Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird/Ovibitch) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 9 , Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat, I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

House move complete...3 days to catch up on! This will take a while! Any BFPs?

Evergreen15 · 07/02/2016 23:06

Crhulhoo it absolutely sucks. I also think that this winter is not helping at all. I can feel my depression creeping up on me. Hoping things get better for you and all of us struggling from time to time.

stark i love the sound of your wedding, and I love that you found your dress! What have you done with it after? Mines just in a box. i kind of want to get it out and try it on but i dont think it does up, haha! We had a gorgeous wedding in a tiny chapel next to the sea in Greece, with a big party at a beach bar next door, it was so perfect. DH had to pretty much organise the whole entire thing (well, actually, he did organise the whole entire thing) i gave him some ideas about what i wanted the flowers and food and stuff like, but he was a star and pulled it all off superbly! i was a bit panicked beforehand as there was nothing i could do to help, but it was great. threatened to be rained off (it was completely outside) but the rain turned up at about 3am so it wasn't too bad!!

ct sorry you're feeling a bit rubbish :( life has ups and downs. i know it feels like the downs are worse and longer than the ups but we have to get through it. and everything somehow has an ability to work itself out somehow. i know thats not going to make you feel any better but i can't do very well at these things :-S p.s whats EPO and why are you taking it for TTC? the only EPO i know is what the tour de france cyclists were doing for blood doping?

re: the gym - i havent been for a week as my neck has been so bad. and ive eaten pizza two days in a row this week. UMMMMM next week the healthy plan will kick back in!! my necks feeling a bit better, thank goodness.

my AF still hasn't shown up... really annoying as i want it to hurry up come and go so I can get another FW in soon... it was due today (CD27)... since stopping the pill i had one 28 day cycle, then a 27, then three 26 day cycles (i think... a few days short anyway) so maybe they are just getting longer again. pfft. i didn't mind having shorter ones actually, so just waiting and wondering when its going to show up now!

Cthulhoo · 07/02/2016 17:29

I told OH a couple of days ago that I had had a dip but that my mood seemed to have lifted, but not yet that it had gone down again. I do wonder whether the EPO interacts with the antidepressants which would be annoying because then I brought it on myself.

Thank you, Starky. I've bought a new colouring book and some pens today, and I also treated myself to a new pair of boots. Will do some more work and then have a lazy evening.

SuchaJem, I go to the gym fairly regularly but I think I'll have to up the intensity a bit to get endorphins going.

SuchaJem · 07/02/2016 17:23

starky the sperm machine is a real risk. I will try and DTD outside fw too I think. He does seem to be getting more on board with the whole shebang though which is a relief.

cthulhoo are there other things you can do to try and lift your mood? Exercise is usually a big help for me.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 07/02/2016 17:22

I'm sorry you're struggling cthulhoo depression is a foul beast that gets us when we're least expecting. Be kind to yourself and take care. I'm glad you've told us, have you verbalised to your oh that you're having a dip? What are your plans for this evening? Flowers much love, flowers, cwtches and thinking of you lovely girl Flowers

Just quickly checking in and declaring thread bankruptcy - haven't fully caught up yet. Think depression is rearing its head as my mood has taken a rather sudden and sharp downturn for the last few days (I'm ok, I'm not at risk - just feeling consistently very crappy). Really don't want to up my meds though as I don't think that'll help with ttc. Hmph.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 07/02/2016 17:08

jem I've got a very obliging Dh but I've had to be quite cautious about him not feeling like a spunk machine. I've been making a solid effort to dtd on a regular basis outside of the fw!

So for example, usually between Thursday night to Sunday evening I barely see him (as he's at work/asleep) but I've been waking him up half an hour earlier than I usually would for a cuddle and a quickie. (If I can do it when I'm ovulating I can do it when I'm not).

Not that I don't want to dtd with him normally, but I'd usually leave him to get as much sleep as possible before a night shift so when I wake him there's only time to throw a coffee and some porridge down his neck, have a shower and go to work.

