Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird/Ovibitch) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 9 , Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat, I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

lilkian I did, and promised him dtd after we'd watched it. Had to turn it off 20 mins in as it was "scaring his balls" apparently! Well, the last thing I need Is a coy nutsack so ill give it another go tomorrow properly!

I had to give my foof a rest today! I've trapped a nerve in my arse cheek, Dh kindly offered to "work it out" for me but I politely declined today! I swear he's got the libido of a 21 yr old! He's nearly 38 and would cheerfully go hell for leather at it twice a day! I shouldn't complain, I'm lucky in that respect I suppose! But my twinkle has been left spluttering and gasping for air after this weekend!

Another stressed overworked nhs worker here! Hurry up baby so I can go on mat leave!!

I downloaded the calm app after someone suggested it in one of the earlier threads, I love listening to the 'rain on leaves' to go to sleep, it is ridiculously relaxing

FXSkip · 02/02/2016 22:28

I realise I sounded like a cheesy ad for an American no-fuss no-effort money-back-guarantee exercise video. Apologies. But seriously yoga can be amazing.

FXSkip · 02/02/2016 22:26

Sooo much to catch up on but the chilling out at/after work thing caught my eye. A few years ago I was finding work really stressful - my hair was falling out, i was overweight and depressed. so I took up yoga seriously, 2.5hr daily practice, meditation and breathing (gradually over time!) I also took up life Drawing and both have literally changed my life. If you don't want to go to a class there are lots online (Grokker is good, also Kino Macgregor on YouTube, or codyapp you pay for bundles - I love Talia Sutra and fitqueenirene) they all do short videos you can follow along to -no equipment required.

Feefeefs · 02/02/2016 22:26

sucha downloaded. Along with the calm app!

SuchaJem · 02/02/2016 22:16

feef if you like the Adam Buxton podcasts you will loooove the Adam and Joe show. It's soooooo silly :)

LillianFullStop · 02/02/2016 22:10

lol starky - it is sweet how enthusiastic they are about it all. Must make him watch sperm movie!

pug it's game time!

Hi ImpY!

ImpYCelyn · 02/02/2016 22:00

Aargh! I've started back at work and been swamped, and you've gone posting mad. Just saying hi this evening, tomorrow I'm going to read and catch up!

Hi Grin

StarkyTheDirewolf · 02/02/2016 21:53

I'd say that was a positive pug

lillian my Dh has also become Ovia #2 "babe, I think you're pregnant, your hair is really thick and shiny, you look all healthy and glowing"....After I'd finished laughing I had to burst his bubble and tell him that at 3 dpo, the hormones probably wouldn't have made my hair thick and shiny just yet, that's probably because I washed it.

Pugmummy87 · 02/02/2016 21:37

There's no such thing as a fish is a hilarious podcast. I listened to it on a flight recently and was pissing myself during take off

Feefeefs · 02/02/2016 21:20

Ooh will have to check them out sucha I have been listening to Adam buxtons new podcast and it's great

positivity123 · 02/02/2016 21:19

Still no AF today even though I'm due so I might test tomorrow. Smile
Yes yes yes to yoga, it feels great and it's also really indulgent as you get time to be still. I would also recommend the app Insight Timer if anybody fancies doing any meditation, there are some lovely 10 min guided ones. I sound like a bit of a hippy, I'm not I actually work in a corporate job but I like to embrace the flower power when I'm out the office
Hope everybody is ok and keeping strong (and checking their CM obsessively!)

SuchaJem · 02/02/2016 21:17

Wahh I listen to podcasts obsessively. Good one to sleep to is the Met Office - very chilled out chat about all things weather.

For a laugh my current fave is the old Adam and Joe show podcasts. They have me in silent tears of laughter on public transport.

Feefeefs · 02/02/2016 21:16

Thanks pugmummy too, also would look forward to maternity leave which almost seems bonkers! Line manager is Ok but only ok I think struggling also.

Feefeefs · 02/02/2016 21:14

Sorry typos galore!

Hair cutting not hit cutting.

TMJ disorder now not know!

Feefeefs · 02/02/2016 21:12

I'm clinical elle but my post also involves some service development and supervision of junior staff so can be very challenging to prioritise as I can't say no to patients!

