The craziness that is TTC after stopping the pill. On this thread we have 100 day cycles, do weeks of opks and send ovia into a fit with our ever changing fertile windows! Welcome.

Hi ladies,

This is the 2nd thread following on from

For everyone who is entering the madness that is Ttc after stopping the pill. Maybe to start the thread we could all post our stats, so we remember where everyone is at and don't have to check the old thread. X

How many days POV are you Chapman? FX it's still to early!

That does seem strange First fx for both of you its just an effect from coming off the pill xx

Hey girls my ma was one cerezze pill for 3 years and she found a lump and was referred to breast clinic she was diagnosed with breast cancer in September which is why I had to come off if as a new strand in the family I was only on it 2 months so I came off it and DH and I decided to try so hope to God and FX it's nothing serious girls not trying to scare ye just taught I'd let ye know :)

Just seen the GP and she has referred me to breast clinic. weird how this is both of us!

first im hoping its just got something to do with coming off my pill! we shall find out on monday!

tested on one of them superdrug tests and a bfn. so dont even know if i ovulated at the end of jan or im testing to early. i have no symptoms of AF or PG at the moment apart from my boobs feel like they about to knock someone out. hate not knowing were i am. going to try save that test now til monday and leave it at work so im not tempted tomorrow!

cn i had a bit of a lump appear during my last 2ww it then disappeared. It's kinda back again now after my ovulation.

I'm fairly sure because it comes and goes it's related to hormones. Especially as it appeared when i think i had loads of oestrogen around before my ovulation. My boobs were really sore for a few days and my nipples really sensitive. I will get it checked over though.

Planeteer I'm going to super drug today on my dinner to get my eyebrows threaded so il pick up a frer! I haven't darent tested this Morning on my cheapie sticks I genuinely think il be waiting til the 21st Feb then the fkin witch will show up! Any ways dtd tonight sat and sun just to cover all bases! Hope everyone is ok xxx

Hi Chapman, I went through the same thing last month, found a lump Xmas eve, referred to breast clinic, scan fine, they did a fine needle biopsy (really is nothing to worry about, local anaesthetic didn't feel a thing), mine was just fatty tissue. But My lump really hurt, and took 2 full cycles to stop hurting ... Think the pain was hormonally linked cos now since 2nd af lump is still there but pain gone. Good luck, and don't worry about it, they were lovely and got results quickly. Have a big glass of wine! It can't hurt potential babies. I had 3 last night, woops. Very sadly At a funeral today so there will no doubt be more wine tonight. Xx

V quick message to send hugs chapman . Don't pay too much attention to the cheapie tests. They do work but are looooads less sensitive than other types. My crazy dark positive on a superdrug test came up much fainter on a cheapie stick (yep... Had to test multiple times to make sure haha!)
Hope the clinic visit isn't too stressful and that you have an ace birthday. Could you put ttc out of your mind for a few days and let your hair down? Xx

Oh poor you Chapman I had a lump in my breast a few years ago which turned out to just be a cyst but always better to get it checked I hope your now waiting too long for your clinic appointment!

I would definitely bin the cheapy tests I don't think it's worth the stress although I did pee on an OPK today I don't know what I was expecting!!! It was negative!

I'm going to have a glass or two with dinner on Sat as its too early to test! X

Hahaha your the same as me doll! I get thus lump in my throat when it's bfn!
I don't really drink that often but as its my birthday I might have a few at the weekend!
The 2ww is so long I feel like it's the longest 2 weeks of my life! Fx for all of us we deserve some luck xxxxx

yvonne thanks Hun so technically if it's 36 hours Tuesday really could of been the day i should count as 1dpo so if that's the case il only be 9dpo! Feel so crap at the moment I found a lump in my boob so been referred to the breast clinic. My boobs feel so heavy there not sore though. Would love a bfp to cheer me up! How long is the 2ww though it's horrible!!

Ovia told me to test today so I did. The liar haha! Think I'm just gonna have to test every day until AF!! Xxx

Aww Yvonne I'm totally with you on the wine! I have a bottle chilling in the fridge but feel like I should resist tenptation this weekend, just incase! DH wants us to go for a curry & drinks on sat, might just take the car! Xx

Aww FX it's just too early and the Superdrug one picks it up Chapman! I was also wondering about the dpo counting too. I think it was Sunny that mentioned that the day you ov is technically 0dpo and following day is 1dpo. I got my peak last Tues so counted Weds as ov day and Thurs as 1dpo! I feel like I've been waiting far longer than 8dpo! Oh I so know what you mean about the crappy ICs! I have a batch of 40 in my drawer and decided to try one this morning. Obv a negative but couldn't resist Grin I knew it'd be negative but still spent about half an hour tilting it under a lamp, shining my phone on it, walking away and going back to it #weirdo Blush xx

I don't count the day of positive OPK Chapman as it can be up to 36hours so I start the next day which was last Thurs so I'm now 7dpo I think!! So FX it was too early to test especially with a cheapy!!

Cookie I'm the same its the first TWW I've really dreaded the arrival of AF it does get harder each cycle I've already got the wine ready to cheer if I don't get my BFP this cycle xx

cookie I did a test on them cheapy shite ones and it was bfn. If I did ov and I caught then I would be 11 dpo today or do you count the day of your positive opk as 1dpo? If that's the case surely by now it would of picked it up on them cheapie ones?? I'm getting my eyebrows done tomorrow in the town so I'm gonna get super drug one! I would love to know what's going on with my body! Either AF or bfp!!! 😡😡

Chapman do a test do a test lol! I turn into an impatient so & so during the tww hehe! I def think you should perhaps do a frer within the next few days incase you ov'd that time you got your positive OPKs! Fx for you Mrs!

Well I'm 8dpo and feeling so nervous/scared that AF will show! It's at this point over the last few months that AF has arrived after ov. Hoping that if I've caught this month that my luteal phase lasts long enough to keep it in! Feeling so worried that I'll waken during the night with the arrival of the witch. No sign yet so FX!!

Still getting lots of CM and (Tmi alert) been feeling increasingly 'wet' down there, ahh! It's so strange how much more attention I pay to my body/knickers/toilet tissue throughout this TTC journey!

Ovia is telling me to take a test today but im scared! Dtd on sun and tues so will do it again tonight in preperation for me OV this week just incase.
Then il have to wait until the 21st to test if i dont come on AF before then. Hate waiting!! xx

For anyone interested this is my ovary that i think I ovulated from. The larger cystic structure i think is a corpus luteum as it is not nice and circular in shape like the follicle would have been pre-ovulation

This video was recommended on another thread, it shows how incredibly difficult it is for sperm (makes you feel sorry for them). It also really helped me to relax more knowing getting a bfn isn't necessarily something we're doing wrong 🙂

Aw planteer, I'm laughing at you "herd of humans" in you uterus comment! The hug doubles every 2 days so once af is late lots do get dark lines. Some people with multiples get darker lines and some don't so don't worry. How long ago was your positive opk?

Shanskate, I know it is really frustrating but even if you dtd at the right time each month... Ie everyday for the whole fertile window, there is still only a 20% chance of conception with each cycle. As Yvonne said, it's a difficult journey for the sperm, some eggs aren't as good as others, even if they do fertilise they don't all implant... It's a difficult complicated job making a human! Watch the really interesting documentary that was on the bbc about 6 months ago, something like body works, about all the millions and millions of things that have to go right to make a baby.... It makes me think It's a wonder any of us are even here! Lol. Xx

Yeah I try and DTD a few days before then the day of positive OPK and a few days after but tbh I may not be the best person to ask due to my lack of BFP Shock lol xxx
