Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird/Ovibitch) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 9 , Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat, I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

Loving all the pet photos everyone!!

I'm checking in today. Cd 35now. Ovia is helpfully pulling my Jan fertile week back to make it look like we only dtd once during the green zone! I have had cycles this long before. But also do occasionally (about once per year) have a random 50-60 dayer. Maybe this is one of those?

Going to resume dtd and assume AF missed me off her list this month.

No symptoms to speak of. The smell of my coffee made me feel ill this morning but i think that's because of my cold. Spotting has completely stopped after two and a bit days when AF supposedly due.

ic tests all whiter than the daz doorstep challenge!!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 03/02/2016 21:19

Ovia is a bitch latin she's already started on me with "excersize and sunlight are good for you" and "gas is a sign of early pregnancy" gas is also a sign you should crawl out my my arse, ovia! I have wind 98% of the time!

I would definetly encourage 2 opk's a day, one mid afternoon and one early evening. And because I've done on every day, I've managed to keep on top of it, whereas last month, because they were different opk's to ones I'd used two years precious when I was tracking after I came off depo injection I was so confused, missed a week over Christmas and worked myself up because I didn't understand them or my cycle at all. So completely missed my fw, but thought I'd had two lh surges. Now I've tracked every day, I think I must have a fairly high level of lh anyway which only fluctuates around the time that I actually ovulate, assuming the tests are correct!

I was a nursery nurse/ta many moons ago, I loved it. Grin

I've had a crazy day at work so checking into this thread tonight and seeing all the cute pup/other pet pics has made my night.

I'm still waiting for AF to appear but cramps have ramped up tonight so pretty sure I'll wake up to it tomorrow morning. Something to look forward to...

latinata · 03/02/2016 21:04

Starky, thanks for the pic (you should be a teacher!!)- makes me tempted to opk twice a day this cycle as last month I basically had no lines, then two days of lines which weren't particularly dark but I took as the world's most positive sign before they disappeared again!!

And now Ovia is telling me my luteal phase is only 7 days long, ie not long enough to actually get preggo, so yeah, thanks Ovia. Not sure you'll be around this time in a month!!

Co5mo · 03/02/2016 20:12

Don't worry Elle I don't have a test in the house and I'm going to be far too busy tomorrow to go to a shop to buy one. I'm pretty certain AF will visit so I won't be wasting any money anyway.

ElleSarcasmo · 03/02/2016 20:09

Oh just caught up and saw all the other pets! I ❤️ Them all!

Don't listen to her Co5mo!

Thanks for the OPKs Starky, loving the highlighted peaks!

Kat my boobs are traumatised at the thought of being iced! Hope your neck is on the mend.

Co5mo · 03/02/2016 19:58

Getting in on the pet pics... My chicks in their run. This was the day I brought them home when they weren't allowed to fully free range. Couldn't take a pic today as one of them is moulting and to those not educated in poultry welfare she looks a little neglected read scraggy scruffy mess because the daft bird decided to moult at the coldest time of year.

Waving from the back of the bus twiddling my fingers waiting for AF to arrive. 12 dpo so guess who's telling me to test. At this stage last month I was already cramping but AF expected somewhere between tomorrow and Saturday. Absolutely zero symptoms to report.

Oh Pug! I ❤️ Frank! He is just gorgeous! He looks so pleased with his birthday cake. I would so love to have a pug to cuddle.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 03/02/2016 19:54

I want to make fairy cakes now.

I've attached a pic with my opk's on. From the day after af, to yesterday, so like two and a bit weeks total. The red spots are my peak, then the yellow is the positive, and the green is just after the surge. Thought it might be helpful for anyone wondering about line progression with test to control darkest ratio. They're all dry, so are paler than they were at the time of taking them but thought anyone using opk's might find it interesting. I'm going to keep doing one a day till af so I can see what happens.

Oh ladies I had to laugh today. I'm 9dpo and am desperately checking CM to see if it's stayed creamy indicating possible upduffedness...third time checking today and I thought "hmm it's creamy, but there's not much there" Then the realisation "Oh hang on...I've probably scooped it all out already with all my poking!!!"

Was having cramps at 7dpo but nothing at 8 or 9. Bbt dip today (implantation dip?)...trying to prepare myself for the worst

Ps...I liked this page on FF showing bbt charts for people who got upduffed www.fertilityfriend.com/courses/lesson.php?p=1;17;0;0

KatOnATinRo0f · 03/02/2016 19:12

Hahaha!!! I wondered where u were going with that, stark! A way of tempting DH into bed.... Buttercream boobs!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 03/02/2016 19:02

Ooooh kat she's goooooorgeous! I LOVE me some 'huahua! She could play with my two little muppets! They would frolick and generally do chihuahua shit! Coco is not licky, but Nach licks everything! So does his big bro who is my dad's best boy

OP posts:
StarkyTheDirewolf · 03/02/2016 18:59

kat I have iced my boobs before now! With ice in a bag, not like, buttercream! And you can do it if your breast feeding too, so it's totally safew! You poor bugger though, that sounds horrendous! How are you feeling now?

jam super cute bunny! And I agree! Dtd every other day (which is now what we've gone back to after the madness of ovulation-- is good! The great sperm race seems to have had a profound effect on many of our dh's! Mine told me he "tried to jizz harder...so they came from further back...you know, so they're fresher" so he's literally trying his hardest! Grin

Sorry to hear about everyone's anxiety issues ThanksThanks I think it's much more prevalent than most people realise.

