Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird/Ovibitch) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 10, Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat, I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

Aw harriet, that sounds perfect and so romantic.

And huge congrats Lillian!!! That's a lovely BFP and what wonderful timing.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 14/02/2016 17:05

What do you think is making him anti marriage ni ? It's natural to bring it up on valentine's day, especially as you are ttc. Moving goal posts is frustrating as balls! Flowers

Congrats Lill!! What lovely news on V day, and on what would have been your due date. Lovely to get some good news! Xxx

Bad idea..amd bad timing given its V day. I brought up the idea of marriage again...OH is getting more and more anti marriage since we first started dating. Told him it was unfair to keep changing the goal post! Had a very frustrating conversation...😔

Peaches8Posies · 14/02/2016 17:00

Hi ladies just checking in.

Welcome newbies 😊

Congratulations harriet & lillian what a fabulous valentines weekend. And a lovely timed surprise for you Lillian. Wishing you a happy healthy 9 months xx

Hope everyone is having a nice evening weekend xx

StarkyTheDirewolf · 14/02/2016 16:39

moose same with mine, had decided to ttc, took him about a month to get past unprotected. He pussied out a few times in the beginning! Now he's much more accepting, especially since he worked out he gets a lot more sex! I told him when I'm approaching my fw and when I think I'm ovulating but he doesn't really get it despite me having explained it to him we watched 'the great sperm race' together, that was enlightening and he gets just how difficult it can be now and why I went slightly bonkers during fw

Huge congrats Lillian, delighted for you, especially with the timing! Flowers

Thanks too for your words of hope, there's so much negativity and pressure out there (esp at my age) that it's nice to be reminded there are stories with happy outcomes.

LisaTheGreek · 14/02/2016 16:28

Congrats Lillian on the BFP! Great news! Come over to the grads thread when you're ready Grin

And congrats Harriet on your engagement! Thanks

Mooseville · 14/02/2016 16:28

Thanks Starky Yeah I do think he is a little panicked by the whole idea - even though he is totally on board and wants kids! I've made the decision to not mention when I think I'm ovulating etc for the first few months, just to let him get his head round it!
Bgy I think that's pretty "normal" after coming off the pill. I'm a month behind you and just finished my withdrawal bleed so waiting to see how my body reacts. I wouldn't worry for a few more weeks at least and just see what happens....

Yvonne1986 · 14/02/2016 16:24

Congratulations Lillian what a lovely Valentines surprise!! X

Planeteer · 14/02/2016 16:22

Yes Lillian!!! So happy for you Grin

StarkyTheDirewolf · 14/02/2016 16:17

Bgy4hlr I can sympathise, I have long cycles too. Coming off the pill can mess with your body something rotten. It's common to take a while to fall back into a regular cycle. Keep tracking and doing opk's to get a better understanding. Opk's give you an idea of when you're having an lh surge. I'd do one every day just to keep track but I love opks

miw I've want a home birth ideally. I definitely wouldn't choose hospital and a MLU would be a hard compromise to make. But I'm lucky, I live in a city where there are at least 2 large hospitals and a MLU within a 5-10 minute drive. I'd expect an MLU to have provisions in case anything went wrong. But I'd have to do a lot of research beforehand.

moose it took me ages to convince bully Dh into unprotected sex, once we actually got into the swing of it he's much more happy. I think they have to get their head round it all initially, dh was absolutely convinced that one squirt and id be immediately pregnant! He still doesn't understand ovulation/cycles etc! But we used to struggle, I'm slightly allergic to latex and even latex free condoms made me swell up internally, so dtd would mean it would take a good few days to feel back to normal. I had constant issues with cystitis and utis. Now we're not using anything, we have a MUCH better sex life

lillian what brilliant news for Valentine's Day!!!! Congratulations!!!

harriet congratulations too!! So lovely that it was a total suprise!!

Lovely Valetines Day here - went for a walk in the woods, now cooking a lamb roast and cracking open a bottle of red!
Not into fertile week yet but tried to get DP to DTD this morning after opening our cards and he wasn't really feeling it. Don't think we've even had unprotected sex yet! Think I might be in for the long haul here! It would all be so much easier if sex wasn't involved!

miwelaisjacydo · 14/02/2016 15:49

I realise that I am not as yet pregnant but would it bother you giving birth in birth centre where nearest bigger hospital was over an hour away?

miwelaisjacydo · 14/02/2016 15:47

lillian brill news congratulations 🤓

Yvonne1986 · 14/02/2016 15:41

Hi Bgy4hlr it's quite common to have really long cycles post pill my first was 64 days and I didn't OV till day 46 x

Bgy4hlr · 14/02/2016 15:35

Hi all
I am new to all this but I could do with some help...

Took my last pill (Gedarel) 5 Jan.
Withdrawal bleed 7 Jan.
No period since (now day 39 14 feb).
Cervix is currently high and soft with a lot of creamy cm.
Did ovulation tests for a week when I should have ovulated and all were negative.
Two negative pregnancy tests (today and a week ago).

I know I am early in this process but any advice on what the above means? Or what I should expect? Xx

LillianFullStop · 14/02/2016 15:31

Thanks starky and kat! Yes AF was 4 days late!!

LillianFullStop · 14/02/2016 15:30

Thanks zazzles and moggy! Besides morning gassiness (sorry tmi) and a bit of raging temper (can usually be blamed on work and a sometimes occurence pre-AF) - the only stand out one different from pre-AF symptoms is the amount of CM not during FW.

My tests on Wed and Thu (AF date) were both BFN but AF still hadn't shown this weekend (normally bang on time) so I tested again!

KatOnATinRo0f · 14/02/2016 15:29

Yes Lillian !!! Well done!! Congrats!! I knew it! You were late weren't you?! Yay!!!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 14/02/2016 15:24

Welcome island - sorry to hear about your mc. I went through a mc at 10 weeks last year in July too. The first time took 12 months to conceive. There is hope for us as I got my BFP this morning! It's especially happy news for me and DH because our first bean was meant to be due today.

You'll love the laughs and support from the ladies in this thread Smile

Moggysinger · 14/02/2016 15:12

Oh wow huge congrats Lillian!!!
What a beautiful strong line and a lovely v's day prezzie for you both! Flowers

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 14/02/2016 15:11

Oh wow lillian congratulations! Flowers

Can you remind us what symptoms you did have please? :)

LillianFullStop · 14/02/2016 15:08

So this happened this morning - wasn't convinced by the FRER so had to make sure with the CB. I am stunned I've hardly any symptoms this cycle!!!

KatOnATinRo0f · 14/02/2016 14:59

Just bought some EPO.... How much do we take and when? Is it just up until ovulation? My pre-conception supplement has omega 3 fatty acids in it from fish oils, is it okay to take both? (I have the sainsburys own ones, it's a multivitamin and folic acid plus an oily tablet to take once a day, but checked and no EPO in it.

Also what happens if you dip the OPK too much? I think I pushed all the dye up to far as looking from the side under the green tab bit it's purple. Maybe just needs to cry. Only cd7 so no big deal just yet.

(Someone will have to tell me to stop obsessing soon...)
