Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird/Ovibitch) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 9 , Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat, I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

starky i haven't as no positive opks. Might do next week if no AF

Planeteer · 05/02/2016 15:23

I quite liked the name Hugh. It may be spurned now it has the association of clandestine foof-lurker...

SuchaJem · 05/02/2016 15:06

fxskip quality sex is key? Is that true? I mean Christ are these eggs picky or what?!

SuchaJem · 05/02/2016 15:05

Hahaha I'll have a look and see if Hugh is about later on. Perhaps he might lead the sperm in the right way for me?

StarkyTheDirewolf · 05/02/2016 14:54

Ammendment : If your cervix is soft, HIGH and open...not Hugh, although I hope there's no one called Hugh up there, fuck knows who he is, he'd have had to crawl in a while ago.

Ha ha starky you never fail to make me lol!! I'm knackered, my skin is an actual bombsite, all of my skin feels tender and I am cranky as f*ck. AF, hurry up or sod of for good, I don't care right now, I am just done with the cramping, the am I, aren't I.... On a better note, I watched the Sperm Race last night, and aside from the cringy acting (I much prefer the real biology-lab images), I really liked it. I particularly liked the inference that better quality sex is key - I am convinced that the real-life 'accidental' pgs happen because the couple is just into having good sex, rather than having a nagging concern at the back of their minds. Doesn't help any of us though!!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 05/02/2016 14:47

jem basically, if your cervix is soft, Hugh and open, it's a sign you could be ovulating. If it's hard (in comparison) and low, then you're not. It changes according to different times in your cycle. m.wikihow.com/Feel-Your-Cervix I'm not a very good cervix checker, I forget to do it often enough for it to make no real sense to me. I may start doing it next cycle.

I didn't even realise it was scented as such, it was just purple and laced with itching powder Im quite sensetive with my skin anyway so it was my own daft fault really!

OP posts:
SuchaJem · 05/02/2016 14:22

starky your poor foof. Scented loo roll doesn’t seem quite right.

kathrino I feel fortunate now that our office loo roll is white! Flecked is a total mindfield.

Can someone please explain to me why checking the cervix is a thing? What are we looking for?

StarkyTheDirewolf · 05/02/2016 14:09

Have you pregnancy tested today first ? If no af I'd definitely have a go with fmu. Cycles are so weird! I'm 6 dpo and feeling nothing! My wind has disappeared well, I'm back to a normal level of wind and other than that, nowt! Haven't been checking cm and am thinking of stopping doing opk's now, even though I love them!

indi hope you're feeling less knackered soon! It's all for a good cause!
kat you're not out yet, I feel like ttc is a lot more boring than I'd anticipated, it's just a lot of waiting about and wondering!

Mileymoocow · 05/02/2016 14:06

Omg hormones. There's a woman sitting at the desk next to me breathing so heavily and chewing like a cement mixer. I want to scream!!!!!!

Also backache can fuck off. Shitty mood blaaaaatghuhfyfj still laughing at rude jogger

Kathrino · 05/02/2016 13:58

Ooh dark toilet paper is genius Jem. I don't think I've ever spent so much time looking at loo roll as I have in the last few weeks. The stuff we have in the office actually has little flecks of red (and blue) in it which has given me false hope on a couple of occasions but I think is just because they buy the recycled stuff.

Thanks for the list update Kat. Now that I'm out for this month, I can focus all my energy on getting excited for the rest of you on the Fab Feb bus! Hopefully soon the grads list will be longer than the list of testers!

firstgo1984 · 05/02/2016 13:51

Achey boobs replaced by sensitive nipples. Cd42.... any thoughts? (Almost positive opk 10 days ago and ewcm the day after that)

StarkyTheDirewolf · 05/02/2016 13:40

Jem I completely agree! I actually went so far as to buy the darkest purple toilet paper I could find beginning of December, but it was 'scented' too and my nethers where not impressed, they threw a hissy fit and I had some kind of allergic reaction! And a swollen flange was not condusive to being sexy and alluring! So I went back to white quilted!

SuchaJem · 05/02/2016 13:12

CM toilet paper theory / business plan. I struggle to really see what's going on with the CM! Keep checking and wondering if I'm getting the good EWCM stuff. The whiteness of the toilet paper hinders the inspection however! I think we need dark blue or black loo roll for contrast?

StarkyTheDirewolf · 05/02/2016 13:07

It was shelb who created thread 1, I think I was about the third poster on it. Started in September, it took me till December to bully get Dh to agree to ttc! I thiiiiink most if not all of the Regs on thread 1/2 are on the grads thread. I'm bringing up the rear! But most of the girls started in october/November. I just nominated myself team captain delusions of grandeur because i was always the new thread creator. Grin

miley that rude jogger story had me lol-ing! Proper guffaw! Haha just deserts are served with a wheelie bin!

Yvonne1986 · 05/02/2016 11:56

That's so positive I sometimes feel like it never happens but it obviously does! FX for more BFPs soon x

KatOnATinRo0f · 05/02/2016 11:54

Crochet is so much easier then knitting imo... You drop a stitch you just pick it back up and no holes made! And you can do whatever shape you want. I'm sure you can do everything with knitting I just have never been able to do it (only tried as a kid/teen, maybe I could do it now). I would love a soft knitted blanket. Maybe when I'm pregnant I shall learn. So I can make baby clothes. Knotted clothes just work a lot better than crocheted I think.

Yvonne yup these are the bfp's we've had on this thread since it started in ?? September ?? October??
Who was the starter of the thread? I feel like it was stark as she is like thread monitor. (In a good way!!)

IndiX · 05/02/2016 11:52

Yeah just saw the list after I posted plant..life is basically the same just I'm even more neurotic than when I was TTC! I have not stopped poas-ing haha and I am tempted to get a clear blue digital so I can see the word pregnant! Only symptoms are sore massive boobs and I get to about 3pm and I am EXHAUSTED. Apart from that just super excited and focussing on my health, food and fitness.
Sending all the upcoming tester my love and luck, can't wait to see more of you on the grad thread xx

Feefeefs · 05/02/2016 11:43

Sorry about AF ni very frustrating. At least it came rather than prolonging the not knowing.

That's so funny about that man and the wheely bin miley. I don't know what LMP is?

I like knitting can only really make fairly basic thing s but would love to have a go at crochet

Planeteer · 05/02/2016 11:22

New list has just gone up indi. How are you feeling? Fill us in on life on the other side of the ttc mania!

Yvonne1986 · 05/02/2016 11:21

Are graduations the people who have a BFP? That's great to see so many if so Grin x

IndiX · 05/02/2016 11:15

Hi ladies, hope everyone is well! I haven't been able to catch up and you girls speed through these threads!
Anyone testing? Could anyone please summarise?

SuchaJem · 05/02/2016 11:09

miley mega lol at your rude man wheelie bin story :)

Thanks for the list kat no symptoms might not mean you are out. Fingers crossed for no AF for you.

Also, question. LMP from the first day of spotting? Or full af? I don't tend to get full af so just spot for a couple of days and have a very light bleed for a day if that.