I don't have a pet right now but my mum has the smallest chihuahua I've ever seen. She's good for snuggles but she mainly tries to lick you. She's nn Beana, or Bea... Long story as they always are. Not even similar to her "actual" name! Ha

Just checking in- loving the pet pics!
This thread moves so fast, I've been skim reading but just can't keep up! I left my family choc lab when I moved out to live with DH but I've got a rabbit called Bilbo!

CD 13 but I'd decided not to think too much about trying and symptom spotting and just go with the flow but just discovered Ive produced about 10 peoples worth of EWCM today so I guess I'm getting there!

DH and I decided to just DTD every other day this month regardless and even though I was knackered last night, he was like "come on! These boys won't be at their best if they're more than 48 hours old! We need to reset the clock!"
(He clearly made notes whilst watching the sperm race program!)

Just catching up on today so I'm sorry if my comments are lagging behind.

I need some sympathy... I had NO SLEEP due to my sodding neck it was so bad it woke me up when I moved... Anyway not about that, about this: I had my massage, but booked to see the chiropractor first as i could feel I wasn't in the right place. My AF is due 7th. I have pre-AF boobs (they are still only a B but they HURT) he had me lie on my front and pressed REALLY hard onto my back. My boobs are still hurting! I'm icing my neck but can ice my boobs

... Wait maybe I can??

Such im going to check out some of those podcasts. I have made a "podcasts" page in my bulletjournal to write down things I want to check out!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 03/02/2016 18:39

She's very good, she does the same thing as she's doing on that picture which is to cwtch in her arms and legs and nestles her head in the crook of your arm. Nacho is a different story, he is a wriggly little bugger, and slightly heavier, like a small hairy toddler? I have learned, I cannot brew up whilst holding Nacho! I have absolutely no doubts that if I got a sling now, Coco would quite happily sit in it.

Mileypup is so lovely and smiley! What a happy face! 🐶🐕🐩

That's so cute Shock There are insufficient emojis for me to express myself fully here!

How do you on with brew plus dog baby?

I have a name list, DH finds that level of planning alarming. He's a counting chickens when they've hatched kind of guy ... (Yawn)

StarkyTheDirewolf · 03/02/2016 18:14

And she weighs 2.7 kg (just under 6 lb) about the same as a small newborn, so I've been practicing brewing up whilst holding her! Grin

OP posts:
StarkyTheDirewolf · 03/02/2016 18:09

jem that's why we've started a baby name list now! Before it is something we even need to think about! We've pretty mucheap settled on a boys name, well no, we've settled on a first name, middle names are still up for discussion. And we keep going back and forth on girls names! Soo many are off limits!

Haha that's my little Bean, she's a chihuahua, I never thought she'd stay so small! If she was a person she'd be that sassy, bitchy girl in your class when you were 14 who always had good hair and an attitude but never got in trouble from the teachers! Grin

SuchaJem · 03/02/2016 18:00

Omg and coco!! I didn't even realise that was a dog at first. What a little cutie Smile

SuchaJem · 03/02/2016 17:58

fxskip what's a Bombay?

Absolutely agreed on our anxious tendencies and superior intellect :)

moggy thanks your kitty sounds gorgeous too. Hahaha at black beauty that sounds about right. Surely sugar cubes are one of the last things you give a horse.

starky death count in my vag!!! It's like no mans land in there. There's an unexpected level of violence and death in ttc.

Can't begin to list all names smox has but they include bobbin, Bobby popcat, poppy, grandpa (I know) shmooshk and shmooshka, Lord smoxinald, maximus the puss, pickle, pickle pie...

God. If or when we have a baby it's not going to stand a chance is it

StarkyTheDirewolf · 03/02/2016 17:44

And aww jemmoggy is so cute! I would have named him Cosmic Creepers (bedknobs and broomsticks) but he certainly looks like a Max to me!

Can't remember if I've shown you all Coco, she has many names: Beany baby, Boobles, Squidgy, Smoo, Bella.

Starky thank you for that orcs image. That's going to make dtd tonight a rather different and more cinematic experience. Confused (What in this analogy is the Balrog?! Frightened!!)
