Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird/Ovibitch) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 9 , Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat, I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

Yes ever! this has gone through my mind too. I'm also on cycle 3. I know I'm not actually going to give up, I like a challenge tormenting myself and since trying it's made me realise even more that I really do want it. Has it done the same for you?

Obviously if its just not meant to be we will fill our house with lots more kittys and a dog and be grateful for our lot but I'll be giving it a good go first! feels exhausted at the thought of bonking non stop for next 2 years

Evergreen15 · 04/02/2016 07:46

Hello lovely ladies
Ahhh it is so hard to catch up with messages quick enough!
But I am pleased to see we are still carrying on with our wee wees and tmi.
I am still suffering the visit of AF. And absolutely exhausted.
I am struggling with this winter, I need sunshine!!!!
And also, even though this is only Cycle 3, starting to want to give up on this TTC business. It is just too exhausting. The wait, the emotions, all the dtd when you have to do all the effort as DP could not care less about sex...
Rant rant rant. Anyone else feeling they might just give up? I think I could be happy without kids? Could I?

Co5mo · 04/02/2016 06:40

Starky I love a good bit of wool. When I'm stuck for inspiration I go and loose a few hours of my life on Ravelry. No need for inspiration here right now; all my friends babies get the same knitted present (varied by wool choice) and I have three queued to make right now. Just need to order the yarn.

Still waiting for AF and ignoring Ovia shouting at me to test. Might be having mild cramps but it could be wind or I could be making it up.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 04/02/2016 03:20

It's confusing me to be sure latin I can't quite work it out. I always thought always being the last 8 weeks, when I have read every thing about ovulating ever written that it was max 36 hours after positive opk. I'm ignoring this new bollocks about 72 hours as it will only serve to wind me up!

In other news, I'm having very mild af cramps.

OP posts:
latinata · 04/02/2016 02:29

Right, well if it is 72 hours then I have a luteal phase of like 5 days and am basically foo-ked!

Stardusty, send us your pics of pee- on-a-towel from CD10 onwards and we'll tell you when you're at peak fertility. Could be the thing we're all missing!

I've just had a tiny nose bleed, which feels like my body extra determined to underline that I have blood coming out of several orifices. Yeah. Got it.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 04/02/2016 01:26

www.babyhopes.com/articles/intercourse-after-positive-ovulation-test.html

I've just found this article, which suggests you can ovulate up to 72 hours after a positive opk....72 hours?...I can't capitalise number but 72 bloody hours! I was up to 36 a minute ago! Wtfs 'baby hopes and dreams website' And now I'm stressing that I didn't dtd enough, or I should have covered my cases and dtd on Tuesday too. So obviously now I'm completely convinced I missed my egg this cycle. 😂

It also contradicts everything else I've read about not needing to lie down with a pillow under the bum to help sperm travel. So yes, flummoxed. 😬

ni this YouTube video is exactly how I feel about your gorgeous moggy!

I'm worried about you poking holes in your cervix! Maybe you could do it with an ear bud? To lessen the chance of you hurting yourself! I was going to get a cat! My next door neighbour at the time had a beautiful ginger lion cat I can't remember the breed and he used to come chill with me while she was out. (We had a tiny little courtyard and we'd both leave our back doors open) I'd wake up in the summer and he'd be on my bed 😁 it was sheer chance I found my Beany baby, but I'm so glad I got her, she was the light of my life for about 6 months I'm over dramatic when I was having a bad time!

I've got some new wool and can't decide what I want to make, I'm terribly indecisive tonight. Bet Ovia would be like "struggling to make a decision? 27% of ovia users say they feel indecisive before they get pregnant"

Yvonne it's so devastating and frustrating when OH says no at the important time. On this thread I think we've realised that most OHs don't really understand how important the timing is. Is it possible to explain to your OH that really there's only 3 days in 40 that you stand a chance of getting upduffed? (let's exaggerate just a little bit to prove the point!) So only 27 days in a year you can get pregnant?

