Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird/Ovibitch) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 10, Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat, I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

Thanks all. OH apparently had his sperm checked a few years ago and they were excellent but it might be worth getting checked again. They won't do anything at the doctors as I'm only 28 and probably even a private doctor would say "keep trying"... But where is this arbitrary point where you've been trying enough? If there's something wrong, it's wrong now. Waiting another 5 cycles or 2 years won't make any difference?
I'm healthy, I have no diseases or allergies or intolerances or anything I know about. I've never been seriously ill. I'm under 30. I'm not over or under weight, I keep relatively fit, I hardly drink, I don't smoke, I eat pretty healthy most of the time.... (DH is pretty much the same but he's 10 years older) ... I've been doing OPKs and dtd throughout fertile week. I just thought it would have happened by now. Especially when people are popping up with cycles 1-3 upuffedness, I'm so happy for everyone but I'm wondering if I need a different bus?
I will allow myself to mope until AF buggers off because then I suddenly have to start being sexy again. Blush (that is me with blusher on)

I'm having one of those days. The visit to the vet has completely thrown my nerves off, I can't for the life of me sit still!

I know what you mean jam it's almost like the pressure hasensor lifted slightly, I felt like that once I'd hot cycle 1 out of the way. Unfortunately now, as I get closer to the end of cycle 2, I fear I'm decending into madness!

My boobs have stopped hurting so much but I have no other symptoms at all. I had some sharp pains for a couple of days which felt like they were in the same place. But I'm sure I'm imagining it now.

A little update for you all. I am pretty convinced that sunday's cramps were ovulation as i sneakily scanned my ovaries at work and think i have a corpus luteum on the side that the cramps were mostly on.

So I am sticking with 21st as test date.

Jamjar12 · 09/02/2016 16:59

Congratulations golden and planet!!!

Just popped on to see if any of our girls have been lucky and lo and behold! Another 2 upduffed. Amazing news.

Not much to report here. Feeling quite calm and trying to ignore a niggly feeling in the back of my head that it's worked this month. Way too early to tell of course and I'm not tempting fate by letting myself think it's the month lol.

I seem to be getting more casual about it as each month goes by. This is cycle 3 now. Almost like the pressures off now to get pregnant quick and now I'm just in for the slow and steady long haul, which is ok. Anyone else like that or am I weird?!

Snowdog37 · 09/02/2016 16:43

Ok all, the progesterone cream was recommended to me by one of my American friends, she's got 2 kids and both were conceived after a few cycles once she started using the cream. I think her progesterone levels were borderline so her dr wouldn't prescribe the suppositories but she was told to try this cream by a company called Emerita. So she did, and the levels went up slightly, but more importantly she felt better hormonally and conceived 3 months after using it from 3dpo to 16dpo (once you get a confirmed bfn you stop using it and af arrives) and if she got a bfp she used it twice a day until 12 weeks. It's really helped her she says, so I asked my dr who said it can't hurt. So I got her to send me a couple of the boxes of pre measured sachets and here we are. I definitely feel less frantic and stressy. It does accentuate your pre af symptoms a little but it also helps your temps stabilize a little higher to provide a nice cozy womb for implantation too. I'm trying it as I'm getting on a bit and it worked for her after a couple months. It might be snake oil but honestly I do feel a little better on it so it does seem to help me hormonally.

Kat Elle, yes the OH went for fertility check as he cycles a lot. NHS waiting list was 2 months so he paid for private...don't know exactly figure...about £75-100 depending on location. Certainly gave us peace of mind. Also got him started on Wellman vitamins just to be sure!

harrietm87 · 09/02/2016 16:08

Hey hey. Haven't fully caught up yet but wanted to reply to some things while I remember!

moggy so sorry about your niece. Are you cd9 today then? I think feef, indi and latinata also have similar cycles - how are you guys doing?

Congrats planet!!! Lol that you thought you were cd76!

I am def going midwife led unit if I ever manage to get preg. I think I want a water birth. Definitely not lying flat on my back if I can avoid it!

holly what was the name of the book you recommended? I can't find it in this monster thread!

Feefeefs · 09/02/2016 15:51

Congrats pineapple and planteer! Wow you must be so excited.

