Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 8 , Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome. Although normal conversation is also encouraged.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat a resident piss stick queen runner loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

OK ladies I have had a weird day.
Woke up - late - tired out but that's the norm on Friday. Ovia said test to day and I was going to anyway so had a quick POAS (just an internet cheapie) and I think there was a VERY faint line. DH thought so too but it was super super faint so neither of us are quite sure if we really saw it. Tried not to get excited whilst squealing a little bit. My happiness was soon quashed by cramps from about 9 until 1. Felt EXACTLY like AF is on her way. And my boobs are still super painful.

Between possible line if I squinted and held it to the light, AF cramps and sore boobs, I'm not sure what to think....???? Confused

Bananarma · 29/01/2016 18:20

Does anyone know how I can change my length of cycle on Ovia? Probably get a more accurate reading.. Hmm

Holly300 · 29/01/2016 18:17

Hello to all today's newbies Smile

SuchaJem · 29/01/2016 18:07

Hahaha @ the DTD chat.

We are back in the saddle this weekend, as its fw next week I think. I'm aiming for DTD every other day and then every day for 2-3 days when egg is most likely cruising by.

Better shave the old legs tonight...

Pugmummy87 · 29/01/2016 18:04

Is it sad that I got ridiculously excited about seeing ewcm this afternoon? I've never had it before whilst ttc.
Hoping the success of this thread rubs off on me.

DH is out tonight and I've just got in from work. He says he is going to buy me some Cinnapie from Papa John's so I've told him I know just how to thank him later!

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 29/01/2016 17:53

*then

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 29/01/2016 17:53

By the way we have similar conversations

Me - I'm ovulating tomorrow wahoo
DH - errr?
Me - get your c0ck out turn
DH - Shock
Me - I'm waiting Grin

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 29/01/2016 17:50

starky I totally read your post wrong just now - I initially thought you said get your legs open ladies!! 😂😂

LisaTheGreek · 29/01/2016 17:49

Stark, your DH sounds awesome! Grin

Hope it all goes well!

stardusty5 · 29/01/2016 17:39

Congratulations to the new BFPs! What great news!

I've just ordered a pack of ics today so hopefully theyll be here soon. Should stop me getting a supermarket one tomorrow anyway.

Now starting to wonder in case my three day spotting was ovulation, as it was at the end of my fertile window and i had run out of OPKS. DTD on the first day of spotting but not after that. Fx!

Moggysinger · 29/01/2016 17:34

Sooooo many bfps over the past couple of days!!! It's madness! Brilliant madness! Congrats to you all Grin FlowersFlowersFlowersFlowers

I got 9 days to go before I'm out/will allow myself to test ... Nada symptoms! It's much easier to get on with normal life without anything to symptom spot though so that's a bonus!

Today Oviabitch is telling me to eat blueberries and poke my cervix Hmm

StarkyTheDirewolf · 29/01/2016 17:32

fx you're joking, but thats fairly accurate! Grin "I'm just going to turn the oven on and pop your dinner in, stay there!" And then came to update yous! He's off to work in an hour so we have to fit it in between his shifts! Depending on opk tomorrow will probably have another couple of tries over the weekend! Tell you what though, he's been in a much better mood since I decided every other day all month dtd was the plan! Should have dtd yesterday but didn't get chance!

Ah well, who knows what is going on. Assuming I am even producing eggs that know where to go, and OH has sperm that can swim/have sense of direction, we managed to DTD prior to and on the day of OV so I've done my best.

I'm imagining Starky's DH saying 'off with the panties' and Starky being like 'ok, but first I have to tell the girls'

Have fun Starky Wink (and Starky's DH Grin)

ElleSarcasmo · 29/01/2016 17:25

Romantic and practical Grin Starky!

Kathrino I think that was in Expecting Better? I think the rationale was that it had to be fertilised in the Fallopian tube to implant correctly?

Bananarma · 29/01/2016 17:24

Evening ladies haven't read all the way through yet but lots of bfp news!
Congratulations to all bfpsFlowers

Kat can you add me to 31st list please!

Kathrino · 29/01/2016 17:18

I was reading somewhere (I've read so much stuff that I can't even begin to remember where) that if you DTD once you've ovulated, it's generally too late and there's a much better hit rate if the sperm are there waiting for the egg rather than the other way round. I think the egg moves off pretty quickly plus although it can stay alive for up to 24 hours, it doesn't always. I wouldn't have thought that the % went down to 0 though.

Good news on the opk Starky. Sounds like you guys have a busy weekend ahead of you...

IrregularCommentary · 29/01/2016 17:15

Yaay Starky

stardusty5 · 29/01/2016 17:08

Woohoo starky!

Here to catch up with the thread. Hope everyone is looking forward to a lovely weekend

FXSkip · 29/01/2016 17:07

Thanks for the chart Ni I am also confused - I thought the egg survived for 24hrs after Ovulating??? Thus, if you have LH surge it might be 12 - 36 hrs before you actually ovulate, and then a further 24hrs before an unfertilised egg dies. Minimum 36hr window of eggyness, maximum 60hrs?

StarkyTheDirewolf · 29/01/2016 16:55

I got the darkest opk I've had so far this cycle this afternoon, I nearly cried I was so happy and over emotional I even showed Dh, he just smiled and said "right! Get your knickers off then!" Romantic and practical I think you'll agree! Have to catch up with the last few pages but I'm thoroughly pleased this week is out of the way!

Congratulations to the bfp'ers! And comiserations to the bfn/af-ers! Get the wine open ladies!

ElleSarcasmo · 29/01/2016 16:47

Thanks for the graph Ni, it came in very handy explaining to DH why he will be called on to perform mid week from now on! Normally we are strictly weekenders! Weekdays only on holiday or once in a blue moon. Annoyingly he kept saying, but we still have a chance? YES BUT A MUCH LESSER CHANCE NOW DO WHAT I SAY!!

Alice you should be able to change your cycle length with ovia, possibly in the settings?

AliceScarlett · 29/01/2016 16:37

Interesting chart. But I thought swimmers would stay waiting for the egg and what if you ovd at 2am but didn't dtd til 11pm, the egg might have died by then?

Just cross referencing FF and Ovia, Ovia has not taken into account my 29 day cycle and the last 3 days of the FW would be after ov according to FF...I think I'm going to uninstall Ms Ovia, she deserves it.

ImpYCelyn · 29/01/2016 15:59

Oh gosh Kathrino, I'm bracing myself for it Sad I've left all my marking and planning. In a weird way I'm hoping working hard this weekend will shock me back into it, rather than trying to ease myself back!

Kathrino · 29/01/2016 14:04

Ugh, Impy, I totally sympathise. I'm so exhausted at the moment that it's all I can do to keep from crawling under my desk and going to sleep. I also remember when I went back to work after three weeks off for an operation that it was a real shock to the system. The first day I had to go home mid-afternoon and spend the rest of the day asleep.

Ni, that's an interesting chart although it convinces me more and more that we're not going to be luck this cycle.

I do feel quite sick today which I thought was a good sign until I realised that it probably was more likely related to the wine I consumed last night than anything else...

Ni4444 · 29/01/2016 13:47

Get on the temping ladies!

As it's too early to symptom spot at 4dpo I'm driving myself mad looking at chances of getting pregnant this cycle as I now know we dtd the day before ovulation.
