Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird/Ovibitch) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 9 , Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat, I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

Cycle 2, 3 dpo but not feeling like this is my month.
Tortuous evening of looking through baby photos with MIL to cheer her up after chemo. Struggled to keep my shit together big time.

Pugmummy87 · 31/01/2016 21:40

Thanks Elle & Spaghetti, I thought as much, seems you have to manually enter it.

I've just joined the fit bit billion steps challenge for sports relief. I need to increase my activity as I sit in a car/sofas/gp surgery most days at work anyway, so may as well do it for a good cause.

Bellini I'm glad you are looking on the bright side. Wine

LisaTheGreek · 31/01/2016 21:33

Bellini, I'm so sorry. What a shitty pain in the arse.

I hope the wine is helping, and sending you virtual hugs x

Holly300 · 31/01/2016 21:13

Fab attitude Bellini ;) WineWineWineenjoy your wine and Botox x

BelliniButterfly · 31/01/2016 21:10

Thanks everyone. I'm feeling a bit better now (after a glass of wine!) lol. It's a double edged sword and I am now seeing the positives. Yes I can conceive which was my main worry and I can now rearrange my cancelled Botox appointment! lol :)

Looking forward to what February brings :)

Kathrino · 31/01/2016 21:08

I'll be testing on 6th/7th Flying presuming that AF hasn't turned up!

FlyingSpaghettiM0nster · 31/01/2016 20:59

FF does confirm ovulation although I don't agree with the date it's given me this month. I'm taking the info from the apps with a pinch of salt, yes it can be useful but some of it is rubbish too.

Is anyone else going to test on the 7th? I need a buddy due to test around that time to stop me from testing... otherwise I'll be peeing on sticks all over the place and it might get messy

Runner05 · 31/01/2016 20:57

So sorry Bellini, are you sure it's full on AF? It could just be a bleed? Try taking another test to check when the bleeding stops.

I really hope it's just one of those things and everything is ok but if not look at it as a positive. You did have a fertilised egg it just wasn't right this time and many people including me have a chemical pregnancy and go on to get pregnant the very next month.

BrewChocolateThanks

ElleSarcasmo · 31/01/2016 20:57

Ovia doesn't confirm ovulation Pugmummy. She just irritatingly moves your fertile week. LOLd at your little sperm in helmets with guns!

ElleSarcasmo · 31/01/2016 20:55

Think you mean me Vix Smile

The great sperm race is brilliantly done! Thanks to whoever linked it.

Hope you're doing ok Bellini, thinking of you Flowers

FlyingSpaghettiM0nster · 31/01/2016 20:52

Well that Great Sperm Race was depressing! How does anyone ever get pregnant?! Here's hoping a couple managed to get through my torture cavern

Pugmummy87 · 31/01/2016 20:46

I couldn't help but snigger childishly when the narrator said that Sperm arriving in the vagina was like landing on d day. All I could imagine were these little sperms with helmets and guns 😂

But yes, I also now feel sorry for them! Our bodies just constantly attack the poor buggers. No wonder it's so bloody difficult to get pregnant.

Does ovia confirm ovulation like FF does?

vixarooni · 31/01/2016 20:15

Hi. Sorry to hear your news bellini :(

Ipatches, sounds so promisingly good!!! Hello to the person who welcomed me that I forget the name of!

Painful boobage and emotional outbursts at quinoa are all go here.

Is the sperm race that programme I watched a few years ago that details the journey it goes on, and how our anti bodies attack the unknown invader? Cos that was great! If slightly off putting

latinata · 31/01/2016 20:10

Just clicked on The Great Sperm Race and then realised it was too long as I need to make dinner. I don't even have the patience to watch a film about sperm, let alone wait for one to fertilise one of my huevos!

Kathrino · 31/01/2016 19:39

Just catching up from today. I'm so sorry about the suspected chemical bellini thanks]

IndiX · 31/01/2016 18:20

Ni I said the exact same thing to DH after watching haha! All the way through I was saying 'aww poor sperm, they have a tough life'

Ni4444 · 31/01/2016 17:52

Ps...I think I'm gonna get totally put off next time we dtd feeling all sad for the poor sperm!!

Holly300 · 31/01/2016 17:37

Thanks pug, I'll be watching that.

Jamjar12 · 31/01/2016 17:26

Just watched the great sperm race- wow!! Women are just so difficult! Poor sperm.

Hubby started paying attention because he recognised Richard Armitage's voice doing the narration. Both feel much more educated and it's made us feel better about starting to try in cycle 3 as it's mostly down to luck!
