Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 8 , Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome. Although normal conversation is also encouraged.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat a resident piss stick queen runner loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

Welcome Mazza!

ElleSarcasmo · 29/01/2016 11:29

Oh Miley, that sounds so lovely! Your OH sounds made up, bless! Smile

ElleSarcasmo · 29/01/2016 11:28

Ctulhoo I think your aunt is correct, in that early menopause runs in families so late conception suggests ovulatory cycles later in life. I think you tend to inherit from your mum's side (though I am no expert and may also be hereditary from your dad's side). So that is good news if your GM had a full term pregnancy in her mid 40s. How are you feeling today?

Mileymoocow · 29/01/2016 11:27

mazza it's first day of proper period for me.

I'm finishing work early and going to John lewis/mothercare etc and it wasn't even my decision 😂 I'm sure DP slept with my frer last night just to check hourly that it was still positive.

cthulhoo I have everything crossed for you! And everyone else here

Cthulhoo · 29/01/2016 11:24

Congratulations, daydream!

Co5mo · 29/01/2016 11:24

Ni I opked, got a nice positive one evening followed by right sided ovulation pain the next morning. Temping would really be a step to far for DH to take. He'd have me sleeping in the spare room!

Not particularly hopeful this month, dtd at the right time but was really unwell 1 dpo so that may well have blown our chances. That doesn't stop me dreaming about implantation bleeding and symptom spotting even before I could possibly have symptoms! TTC makes you crazy.

Hope the move goes well X

Kathrino · 29/01/2016 11:10

I'm another 7th Feb tester although I may crack on the 6th (which is a Saturday). I definitely want to take a test on a Saturday morning rather than any other day so that I have enough time to process it all and don't have to think about work etc for a couple of days!

Congrats daydream on the BFP and welcome Mazza!

Mazza22 · 29/01/2016 11:03

Thanks for all your hellos and I wonder how many more lurkers there are! Take the plunge ladies!

ct that's brilliant, glad things are in pipeline - it never hurts to get ball to get ball rolling. Forget to add in last post, friend has a healthy baby boy of 18m now.

ni I'm only using clue (downloaded and deleted ovia in an hour) and according to that 6th feb would make me a day late - so yes we can be testing buddies if I get that far. My DH is a male starky plus wants to be there when I yest as he knows I've regularly taken random preg tests when we weren't even trying! I'm now totally with starky on not testing before AF due ( maybe something to do with us having long cycles - we'd be bankrupt)

A question ladies - what day do u say is cd1 - I always counted from brown spotting.. Is that right?

Laurenowls · 29/01/2016 11:01

Same :) grown rather attached to them ha ha xx
But it has just got me worried as i'm having intermittent bleeding :( xx

LisaTheGreek · 29/01/2016 11:00

FXSkip - oh the poor little thing, how horrible. That's so sad, but I'm glad he's getting better, and hopefully will one day feel more comfortable.

FXSkip · 29/01/2016 10:57

Lauren sounds like hormone fluctuations to me, I wouldn't stress about it. Glad to hear they haven't disappeared as that would be a most concerning symptom.

Laurenowls · 29/01/2016 10:52

No no theyre still there thankfully
But they were swnsitive and sore for about 2 weeks and soreness has gone now but actual af hasnt arrived yet...
Perosnally think body is playing up Sad

Confusedcat1 · 29/01/2016 10:47

Her nipples have disappeared ! No wonder she is concerned the poor thing!

Cthulhoo · 29/01/2016 10:41

... and if there's no genetic link I don't want to know. In my head canon, conceiving late is in our genes. So there. :-p

Cthulhoo · 29/01/2016 10:41

No, my mum had me when she was 23 but her mum conceived her very late - around 45/46, I think and there's an aunt of her who similarly conceived very late. It's probably entirely random and unrelated, but my mum offered this as some reassuring information that I have a bit more time than I think I have.

FXSkip · 29/01/2016 10:38

Ni and Maz I'll be testing around then too unless the witch shows up - FX for us all Smile

Lisa he's actually 11 months now but is absolutely tiny and a bit damaged psychologically due to a rough start in life being raised with a very aggressive dog. He's recovering well, we've had him for 4 months now, but he is very needy and can't be shut out of rooms as he gets very distressed.

Lauren what do you mean nips have gone??

Ni4444 · 29/01/2016 10:38

House move tasks are being ignored...Finally checking out mothercare for the first time to look at nursing chairs, cots, etc. So exciting!!! Come on BFP!

LisaTheGreek · 29/01/2016 10:38

Cthulhoo - really interesting about having a family with a history of late conceptions. I never thought about something like that being genetic, but I guess it makes sense.

Did your Mum have you in her 30/40s?

Ni4444 · 29/01/2016 10:37

Fighting spirit Ctul!! 👍

Laurenowls · 29/01/2016 10:37

cthulhoo your never out until your out!! Fx for you all the way!! Xxx

Cthulhoo · 29/01/2016 10:34

*Also, not although.

Cthulhoo · 29/01/2016 10:33

Although, I'm not out yet. af due today but hasn't shown up yet. shakes fist

Cthulhoo · 29/01/2016 10:33

Mazza, I think you're referring to me. It's already in the works, sort of - I have gone to my GP after trying for a good half year and was offered a blood test for reassurance. Blood test couldn't show ovulation (so much for the reassurance!) and they're keen to refer me to a fertility specialist but they need a second negative blood test to confirm. I'm turning 40 in April so if they refer me in February it might just about be in time ...

I'm not panicking yet, since I think that (if it's confirmed) low hormone levels are fairly easy to treat and in terms of general fitness, body weight, non-smoking and family history of late conceptions the odds are still somewhat in my favour. It just absolutely wasn't what I wanted to hear and it made me suddenly feel very old. :-/

Ni4444 · 29/01/2016 10:30

Hi Maz! Welcome!! I'm thinking of testing on the 7th so we may be testing buddies! Are you gonna test, or just wait? Stark says wait and she's dead right!!

FXSkip · 29/01/2016 10:29

Thanks Ni and Miley thats so sweet of you!! I am being very productive looking at 1dpo symptoms, lurking on other threads and answering EVERY post on here He's ok, just a big name dropper/likes to laugh at things and not share them/is persistently dehydrated (due to mild alcohol abuse) so I can hear every time he licks his lips and it makes my skin crawl. I'll be fine. He's away for a meeting now, hopefully it will last all day Grin
