Hi ladies,

This is the 2nd thread following on from

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2452018-Waiting-to-try-and-cycle-a-mess-from-the-pill

For everyone who is entering the madness that is Ttc after stopping the pill. Maybe to start the thread we could all post our stats, so we remember where everyone is at and don't have to check the old thread. X

Sorry the witch got you Shan Wine you've got more determination than me though, dont think I could dtd everyday even if I wanted too!

Welcome lawyered Smile hopefully your cycles return to normal for you soon!

Think I might be out soon too, had cramps tonight and just had some Ewcm Confused didn't think you were supposed to get that in luteal stage?? Think I will take an Opk tomorrow and see if I'm having a second fertile week... Maybe I didn't ovulate last time? Bloody body is pissing me off! Angry

lawyeredout82 · 29/01/2016 21:34

Hello ladies! Can I join this group? Here are my stats:

Ttc#2 (DD born Feb 2015)
Age 33
Stopped taking Micronor on 28/12/15

So, DH and I decided that we would like a sibling for our daughter and so I stopped taking the pill in December. No sign of AF yet though I was using clearblue OPKs in January which showed i ovulated around 13/1. I had a small bleed which lasted an hour or so after DTD with DH on 24/1. Been to see GP today who is going to accelerate my next smear test in case it's something similar but she thought much more likely to be hormonal and connected to stopping the pill.

Other than that, feeling very frustrated about what the heck is going on with my body. Periods went back to normal straight away after stopping Cilest when we conceived my DD, raaaagh.

eggsinthefridge · 29/01/2016 21:33

Thanks cn, it has been a tough year. But I started 2016 convinced it was going to happen this year, so I'm going to be positive! My opks have been positive, so I'm taking it at a good sign that it is looking like I'm ovulating! Just to get my cycle length reduced so I can actually be in with a good chance of it happening. My last period was in November!

cnchapmanxx · 29/01/2016 21:32

first ive just decided not to test at all and just go with the flow :) hopefully that might work but will only worry when im a year down the line and havent conceived!

firstgo1984 · 29/01/2016 21:30

eggs just told my oh about getting a semen sample if i have clomid. He didn't seem too phased by that. Says he will do what he needs to.

cn i might just test when i am on nights and wouldn't normally dtd for quite a few days

cnchapmanxx · 29/01/2016 21:25

Hi eggs
sorry about your luck doesnt sound good at all - really do sympathise with you it must be awful - hopefully you get some answers soon keep trying hun it took my friend 2 years just as they were about to go for IVF she conceived! x

cnchapmanxx · 29/01/2016 21:24

defo first i feel like my life revolves out poas and temping. im jsut gonna go with the flow dtd as much as i can - and if i dont come on AF when im due to then il test haha! x

eggsinthefridge · 29/01/2016 21:23

Some clomid would be wonderful firstgo! I hope your telephone consultation goes well. I also need to get DH along to get his semen checked, but I really hope at least one of us is working! I really hope I'm not waiting forever for an appointment at the fertility clinic!

firstgo1984 · 29/01/2016 21:15

cn i am thinking about ditching the sticks too. Going away this weekend and will be glad to have a couple of daya off using them if i am honest.

firstgo1984 · 29/01/2016 21:13

eggs sounds so familiar! I am going to ask for a fertility referral on my telephone consultation next week. No idea what the wait time is but hoping for bloods and uss whilst i wait and semen sample for my husband so that we ahead of the game when we do get there. Sounds like we both need some clomiphene

shankate182 · 29/01/2016 21:05

Hey girls
AF has officially arrived very heavy to :( so the minute i finish I'm TTC every night until next month I won't give ov a chance to sneak by me 😅

eggsinthefridge · 29/01/2016 20:53

Can I join too?

I came off Yasmin January 2015 and my cycle has been very irregular since. Longest had been 70 days (until this cycle, I am currently on CD74) and shortest was about 54 days. I have had 4 sessions of acupuncture to see if anything improves. I have a referral to the fertility clinic, but I have been told this could take a long time, so to be prepared for a wait. I am due to go for day 2 bloods when AF arrives. I had a positive OPK on Tuesday, so expect AF pretty soon, I also think I have a short luteal phase going by a couple cycles I've had a positive OPK and AF arrived 9-10 days later.

