Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 8 , Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome. Although normal conversation is also encouraged.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat a resident piss stick queen runner loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

Haha fx oviabitch is definitely decreasing the odds on this bus - totally got my fw wrong last month so I tend to ignore it!

FXSkip · 29/01/2016 13:29

Zazzles I think that number is for women in the 20-35 age bracket, I believe it decreases gradually with age, but also this number needs to factor in those of us who stupidly DTD when Ovibitch tells us to

FXSkip · 29/01/2016 13:26

Evergreen sorry for confusion, I am actually talking about a small cat - apologies to everyone that thinks I am the worst parent ever. Lucky I didn't tell you about that time I trapped him under an upturned laundry basket for 4 hours no wonder he has mental problems

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 29/01/2016 13:24

kat I've seen stats somewhere that shows you have a 30-35% of conception 1-2 days before ovulation and less than that 2-5 days before ovulation, and pretty much no chance anytime before that and straight after ovulation.

I just thought that maybe us ladies should be higher than avg because we're actively ttc / looking for best days...but now my head hurts Grin

Congrats again everyone on BFPs Flowers this has been one seriously awesome bus for positive pissy sticks!

ImpYCelyn · 29/01/2016 13:17

Oops I was away too long!

Congrats Lisa and Daydream! Fab news this month!

Miley your oh sounds adorable Smile

Cthulhoo that's really positive! Fingers crossed it might just be that!

I've been sleeping really badly for a week now and I'm knackered. I'm also headachey and nauseous. I'm due back at school on Monday after three weeks off, but I feel so crap I'm terrified of how I'll cope! My stitches are out at last though!!

Dh and I chatted last night, and we're both on board for the original plan of France in 2017. Someone asked about giving notice, teachers normally have to give half a term's notice. And we'd be moving to a village. There's about 200 people. It quiet and lush. But major city is about a 40 minute drive away, and towns are scattered about.

ElleSarcasmo · 29/01/2016 13:16

Sorry for the BFN Lauren.

To Lauren's body: stop messing her around!!

ElleSarcasmo · 29/01/2016 13:13

Oh Lisa they sound adorable! Are they brothers from the same litter?

Laurenowls · 29/01/2016 12:36

elle just took one then and its def a bfn!! But im just hoping body gets back to normal soon otherwise its another trip to the doctors xx

Mazza22 · 29/01/2016 12:32

*Great

Mazza22 · 29/01/2016 12:19

ct the above research sounds promising. Think day 21 bloods are notoriously hard to interpret, so def don't lose hope. Very very sweet about your OH and grey to have that support from him x

LisaTheGreek · 29/01/2016 12:14

Elle - the other one (ginger with white paws and white chest) is even dafter. He's pretty (well, he's beautiful), but several sandwiches short of a picnic...He's a bit special.

They are both cuddlers when they're tired and will also cuddle up together and clean each other. Brotherly love!

ElleSarcasmo · 29/01/2016 12:07

Ctul don't go unless it's making you stress more sticking around. We are here to support each other so keep posting if it helps Flowers

ElleSarcasmo · 29/01/2016 12:04

Glad you're doing better today Ctul. That sounds similar to me and DH, that he will be happy if it ended up just us, even though he does want a family. I have never been so anxious since I started TTC, thankfully he has proved to be a good un, sounds like yours is too Smile

Lisa I really want one! Yours sounds so cute and daft! Is he a cuddler? What is the other one like? I am such a sap that I would be really sad if I ended up with an aloof cat! We are def planning to get one in the next place but may be a little while yet!

Lauren you're not out until you're out!

Snow I am impressed at your DH level of commitment! Mine still doesn't quite get it. He does have a certain weakness which I plan to exploit! Hopefully everyone will be happy that way Wink

Cthulhoo · 29/01/2016 12:03

Evergreen, yes, I did a double take at that too!

Cthulhoo · 29/01/2016 12:02

www.fertilityassociates.co.nz/Information-for-GPs/FSH,-Estradiol---Progesterone.aspx

'Progesterone 3-30 nmol/l – ovulation has occurred > 10 days ago or < 5 days ago, or if ovulation did occur 5-10 days ago, the level is probably not adequate to sustain endometrial growth for satisfactory implantation.'

So assuming that I ovulated around cd 11 and tested at 5dpo that could mean I ovulated; still fits if I then measured at 12dpo which would be outside the 10 days.

I'm going to put myself in time-out now. If I post again, give me a kick.

