Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird/Ovibitch) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 9 , Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat, I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

Morning everyone!!!!! Will post list in a minute.
I crochet blanketS. I have made 3 that are in use for me, baby blankets for gifts (about 5 or 6 so far). I have one blanket I started making over a year ago but didn't go back to (got bored... Single colour 3 round grannies join-as-you-go) have started two temperature blankets this year. Had some random slightly thinner wool (4-ply not DK that I normally use) so started making Victorian lattice lacy squares to make a lightweight throw with that- plan to do a lacy braided join (I've literally done 3 squares of that) have made some squares out of a variegated yarn that I want to make a baby blanket but it was only one ball so I need more similar colours to mix up with it, planning a solid cream joining round and border.

Don't ask me to make anything shaped. I can do cushion covers (did 9 with a snowflake on for Xmas presents)

Okay enough about crochet.

I'm due AF on the 7th. No feelings of anything as yet. Boobs not even that tender this month. Not like last month. Def not preg. Didn't dtd enough didn't OPK enough. Haven't used Ovia. Month 6 for me so getting bored now.

Mileymoocow · 05/02/2016 10:44

starky I didn't think of the consequences but it's definitely unlikely to help. Found a 72 piece dessert platter in the freezer the desserts are tiny, promise we bought from asda for boxing day which we forgot about so I'm now looking forward to opening that and eating it all over the next few weeks Grin

Also totally off topic but I was walking the dog this morning and a very rude man pushed past me on his morning jog, was busy checking his fancy sports watch and faceplated over a blown over weelie bin. He then got up, kicked it and told it to fuck off. It has literally made my day 😂😂

StarkyTheDirewolf · 05/02/2016 09:38

elle mainly baby stuff really, little cardigans, blankets, bonnets. Mittens, scarves, hats! Just started off with one 4 mm hook and a couple of balls of wool!

jem no probs mate, if you're looking into Internet cheapies, I recommend the thicker ones 3 mm as opposed to the 2.5 mm as they're much easier to gauge.

miley haha! Well adding pickled cabbage onto an already windy arse is probably not going to stop you honking any time soon Grin But now I want coleslaw! I've already decided me and dsis are having a fry up for tea!

ni sorry about af SadFlowers

starky I'm finding it pretty hilarious but sometimes it's so smelly I try to blame it on the dog. Doesn't work though.

Found myself at the fridge with a fork in a jar of pickled cabbage last night. Apparently when I'm hungry anything is appropriate to eat.

SuchaJem · 05/02/2016 09:06

elle similar to you I think - bit of EWCM but nothing to write home about. Am going to try an OPK later and over the weekend #opkvirgin

starky thanks so much for all your advice - it's so much more helpful when it's from someone else's experience, rather than reading the packet. I am going to check out these Amazon cheapies...

sasse yes to the hire car - that is absolutely my DH job too when it comes to holidays :)

ElleSarcasmo · 05/02/2016 08:55

Thanks Starky. I love scarves! My friend made me an amazing one this year. What do you knitters and crocheters make?

Ni4444 · 05/02/2016 08:54

Oh yeah...bubbly! Great idea ladies!

Stark temps have definitely come down so can't even delude myself that it's not AF!

Kathrino · 05/02/2016 08:53

I'm sorry Ni, that's shitty timing Thanks

StarkyTheDirewolf · 05/02/2016 08:38

Awww ni that sucks, what a letdown, are we sure it's af? What a bloody roller coaster 🍹🍰

miley haha oh Lordy, that sounds like me normally!

elle yep you can crochet scarves. I'll pop a couple of links up for you later this afternoon. Crochet is much easier than knitting to put down and come back to. Only one hook and you can unhook it and put a stitch marker in to save your work.

ElleSarcasmo · 05/02/2016 08:26

Co5mo also meant to say, fx for you testing tomorrow! 🍀

ElleSarcasmo · 05/02/2016 08:24

Sorry about AF Ni-at least you can have a drink after you get moved. Hope move goes ok.

Thanks Co5mo, crochet sounds like it might suit me better! As soon as I start doing something like that I remember something that I need to do, then while I'm up doing that I'll put the washing on...etc etc, so if remembering where you're up to is important I probably won't be great at knitting. Stupid question...can you make scarves with crochet?

Planeteer · 05/02/2016 08:24

Oh ni I'm sorry! ThanksGet to the shops and buy a bottle of champers to open tonight in your new house. Hope today goes ok and isn't too stressful x

Ni4444 · 05/02/2016 08:09

Meh AF has got me early. Bloody sick of this now!

Mileymoocow · 05/02/2016 07:24

co5mo sounds promising! If af is late now, when are you due to test? Even now I still get af cramps and expect there to be blood when I wipe so don't count yourself out over af pains.

ni good luck with the house move and the testing! I had lots of cm coming up to my expected af so that's also a good sign! FX for you both, lovely ladies.

P.s farting gets worse. I'm blimp-like I'm so bloated with lovely smelly gas. Pretty sure OH is on the verge of moving out for the next 8 months 😂 woops.

Co5mo · 05/02/2016 06:48

Good luck with the move today Ni. I'm currently having the am I aren't I debate too. CD 30, last cycle was 27 days (before that 30 days). I think AF was playing knock door run last night because I was cramping but woke up with no cramps and no AF . Heavy slightly tender boobs but similar to last month and no other symptoms so nothing conclusive. I will test tomorrow if AF doesn't knock the door and get let in.

