Thread 10 ttc#1 The one where we're all really bored of hormones, the tww and cervical mucus or Why is my eggo not preggo!?

Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird/Ovibitch) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 10, Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat, I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

I will add that my opks go posotive and I'm upduffed

Mileymoocow · 08/02/2016 11:21

first your opk was positive?! I'd go and get an frer of you're due to test

firstgo1984 · 08/02/2016 11:12

ok so i caved in and POAS as I hadn't for days!

opk pretty dark (almost positive)
BFN on an asda 15miu test

Think I am out. Just not got to hope AF arrives and that the opk is just a random result. I was kind of hoping this cycle would end soon one way or another (CD46 today)

Snowdog37 · 08/02/2016 11:05

Ah-ha! There's where you all are!

Snow, 37 (going on 73)
Ttc #1
Cycle 3, day 18, 6dpo

Temps are in a little dip, I've got a lovely snotty cold starting up, I know it's not pregnancy related wishful thinking as my dh has it too. Gotta love marital colds. Clearly he's got man flu and I'm able to carry on as normal. 😝😂

Feefeefs · 08/02/2016 10:25

It's frustrating though pugmummy I know the feeling. Be kind to yourself and focus on the things you do like for now and make a plan to get back to what was working

Pugmummy87 · 08/02/2016 10:06

Hmm, the positivity I had a few days ago is waning. Feeling cranky and emotional today, pissed off as running out of clothes that fit well and bras which are getting to tight and digging into my skin. Annoyed that Ive put on 1 1/2 stones over the past year after working so bloody hard to get it off. I should have been at my target weight last year and instead I've pissed about and I'm even further away from it now.
Fucking pcos makes it so damn hard, comes off so slowly, put goes on the minute I see a cake!

Please ignore me, it's trivial really.

Yvonne1986 · 08/02/2016 09:43

Kat can you add me to the list please I'll be testing on the 19th if AF doesn't arrive first xxx

Chocaholic88 · 08/02/2016 08:56

We're really lucky elle as we have a few photographers working for us so will never be short of professional pics... parents dream haha

ElleSarcasmo · 08/02/2016 08:29

Choc that will be fab and you can get some lovely pictures after! Smile

ElleSarcasmo · 08/02/2016 08:27

Holly what did you think of the baby making bible? Would you recommend it?

Fx AF stays away Kat!

Sounds hopeful Starky, fx for you! Hope you got to sleep eventually.

Thanks for sharing Alice!

Feefeefs · 08/02/2016 08:09

Hoping the witch doesn't get you kat. And if she does hope you can take it easy tonight.

Agree with Miley, the anxiety does not go but only enhances once those 2 lines appear. Very attached to my poppy/sesame seed so doing everything I can to keep it safe in there.

firstgo1984 · 08/02/2016 07:30

kat i have never paid so much attention to boob tenderness before. Mine are definitely less tender today. Though nipples still very sensitive.

I am just hypothesising why that might be. Especially puttung it together with the cramps i had yesterday evening. I am just sure AF is coming.

AliceScarlett · 08/02/2016 07:28

February 27th testing for me.

I bet you all want an update on my foof, lucky people. So cervix is soft, open and high- awesome, CM is a bit watery, bit creamy -not so awesome. Predicting ovulation is actually impossible. Even OPKs can say yes when actually they mean no. Grr.

KatOnATinRo0f · 08/02/2016 07:27

First is that what happens then? Boobs get more tender as AF approaches and then die down a bit?

I have unfortunately woken up to really strong AF cramps so (I knew it anyway) but she was just teasing me yesterday by not showing up on time. She'll be here by lunchtime. Onwards and upwards for the March bus. Have to admit really feeling :( about it now. At work today so won't b so active. Good luck everyone Thanks

Holly300 · 08/02/2016 07:11

Stardusty it looks like we'll be testing buddies Smile but I haven't ovulated yet so my date could change.

firstgo1984 · 08/02/2016 06:53

star i suspect it's just AF on the way sadly. I reckon my boobs are less tender as progesterone is falling....

stardusty5 · 08/02/2016 06:48

Hope those are pregnancy signs first!

Kat please can you put me down for March 8th?

firstgo1984 · 08/02/2016 06:34

So lots of cramps yesterday evening which have settled this am. Nipples still very sensitive but boobs overall less sore.

12dpo today i think.

Holly300 · 08/02/2016 06:29

Elle I've been reading the baby making bible and it basically recommends different things to eat, drink, different exercise etc depending on which point in your cycle you're in and which 'type' you are. It's quite intense really, so I've just started by taking bits from it that are realistic for me. Teas I've been drinking so far: nettle, jasmine and raspberry leaf.

One thing I will say that it recommends for relaxation which I totally agree with is an Epsom salt bath! They're great, especially with a few drops of essential oil in it.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 08/02/2016 03:22

Insomnia, bloody insomnia! I'm so tired and I can't for the life of me switch off! Dh thinks I've got too much sugar in my system, I've only had pombears thinking I'd be all right, but nope! So pombears are now on my "send me batty" list of foods to avoid! Oh delicious little potato snacks! Why have you forsaken me?! 🐻

kat fx af stays away!

OP posts:
StarkyTheDirewolf · 08/02/2016 01:05

Right, so this cycle could currently go either way. So, today I'm 9 dpo (for 1 hour and 5 minutes)...

Pro - weird Vibro-tum, jelly legs, pokey stabby pain yesterday in middling area, gas: the burps, not the toots. Massive amount of dtd combined with positive opk's. Felt myself ovulate. Dh's input "your hair is nice, you might be pregnant" conclusive proof in man world

Against - spots, my boobs are swollen and starting to feel sore (af symptom, regular as clockwork) I'm starting to bloat. I don't feel any different than I usually would on the run up to af other than the above thirsty as balls (again, standard for me pre-af) didn't have any ewcm, only have minimal creamy cm now. Haven't been stroking my Hugo so no idea what going on down there.

I've heard of it, but when I've looked it up, there's no contemporary clinical studies done on people. I love herbal medicines but I'd be wary initially. I'd definitely ask a doctor and consult a herbalist before taking it as it can have massive negative effects on women taking hormonal medication, it can also screw with medication for depression.

Hi lyssie welcome! Glad you found us! Smile

Kat
It's some sort of herbal vitamin thingy you take and it's supposed to help your hormones regulate so you get pregnant.
