Hi ladies,

This is the 2nd thread following on from

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2452018-Waiting-to-try-and-cycle-a-mess-from-the-pill

For everyone who is entering the madness that is Ttc after stopping the pill. Maybe to start the thread we could all post our stats, so we remember where everyone is at and don't have to check the old thread. X

Aw cookie seems like she was patronising you maybe you could try another doctors Hun?? She probably has kids and conceived within the first month sometimes they can't see it from your point of view!! 🖕🏻
Yeah babe it was amazing was a surprise he booked it for my birthday was mega good I ate like a gooden and walked for miles! Just thought I needed time away from all this ttc business! And fx trying not to get my hopes up as u know what it's like when AF shows! Xxxxx

Cookie22 · 08/03/2016 21:03

Glad the ball is rolling with your gynae appointment! Hope your ov approaches soon too so you can get your other bloods checked. It's a frustrating time being in limbo and not knowing what's happening Sad

Chapman, your break away in Rome sounds heaven! Glad you enjoyed it hun. Your nipple pain sounds promising! Here's hoping!!

Well my doctor pretty much fobbed me off completely yesterday. She ruled out PCOS even though no tests or examinations were done, which I thought was strange. She also said that I'm still young and should try to relax and not stress about it. I found the whole thing quite demoralising. I'm 28 so I wouldn't class myself as particularly 'young' (in my opinion!). I don't even think my age should come into the equation - my cycles are a mess, I want to start a family NOW, not in 5/10 years time (which I felt she was implying). She did say to come back in May time for blood tests if nothing has improved cycle wise. We'll see Sad sorry for the rant ladies!! Xx

Hi girls!

Mega sorry i have not been on here for ages but like cookie i got mega down last month about AF showing and ive been quite busy with work! Me and the DH went to Rome last week for a city break and it was amazing! So relaxing and not a care in the world what we needed really! So anyway i have done no p*ssing on a stick this month we just dtd when we wanted and it was so nice as no pressure. Im due on a week today only thing i am feeling is severe nipple pain in my left boob at the point where i cant touch it. but apart from that nothing im hoping me not stressing out might work haha!

how is everyone??

Nearing! Not bearing.

Thank you cookie and bobo for being so lovely. I do feel better now. Got a letter in the post yesterday to phone and make my gynae appt, not sure how long the waiting list will be but at least the ball is rolling. Still no sign of ovulation... A bit annoying mainly because I want to get my progesterone and hba1c bloods done before gynae appt but need to wait til 7dpo. I keep reminding myself that when I came off pill I was expecting it to take 10 months for me to have a period... Like last time... Which takes me up to April, so we always said anything before then was a bonus. It's just a long time when you are actually in it!

How is everyone else?

We must have some bearing end of tww now?

X

Sunny, sending hugs your way hun! You're perfectly within your rights to be feeling down & you've had an overly stressful month. We all need a wee cry every now & then so don't be feeling guilty about that. We're always here if you want to vent your frustrations! I can totally empathise with how tour DH is viewing things! My DH is very naive about the whole thing & seems to just think it'll happen soon enough & (although he doesn't say it) probably thinks I'm making a fuss over nothing. I know my body though and I know that something just isn't right. Like you, I've been getting strong pelvic pain since coming off the pill, particularly around the time ovulation would be due. I just know this is isn't right & it's worrying me! I think us girls just have a natural intuition with these things! Stay positive chick (that's what I'm trying to say to myself!) xx

BoBo90 · 07/03/2016 07:14

Flowers Sunny, you've had a really crap month so you are perfectly entitled to a good cry! Hopefully the gynae appointment will provide new information and help you stress less.
It can be frustrating when your Dh says things like that, mine does the same. I think in man logic that's a comforting thing to say but in reality it is soooo not! That's men for you Hmm

I really hope things get better for you and your body starts behaving itself!

It's a fresh week, who knows what will happen Smile x

Sunnydays321 · 06/03/2016 21:00

Cookie, definitely best to speak to go for advice. Iv got show lp 7-9 days, and just had pcos confirmed on scan, awaiting gynae appt. best to get the ball rolling with these things. But fingers crossed you don't have anything and it just puts your mind at ease.

I feel very hormonal today, grumpy and weepy and stressy. Not for any particular reason. Iv had a lovely weekend! I snapped at dh about something that wasn't his fault earlier (now I feel bad). Now I have crept upstairs into bed to have a little cry to myself. Proper sobbing into my pillow type crying! For no particular reason. I Feel better for it. Iv had a really stressful month, death in the family, a couple of awful things at work, the stress over my breast lump. Being diagnosed with pcos is kinda the icing on the cake. I keep logging into fertility friend (like 20 times a day... Why! Nothing's changed!!) seeing my cycle days rack up with no sign of ovulation makes me sad and just grumpy at how hard this is. And DH is just very much of the opinion that it will happen, we have a nice life, why stress over it etc! I know that's true but it's happening to me, inside me, Iv got constant pelvic pain to remind me! It feels like I'm ovulating every day (because of the cysts I think) and It makes me so sure I must be about to ovulate and then every day I get several negative opks and it's just a reminder that it's all a bit crap!

Any ways... Sorry for the very woe is me post, not what everyone needs on a Sunday night with Monday looming! I do feel better after a sob and venting on here. I'm normally very very laid back and it takes quite a lot to stress me out. And I know I do have a lovely life and I'm very lucky.

Hope everyone else is feeling more cheerful! 😀 x

Hi everyone, I've been absent for a wee while...I took the arrival of AF quite hard this month. The whole cycle last month was horrendous for me, with multiple LH surges and thinking I was on the tww when I wasn't. What made it even harder was the exact day AF arrived I had to spend 3 hours shopping with colleagues after work for baby gifts for another colleague. I know I must sound like a horrible person but the timing could not have been worst!