Elle, I learned to knit in the pre-YouTube era so can't really recommend anyone but I'll have a look for you when I get a chance. If you are easily distracted I'd start with crochet. It's much quicker than knitting so you can put your work to a convienient place to stop quicker than you would in knitting. There's nothing worse than having been distracted coming back to your work and not rembering where you were up to.

Kathrino · 04/02/2016 23:29

FX for you Ni and good luck with the house move too. It's the worst so I hope it all goes well and hopefully you'll have some good news to celebrate in your new house!

Lillian, I properly lol'd at juicy week. Don't think I'm ever going to be able to call it anything else again.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 04/02/2016 23:28

I'd use both star cheapy opk's until they start getting darker and then use the clear blue at the same time to see when you get smiley flashy faces. You can compare the two then.

planeteer aww good! I was a bit 'will they want to see a fortnight's worth of things I've dipped in my wee" but I decided it was for the greater good!

latin gosh, I've not had an old fashioned for YEARS! I used to work in a snazzy poncey cocktail bar so learned how to do them all! Now I want a cherry bakewell (disoranno sours and cranberry juice,)

ni all sounding very positive I must say, and the goodest of good luck for a smooth and stress free day tomorrow. Sunday seems like a good day to test, especially if you ovulated earlier

Sorry if I'm missing people, I'm trying to keep up, don't want anyone to think I'm ignoring! 😇

Jem loving the title Chief Organiser of Getting Shit Done. I might order a badge for us all to wear! It's so true. If my DH books a car for our holiday, he's really proud of himself!
We had talked about babies every now and then especially in the last year. Usually it was actually DH who would bring it up "we should really start thinking about kids seriously" and I'd be like "yeah...at some point". So once I got a hang of my cycle and got an OPK positive, I just went to him one night and said "I'm ovulating, wanna have sex?" His response was "Errr, OK." And that was that, we are now officially TTC Grin

ElleSarcasmo · 04/02/2016 22:59

You're not mad Ni! Could be either. Thanks a lot progesterone! Fx for you anyway Flowers

Ni4444 · 04/02/2016 22:51

10dpo. CD28/30-33.

Signs I could be pregnant: exhausted the last few mornings and evenings, cramps on and off this week, thought my CM was more watery than my usual dry pre AF, little bit of backache today, bra strap really tight last two days (but maybe I get that pre AF and never noticed), just spotted bright pink blood on tissue when I went to the loo.

Signs I might not be pregnant: moving house tomorrow so no wonder I'm tired plus stayed late at work a number of days. cramps could be early AF symptoms, temperature seemed to dip this morning which signals AF (but I did get up to the loo 3hours before which makes that temp not very reliable), no tender boobs (I don't really get that pre AF either)

AF at CD32 due Tues but I ovulated earlier at CD18 so was going to test Sunday at 13dpo.

Thoughts? Although I know nobody can really tell me anything!! Just don't want to mention to OH cos he'll say I'm mad, and I don't want to test early. We're frigging moving house tomorrow!!

latinata · 04/02/2016 22:49

Alice, I'm guessing you mean the booze technique, not the near taking of a preggo test when full on period is happening!!

ElleSarcasmo · 04/02/2016 22:38

He sounds like a lucky dog Miley! That sounds lovely for your granda as well. Smile

Jem mine is the same, I feel like I'm driving all of it. I do think he wants kids but just thinks it will happen by itself. I know what you mean about it being lonely (for me it's that he is generally anxious and it fuels it I think, he is generally supportive) but think it is similar for most women I know well enough to chat to about that kind of thing (ie not many!). The men just kind of have to show up!

I did feel a bit horny today and had a tiny bit of EWCM. Negative OPK though. So think it's on its way. Hopefully this weekend as that seems to be the only time we're likely to dtd! How about you?

Evergreen hugs for you, you sound so fed up Flowers. Try to do some nice things and forget about it for a few days if you can?

Ctul your cats are gorgeous! Love the happy purring little faces! Smile 💕

Thanks Co5mo, is there anyone you recommend for tutorials? I will ask my mum if she has some spare needles I can borrow. Which is better if you get easily distracted, crochet or knitting? Grin

Sorry about AF Kathrino and Banana.

I'd definitely want a hospital birth-the idea of giving birth at home totally freaks me out!

Starky oh-very Grin!

First loving the accessorising with the gu ramekin!

Lillian lol at juicy week!!

LillianFullStop · 04/02/2016 22:29

Checking in everyone - loving the pet pictures! I would love a dog but DH and I get home too late and poor pup would be home alone too much during the day. Playing auntie instead to my sisters new cat - a gorgeous Russian blue . Never been a cat person but she's really lovely and affectionate!

Cycle 2 here and I think Feb is a no go for me too. Busy work month so I'd bet didn't do enough of the DTD in FW. I don't have OPK sticks so I'm only guessing it's the week we call 'Juicy week' - we've been calling it that for years even before TTC lol

Meant to be testing Feb 11 but have no symptoms to speak of yet. sigh

AliceScarlett · 04/02/2016 22:22

latinata good middle ground! Excellent technique, I shall steal this when I'm 15dpo Grin

Kathrino · 04/02/2016 22:06

Stardust, I've skipped a period before and then the next one turned up without any probs. I did ask my doc at the time because I was on some dangerous meds at the time and he just shrugged and said it happens sometimes. FX for this month!

I think it's time to open the vino WineWineWine