I'm a rollercoaster with emotions with ttc stuff. I've tried to relax about it all, which maybe works for a week or two, but then when nothing happens and no AF or no signs of anything going on down there, I start to worry about all the things that could be wrong. I'm currently in a calm, optimistic stage as I think this cycle will be coming to an end soon, but as soon as CD1 I'll be back to the impatient worrier!

cnchapmanxx · 29/01/2016 20:46

Hi girls
Hope everyone is ok!
So ttc #1
Cycle 4
CD 5 today!
My cycles since November have been 28 days until this month where I had AF on the 13th Jan then it appeared again on the 25th Jan. So I'm cycle day 5 now and I've decided to just stop being so obsessed stop pissing on sticks trying to check if I have ovulated and just dtd as often as I can. I think I'm getting to stressed about it all and its having a bad effect on me.. I just need to calm down and stop thinking about it so much! Is anyone else in the same boat? XXXX

Cookie22 · 29/01/2016 19:22

Cheers, nervous! Just had the chance to sit down and read your post. What a tough & agnosing time you've had. I've heard so many Clomid success stories, hoping it helps your cycles a little! What a wait you've had though!! Xx

nervoussam · 29/01/2016 19:13

Thanks, yeah very frustrating! Had tests and my oestrogen is very low, although improved a little bit from the beginning of the year. Had a couple of scans and womb lining is thin and womb small (because of the oestrogen), although what it looks like after this random bleed I don't know! Was supposed to be having a mid month scan a few days after the bleed came on which then I had to cancel due to the changed circumstances. Had day 21 bloods done yesterday but expect they'll show nothing as it's not really day 21 anymore!
Luckily DH had his tests and that's all ok, just need to sort me out! Fed up of waiting around though!
Just had a gin and going to have a wine too! Might as well while I can! Cheers ladies!

firstgo1984 · 29/01/2016 19:06

sunny i expect you ate thinking of provera

Cookie22 · 29/01/2016 17:33

^^that should say that it's cycle 3 of TTC, didn't actually start 'trying' until after my 56 day cycle. Having a hard earned wine tonight and perhaps my guilty pleasure, a Glayva orange whiskey- why not!! Xx

Sunnydays321 · 29/01/2016 17:32

Also isn't there another medication they give to initiate a bleed (not progesterone)?? I know others have had it pre clomid to initiate a bleed before they can take clomid.

Good luck with GP first! X

Sunnydays321 · 29/01/2016 17:31

Welcome nervoussam, oh bless you that sounds absolutely awful!! Have you had fertility tests done? I know its hard if you don't have any kind of cycle at all as they have to be interpreted on particular days. I really hope the clomid works for you.. Might just take a while to wake your body up. We are here to hand hold. The first time I came off my pill about 5 years ago i didn't have a period for 10 months (I know that's nowhere near as bad!) but I know what a long wait is like.

Shan hope it's not your period, although silver lining: if it is your period that's amazing that they have settled back to normal so quickly... Many wait 6+ months to get any kind of normal cycle. X

Hi everyone!

TTC #1
Cycle 3
CD 16
Previous cycle lengths: 37, 56, 34, 33
No sign of ov yet! Worried that I have a very short luteal phase & trying b6/Agnus Castus/Anything else to prolong it & regulate my cycles!!

So sorry to hear of AF New Girl & Shan. She's such a witch Sad we need some more Bfps - let's hope this is a lucky thread for us!! Xx

shankate182 · 29/01/2016 15:25

Well if it is AF my app is right and my cycles are back to normal soon il catch next month cycle 1 was 29 days and this cycle was 30 days so next month hopefully il catch it I'm so depressed right now but thinking positive for next month and that fact I'm ovulating normal an my app is spot on

Yvonne1986 · 29/01/2016 15:07

Oh no hope it's not AF ShanKate

That's good advice Firstgo hopefully your GP will agree xx

firstgo1984 · 29/01/2016 14:43

Boooo shankate

shankate182 · 29/01/2016 14:35

Update just went to the toilet and I have some brownish discharge really sticky stuff ? Af could have arrived 😢😢😢

firstgo1984 · 29/01/2016 13:40

Had a chat with one of the fertility nurses yoday. Advised getting my bloods done at the start of next cycle and asking for an US. She also said I could ask to be referred now as my cycles are getting longer as i may need some clomid to get me ovulating more regularly. GP phone consultation now on 11th Feb (had to change it due to work) but that will be before my next period.

Hope my gp agrees!