Forgive me as I haven't had a proper chance to read back all the messages. How are you all doing? Where are you all at in your cycle? Newgirl, I'm so so pleased for you BFP huni! It really is so uplifting to hear that more of us on here are getting our positives. Hoping you have a lovely, relaxing pregnancy!

I have a doctor's appointment booked in for tomorrow. I'm just so concerned that my luteal phase is only 7/8 days max. Also concerned about the possibility of PCOS so I thought i'd bite the bullet and go for some advice! xx

Sunflower1985 · 05/03/2016 16:51

Oh lawyer that's so difficult.

I'm feeling similar about work. I really want to move jobs but then if I did then got pg I'd loose the 20 weeks full pay my company give. But I could stay and not get pg for a year and spend it miserable in my job.
Still fuming that they cut it down from 30 weeks without consultation last year, but that's another story.

SincerelyRosie · 05/03/2016 13:23

Maple yes I had regular periods before. It's makes you wonder about the pill & what it's actually doing to your body doesn't it!?

Thanks sunnydays I just have my Fx that it's just another hurdle on the way to my BFP!

I'm going by my 2nd ovulation this month which would make me 3DPO. positive thinking

lawyeredout82 · 05/03/2016 10:52

Hello everyone! AF arrived yesterday so I'm out for the month. Discussed with DH last night whether to wait for a couple of months before restarting TTC as our maternity policy at work means that if I have a baby after February I will get 6 months full pay whereas before that I get pretty much zilch (statutory). If we we to conceive this month then it would be a mid December baby so it really isn't that long to wait and would kick ourselves if we missed out on all that money I think. So hard to know as on one hand just want to let nature take its course and sod the money and on the other would hate to miss out on it by a couple of days!! Xx

Sunnydays321 · 05/03/2016 08:57

Ovulate!! Not Icily late

OP posts:
Sunnydays321 · 05/03/2016 08:56

first I definitely agree.. I cannot sustain every other day for a whole 40-70 day cycle (whatever this one ends up being!) if you know when you are going to ovulate you can plan it but it's just complete pot luck! When I got my almost opk last week we were trying to dtd every other day... And then my opks faded to almost nothing again and I got grumpy and though f**k it, and we haven't had sex in 6 days until today! Oops. Back on it now though as I hopefully will icily late at some point.

Welcome rosie. Hope you tests either put your mind at ease or give you a problem with a simple solution. After a year with irregular cycles lots of gynaes will offer clomid which most people respond very well to, I think that's where we are heading.

Good luck with your tww bobo.

lawyer have you tested again, aren't you late now? Fingers crossed for you.

Have a nice weekend everyone x

Maple14 · 05/03/2016 08:29

Welcome Rosie. Sorry to hear you are having a tough time since coming off the pill. Did you have regular periods before you went on it?

Hopefully the tests will help work out what is going on - for me it helped put my mind at rest a bit and stopped me stressing so much.

Sorry to hear about your BFN shankate, I'm afraid it can take a while for everything to settle down after the pill. I must have conceived on CD 40 ish last year with no indication I was ovulating at all so it can happen when you don't expect it. Just a case of keeping at it and trying not to stress or think about it too much.

shankate182 · 05/03/2016 08:06

No its cycle 3

SincerelyRosie · 05/03/2016 00:06

Hi ladies, I've just read all the stats from the beginning of the thread & think this is the place for me (if you'll have me!)

Rosie
TTC #1
Cycle 3

I've been off of the pill now (rigevidon) for over a year after being on it for 4 years & still have irregular cycles. 79, 56, 53, 37, 44, 89 & I'm currently on CD 39 this month I ovulated on cd14 & 37!!?? No idea what is going on.

I went to the doctors on Tuesday & he is sending me for bloods, US & DH for a sample. I've been having milk leak from my breasts irregularly for over 6 years now & apparently this should have been sorted out by my last doctor as it shows irregular hormones but instead the doctor just told me not to touch them.

Feeling frustrated & helpless Sad

BoBo90 · 04/03/2016 18:52

Sorry for everyone with the BFNs

Shankate - Did you definitely ovulate and is this still cycle 1 after coming off the pill?

I have just started my tww so let the madness commence Grin

firstgo1984 · 04/03/2016 18:25

shankate unfortunately this can happen when you come off the pill. mine use to be regular before i went on it and then all over the place when i came off.

shankate182 · 04/03/2016 17:44

Well if it's not here by next week il Deffo by clear blue test or first response anyways if it negative I don't know what's going on cus never in my life did I have a cycle this length always had 29/30 day cycles always on time ?

firstgo1984 · 04/03/2016 12:46

I was getting so stressed with it. couldn't go for a pee without POAS of some sort. in the end i missed my LH surge as I had a busy weekend and didn't test... just got lucky with timing.

It is hard with such long cycles because I don't now about anyone else but every other day is unrealistic for that length of time!

Loulabelle1990 · 04/03/2016 11:34

Sorry to hear of your bfn's Sad. It's so hard to keep positive but I guess we just all need to keep the faith! Think we just get too impatient.

shankate182 · 04/03/2016 09:49

Thanks for keeping us positive first :)

firstgo1984 · 04/03/2016 08:33

Keep the faith everyone. My cycles got longer (38, 32, 48 then 77). I concieved on what would have been a 60 day cycle.
It is frustrating and hard to know when to dtd, but it will happen!

shankate182 · 03/03/2016 23:22

Yeah I have noticed my cycles are getting longer also ? I'm gona test in the morning again just to see and if AF doesn't arrive by next week il test again?