Cthulhoo · 29/01/2016 11:57

Mhm, this one time Dr Internet makes me actually worry less. Looking at some values I find online (e.g., here: www.fertilityplus.com/faq/hormonelevels.html#progesterone) my levels aren't even that bad and not necessarily indicative of non-ovulation. I ovulated (I think) on CD 11. Had my first blood test of 9.3 at 5dpo and the second test of 16.2 at 11dpo which seems to be low but not alarming. I guess if they're working on a cycle of 28 days, CD 22 would still be too early for me. Maybe I still tested on the wrong day? Argh!

I need a responsible adult to tell me to step away from the internet. Blush

Mazza22 · 29/01/2016 11:57

Hi elle

miley congratulations and that is so sweet about your OH. Had read varying things about when AF starts and now am not so sure when I'm due on! So now thinking to try and go by post ovulation. I had a huge amount of ewmc last sat after a milder build up for a few days so I assume i ovulated sat / sun

Evergreen15 · 29/01/2016 11:55

Co5mo I am 8dpo and so fed up with the wait. No symptoms. Cero. Nada Sad
Lauren if AF due yesterday, can you test?
Fx I suggest next time you clarify your not talking about a toddler "he's actually 11 months now but is absolutely tiny and a bit damaged psychologically due to a rough start in life being raised with a very aggressive dog. He's recovering well, we've had him for 4 months now, but he is very needy and can't be shut out of rooms as he gets very distressed. " I was like errrrrrrr I know we said not to judge in this forum but Hmm

Ni4444 · 29/01/2016 11:52

co5 I wouldn't think being sick 1dpo would affect anything...the egg and sperm dancing has nothing to do with whether you're ill or healthy. If you were ill around the time of implantation then maybe, but I reckon you have every chance this month!

Miley that's so sweet. My OH is very cautious (Im holidaying with my Mom when I would be 8 weeks if I conceive this cycle and my OH was like "it would be too early to tell her then" "Something might go wrong!") so I don't think we'll be buying anything until late in pregnancy!

LisaTheGreek · 29/01/2016 11:46

ElleSarcasmo - cats are awesome. You should definitely get one.

Mine love cuddles sometimes, but are generally quite badly behaved and do whatever they want (...actually, they are typical cats).

I've been doing some decorating this week and the smell of the paint doesn't even seem to phase them - they'll come right up and try to sniff the paint brush. The black one managed to brush past a new bit of paint and got himself a white stripe. So daft.... Hmm Thank god it's water-based and I can wipe it off easily....

Laurenowls · 29/01/2016 11:43

elle did one the other day which was an early testing one and nada so think body is having a hissy fit!! Think everyone had a giggle at my disappearing nips!! So did i when i posted xxx

Snowdog37 · 29/01/2016 11:39

Wow so many bfps and so much to catch up on!!! Am so behind 😜 It's really hard to read and reply on my phone. Many congrats to the recent grads!
Both Ovia and FF say I'm going to ovulate on Sunday or Monday (cycle day 10/11 early but still ok I hope!) so dh is rallying the troops and from last night to Monday night we are going to do it every night. I've promised him it'll be all about him for the rest of my cycle 😄 So hopefully we will swarm the egg this month.

Cthulhoo · 29/01/2016 11:37

Elle, much better. Still sad and disappointed but not as despondent as I was yesterday. It helps that DP is pretty grounded and he's still optimistic that with the right medication we still have a good chance.

I know that he always wanted a family whereas I've only come round since I've met him - it just all fell into place and I know with absolute certainty that I want to raise children with him. I want this for both of us, and I know he'll be over the moon if and when it happens. But he's also quite clear that he doesn't want a family more than he wants me and that helps to take the pressure off.

I'd just like af to come now so I can stop clinging on to the hope that ovulation and implantation have happened anyway, and can start counting days towards the next test.

Evergreen15 · 29/01/2016 11:36

Daydream GrinI see a line Smile
Oh my!! And look at that first response! Beautiful!!!!!
Ni I agree re tempting. The first cycle I found it stressful, not waking up at the right time, christmas period... But now it is part of my routine and I like knowing when I ovulated to confirm my opks and because there is no way I would be having sex at the right tome otherwise. We have very little (low libido and always busy and tired)

Ahhh but now on 8dpo and bored with waiting

ElleSarcasmo · 29/01/2016 11:34

Laurenowls would it be worth you taking a test if your AF is due about now to set your mind at rest? Was it the combined pill you stopped?

Sorry but I might have sniggered at your nipples disappearing!

Would so love to have a cat...maybe if/when we move to the new house! My friend has the cuddliest and most gorgeous tortoiseshell who loves attention...you can feel all your stress melting away when you cuddle her Smile