Sorry your feeling down kat I'm cycle 3

ElleSarcasmo · 09/02/2016 15:47

Congratulations Planeteer! That's a lovely line! Flowers

Kat sorry to hear you're worried. I know how you feel. It is so stressful trying and not knowing when/if it's going to happen. It's hard to know what to advise-I will be over 35 by the time we get to 6 months so will be eligible for NHS testing but would look into private testing-would that be an option for you? I think Ni's OH might have had some sperm testing? (Did I remember right *Ni?) Hugs to you Flowers

Starky sorry Coco is having to go through that. It will make all the difference having you there to cuddle her.

Pugmummy87 · 09/02/2016 15:44

Planet congratulations! So glad you decided to test after that positive opk. May you have a very boring and happy 9 months ahead.
When you got a bfn last week, what did you test with? An ic or a frer ?

LisaTheGreek · 09/02/2016 15:44

FKSkip - I think people are referring to this one - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/2565096-to-want-some-peace-and-quiet-on-the-ward?pg=1

Please don't read if you are particularly worried about birth/labour. It's very upsetting and might have triggers if anyone had a bad experience in the past.

Ni4444 · 09/02/2016 14:54

Go Planet (in voice of captain planet! 🌍) That's fantastic news!!

Aw poor Coco! Great excuse for cuddles on the sofa Stark!

Snow tell us more about the progesterone! How, why, where? My luteal phase was quite short this time 10 days I think i wonder if something briefly stuck then fell off! Acupuncture lady (who is on maternity leave now but still telling me to send over my charts! Bless her!) reckons it's not a problem, but to keep a thermometer an eye on it!

Man I am struggling with headacheyness..wonder if I'm coming down with something

CD5. Kat I'm cycle 5 (but reminding myself of 20% chance every month, and I reckon we only timed sex right 2 months so far!) meh come on already!!

FXSkip · 09/02/2016 14:45

Alice whats the thread called? I'm intrigued! bored at work

Starky that's horrible, you are making it better for her, and you'll be there to give her lots of cuddles after and thats the main thing.

LaraG13 · 09/02/2016 14:35

Huge congrats planeteer!!! 💐

StarkyTheDirewolf · 09/02/2016 14:32

She's got to have it removed, next Tuesday, best part of £300. It was traumatic, Coco doesn't like people poking in her ear, or her face. She weights 2.5k and it took two of us to attempt to keep her still, she's like a bloody ferret! I need a strong drink!

intetestrd in the prog cream snow. What does it do and what made you decide to try it?

Sorry to hear some of you are getting fed up with this whole Ttc business. kat, I'm on cycle 3 of 'trying', by which I mean monitoring fertile weeks etc. but cycle 4 of unprotected sex.

LisaTheGreek · 09/02/2016 14:23

Congrats Planeteer, that's fantastic news! So happy for you! Flowers

Kathrino · 09/02/2016 14:13

Starky that's rubbish about nightmares. Hate it when brain won't turn off and let you actually sleep. Fx all ok with little Coco too! Thanks

Indi I feel like a bit of a doofus for not testing sooner. Got a bfn last week and that plus positive opks made me think I'd only just ovd. Will be v interested to see how far along I actually am. Gah!

I'll push off to the grads thread but would love to keep popping up here to see how you're doing. Here's to a veritable avalanche of BFPs in the coming weeks!

What's AIBU??? Hmm

AliceScarlett · 09/02/2016 13:29

Anyone following the birth story on AIBU? Scary. This is why I'm going to push for a HB or MLU, even though it will be my 1st.

AliceScarlett · 09/02/2016 13:25

Cycle 2 as well.

Congrats Plant! Amazing news.

Love the stats, 34.5% is pretty darn good.

celizabe · 09/02/2016 13:16

Thanks FX; love a good ambiguous symptom!

Kat - I'm on cycle 2 this month, with a 31 day cycle - I'm already exhausted Hmm

KatOnATinRo0f · 09/02/2016 13:16

Yes pretty much... Came off the pill in August, they've been 26-28 days each time, so not wildly different. This last one was 28days and got me excited for a few hrs. Lol WineWineWineWineWine
