is so stressful lol!!!! X

Blondie0912 · 21/03/2016 14:40

Hahaha sadly yes Blush I took one Saturday and Sunday - both definite BFNs... Will try again tomorrow but am now convinced it's pretty unlikely- I think my blood test must have come up with a really low progesterone number! At least you can have a large glass of wine now- and it's almost a bank holiday weekend!!! Grin plus, now maybe you can have a Christmas/New years baby Wink

Bellini239 · 21/03/2016 13:46

Hey Blondie have you done a pregnancy test? Maybe why you're late? Just got my af today! Sigh x

Blondie0912 · 21/03/2016 13:19

Well, called to get my blood test results today to see if I'm ovulating and they told me to make an appointment with the doctor, so that can't be good news Sad still no AF today (2 days late now) so god knows what's going on- never seemed to have a problem having AF when I wasn't paying attention to all this! Typical Confused! Hope you're all having a better Monday than me!!!! Grin

Bellini239 · 20/03/2016 21:44

Hi broody psyche I know how you feel, I've been trying for 7 months and it's beyond frustrating!!!!!! X

broodypsycho · 20/03/2016 20:03

I've been ttc now for 9 months, getting impatient now. Good luck OP on your journey

CFor123 · 20/03/2016 15:35

Thank you, I'll give that a look!

Bellini239 · 20/03/2016 14:19

Hey also if you look at cycle insights that gives you a fully historic preview Smile xx

CFor123 · 20/03/2016 11:44

To be honest it's the only app I have tried and I found it a bit of a pain trying to look back at what had happened the precious months however... I have only just today found the fertility chart bit, which does make it a bit easier to use.

Bellini239 · 20/03/2016 09:58

Hi, why don't you like about ovia? I can barely work out the other apps haha! X

CFor123 · 19/03/2016 19:13

Hello everybody! Sorry I haven't replied sooner, I've been really busy at work! I have had 2 X AF's since I stopped the pill but I'm not sure if I have ovulated or not. I'm trying to just stay calm and let things happen, which is difficult as we both really want to start our family. I have been taking folic acid since the start of January and am keeping everything crossed for a BFP soon. It sounds silly but I don't think until we started trying that I knew a blooming thing about how your monthly cycle works. With having been on the pill for a fair few years I have no idea what is normal for me so this makes it a bit more difficult. I have been using Ovia but I'm undecided if I like the app or not.

EveWebster · 18/03/2016 20:28

Fingers crossed Bellini. Did you all try a different diet when you started ttc? Blondie, I definitely think stress has a negative impact, which is why I have taken drastic measures to change my life. I'm going to try meditating and definitely do more yoga to calm me down.

Bellini239 · 18/03/2016 19:09

Hey Bellini and everyone else! Yeah it's soooo frustrating ... But yeah I would recommend aoonish maybe getting tests done depending on whether you wanna wait or not--- as I'm 32 I want to move a bit quicker you see.... For me it just helps having a plan rather than sitting here questioning everything .... Keep me posted if you get a bfp!!!! X

Blondie0912 · 18/03/2016 18:23

Totally get you Bellini. We've been trying since July; but my cycles didn't really start until November so pretty sure I wasn't ovulating or anything until then. January & February I was absolutely slammed at work so DTD was very limited- so I'm trying to start fresh now and actively try at the right times. I know in the scheme of things it's not that long but it convinces me there must be something wrong since nothing has happened yet Confused. You're so on top of everything! I think I'll give it till the summer but will definitely take your advice on going private. I hadn't considered that before but it makes so much since rather than waiting!!!!!

EveWebster · 18/03/2016 15:53

Welcome Elisa and CFor. I'm still in my three months folic acid phase. I rang and booked an appointment for a pre-conceive check up but I'm having to wait weeks. My problem is my stress levels are through the roof and my cycle is still not back to normal. Me thinks it might be the stress from work. What about everyone else?

Bellini239 · 18/03/2016 15:23

Hey Blondie! I'm in my 2ww too, don't think I'm preggers either! How many months have you been ttc for now? So Dh and I have started discussing a strategy when it comes to IVF.... I think basically if I'm not pregnant by June we want to begin treatment .... I'm just so tired and the more time goes on I'm feeling less optimistic .... X