I have however GOT to stop ending dtd by saying "FINISH HIM!" In the style of mortal kombat.

ever glad you've had a good chat with your partner. It does help so much to get things out and talked through.

I feel like we've turned a bit of a corner too - we had a good shag this morning and DH was very obliging for the first time since ttc. Before he was all "This doesn't feel natural all you want me for is my sperm etc etc blah".

CD 14 today and we've DTD Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Will crack on similar next week as have still not POAS and not entirely sure when will ov.

SuchaJem · 07/02/2016 16:51

You poor love ipatches I can't begin to imagine the hurt and pain :( Take good care of yourself and be kind to yourself.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 07/02/2016 16:45

ever it was my Dh that spotted the dress, but didn't see me in it till the day of the wedding!

pyxie I'm so sorry you had to go through that. What a thoughtful and beautifully articulated post. Flowers

I'm so sorry ipatches. I won't say I know how you feel, but I had an early MC in Nov at 6 wks and I can tell you how I felt in case it's any help. I was devastated, and I felt like I couldn't justify feeling so sad about losing a pregnancy so early on, but then I realised that I wasn't just mourning the pregnancy, but also the plans that had come with it - the 12 wks scan, the due date etc. We decided to wait for at least one cycle before trying again, which I found very hard because I just wanted to be pregnant again right away. I was still tracking using opks and I ovulated a week later than normal. For some reason, seeing that positive opk mad me feel a whole lot better. And then once AF came, I felt a lot more positive; it was a brand new cycle. I'm now on my second cycle since the MC and I'm a lot more cautious but I have got most of the excitement back as well. Obviously when I do get that bfp, I'm sure it'll be mixed emotions and the first milestone will be to get past 6 wks. But I'm confident it will happen.
The nurse at the epau told me that 1 in 4 (or even as many as 1 in 3) pregnancies end in early miscarriage. A lot of those will probably go undetected (women thinking it's AF), but unfortunately it's also a taboo subject that people don't like to talk about.

My doctor said to look at the positives - at least I know I can get pregnant. It was a bit insensitive at the time, but I can appreciate it now!

Sorry for the essay!

Hello back Starky!!! [waves] your wedding dress sounds lovely Smile and the party itself as well.
Choc we were having that discussing at work the other day. How big or small engagement party/ wedding say nothing about what the marriage will turn out to be.

I am not married but I would like to marry my DP. He is well aware of this. And now with TTC I would like it as well for the babies sake. I have been here for over ten years but always worry that they will decide to send us all foreigners away one day Sad and that then me and baby will be split up from DP Sad. Everyone says nah!!!! But one does worries.
I am back from hell period hormones and feeling loads more positive. Also spoke to DP regarding sex life and I am relieved SmileThanks

Mileymoocow · 07/02/2016 14:46

starky your wedding sounds absolutely perfect ❤

choc wow. Your OH's ex is like the ultimate psycho.

iPatches · 07/02/2016 14:44

Thanks everyone. Spent literally all of yesterday in tears before pouring wine down my neck. More tears today. I didn't expect to feel like this. It's just to have such a high last weekend of two really clear BFPs, and then the crushing blow that I couldn't even hold onto the pregnancy for a week. I don't know if I'll be okay again. I certainly won't look at TTC with the excitement and optimism I had going into this. Even if I do conceive, all I can see is it being tainted with fear and anxiety that the same will happen.

SuchaJem · 07/02/2016 14:24

Love vanjo kwick

Confusedcat1 · 07/02/2016 14:14

I'm so sorry Ipatches, it must be devastating 😢

StarkyTheDirewolf · 07/02/2016 13:37

kwick I know everyone probably gushes about their own wedding but it really was a lovely day and we were sooo lucky with the weather! Which made a massive difference to the bbq and the general feeling I think.we did all the centrepieces and little bits ourselves. I made a load of bunting and my other grandma and auntie made our cake. Honestly couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!