Hilariously I just told DH "someone just suggested I try bullet journaling, it looks quite usefulness" cue 100 yard stare, DH- "what?"
Me-" A bit like a fancy to-do list/diary"
DH-"Oh I thought she wanted you to record each time I 'fired of a bullet'" accompanied by crotch thrust!
Hmm

You are so right ni, I tend to try and take responsibility for everything and struggle to say no.

Oh my god planteer I love asmr! Especially hit cutting or brushing ones!

I also listen to podcasts to sleep kat! It's weird we all have so much in common. "Stuff you should know" is my favourite for sleeping I find American accents more soothing! I'm an AHP in a large regional specialist centre.

My oral surgery was three very challenging wisdom tooth removal, all three had to have 3 infections before they would agree to remove and they all appeared one after the other, all require referral to an oral surgeon as opposed to dentist due to severe impaction. Third one most difficult and may have retained root/bit of jaw bone which has resulted in repeated abscess. Awaiting to hear from oral surgeon again now for further assessment. The pain(and probably work stress) meant I started to clench while sleeping and I managed to sprain my jaw! Dentist suggesting I know might have a TMJ disorder as result have got a splint now and eating soft food but struggling with he pain and tension headaches sorry for essay! Just very open to any helpful suggestions!

Pugmummy87 · 02/02/2016 21:11

Oh feef I know how you feel with low morale in the nhs. Not sure if you are clinical or not, but at the end if the day, I do the best with the resources I have and ensure my patients get the best care possible, which sometimes does involve me having to bend over backwards etc. It's so draining. Do you have some support in a line manager? Sucks that you are having to pick up the pieces and try and sort issues which aren't your responsibility /part of your role.

Part of me is looking forward to just being able to have some extended time off when I get up duffed!

So was prodding around today and low and behold, more ewcm. Cervix feels really open too and some left sided pelvic pain. Wtf body? Maybe I haven't ovulated at the weekend after all. Maybe I should do a pissy opk.

stardusty5 · 02/02/2016 20:50

Kat and Feef, i also listen to things to help me sleep. My current favourite is the In Our Time programme on radio 4 iplayer. I have never managed to listen to one all the way through. It's the perfect balance of interesting enough to stop my mind wandering, but too boring to keep me awake! Grin

ASMR videos on youtube can be good too, but i have to be in the right mood.

KatOnATinRo0f · 02/02/2016 20:46

Kwick I know you are having off type thingies going on but do u mind me asking what they actually did? So sorry to hear you're in pain x x x x x

Feef I listen to podcasts to help me get to sleep- I can't sleep unless I have someone talking to me in my ear. Then in out like a light. It's annoying when o really want to listen to something! Takes me months as I go back to where I remember the next night and so I don't get v far on!
May I ask what u do for the NHS? It's such a big organisation, and whatever is going on is NOT YOUR problem. So try not to get to stressed out by it. Imo the nhs is a failing system (and the govt want it to probably).
What oral surgery did u have done/when? (I may be able to give some advice)

Re Bullet journal (can't remember who asked) yes that's the website, there's a few fb groups too. I only started yesterday!! Haha. I'm not very arty so mine is mainly functional, just trying to collate my to do lists and future planning but i still have my iCal for booking appts, I haven't quite figured it out yet.

Kwick709 · 02/02/2016 20:29
  • opps should read I am in AGONY

By the way have just ordered CoEnzyme Q10 and vit E - anyone else taking for egg quality?

Kwick709 · 02/02/2016 20:28

On to page 14....

Lovely reminder for us to count blessings starky

LOL regarding dh getting worried about cojones :)

So they asked me today before op if I knew how much I weighed and i said "yes a lot".
Op went well - they did not find anything but now home I am AGONY!!! Period pain like pain not allowed to take normal heavy duty pain killers and paracetomol jusy does not cut it :( bleeding as well my poor poor fanjo :(

spagmonster I am sure I am less flexible than you and my boobage is so big some poses are physically impossible for me. But nonetheless yoga gives me so much joy and I miss it. But have to take it easy as adding in additional exercise now is not the way to go. i do loads of breathing though and practice my sandkrit chant which I find very calming.

starky rules are meant to be broken!