Ni4444 · 03/02/2016 22:53

Cervix poke only allowed once a day. Aye aye Captain Stark! I was just so worried I might miss a spot of implantation bleeding!! ... But I know, thanks to the starky oracle, that there's only 30% chance of that anyway!!!

I'm so jealous of the puppy pics-i would give anything to have a dog!!! A cat is only second best for God's sake don't let Phoebe hear me...you know cats...i will be punished if she so much as gets a sniff of not being No 1!

stardusty5 · 03/02/2016 22:50

Haha latinata - if it goes on much longer i might start peeing on my old manky grey towels in the hope it has the same effect. Every cloud..... Grin

Ni4444 · 03/02/2016 22:40

Still catching up, but loving the pet pics!! Here's Phoebe aka the Phoebster or the Phoebinator. Black clothes used to be a smart look...before I got a white long-haired cat!! 😻

Just checking in, thanks again to everyone for supportive responses. Love the pet photos. jem I have a bombay, they are densely furry black cats!

latinata · 03/02/2016 22:23

Yvonne- time for a scented candle and an espresso martini?!

latinata · 03/02/2016 22:23

Mega-lolz at the Daz Doorstep Challenge.

Starks, I shall follow your advice & do OPK twice a day. Thank the good lord for ICs!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 03/02/2016 22:16

ni thought I'd replied to you ages ago! From now on, only one poke of the cervix a day eh? Unless it's with a penis! If it's with a penis, go nuts! Don't be thinking the worst yet, we must be mentally positive! manic laugh

She is very cute but is also completely bonkers.

The nips are feeling sore this evening, which is a good sign as i only get sore nips when i've ovulated.

No doubt ovibitch will tell me i'm probably pregnant with triplets based on that info.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 03/02/2016 22:13
for funnies. 😂

pug Oh. My. God. I just said "awwwwwww" with so much gusto that Coco looked at me funny! That's so SWEET! I'm done, I literally can't even! 💓💖💕

yvonne all is not lost, a positive opk just suggest that an lh surge is happening, it can be anything from 12-36 hours after. You still have time, don't despair. But possibly kick your Dh in his gooch also! 🌼

Yvonne1986 · 03/02/2016 21:39

That's if we even DTD tomorrow!? So frustrating x

stardusty5 · 03/02/2016 21:37

Yvonne thats really annoying. Hope you catch the egg tomorrow.

stardusty5 · 03/02/2016 21:35

Thanks starky. I've got some opks on order so expecting them in the next few days. Going to take your advice and track every single day this time to try and spot my surge.

I shall have to pop one in my bra for a midday test at work!

Pugmummy87 · 03/02/2016 21:33

Frank has about 20 different nicknames too. I feel sorry for my future child!

All the other pet pictures are so cute. I'm such an animal person, prefer them more to people sometimes.

Not only do we have Frank, we also have Miss Moneypenny who is 4 months old. The ball is the same size as her head!

Yvonne1986 · 03/02/2016 21:33

Hi all

So I'm actually about to cry!!!
TTC since Sept but only on cycle 3 due to really long post pill cycles. Finally got a positive OPK today on CD28 so over the moon then DP tells me he is too tired to DTD Sad probably another 40 days until I OV again so feeling pretty shit! X

StarkyTheDirewolf · 03/02/2016 21:30

star I've had odd ones like that before. Af may yet arrive, or you're upduffed with not enough hcg in your system yet. However, this would be one of those rare times when I would encourage using a frer with fmu if you've still not come on in a couple of days. If you've got any opk's, use one of those first.

banana what cd are you? If it's late on in your cycle yellowy/creamy cm is a good sign. But it could mean either af or pregnant because mother nature is properly helpful like that

OP posts:
Bananarma · 03/02/2016 21:24

Hi ladies tmi question I'm afraid.
Wiped downstairs and saw what I can only describe as a yellowish green blob of cm.

Any takers?

Of the question....not the blob.
