Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 8 , Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome. Although normal conversation is also encouraged.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat a resident piss stick queen runner loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

Oh Starky, that sounds so unbearably awful. That poor family. I can't even begin to imagine what they're going through.

Evergreen15 · 27/01/2016 13:56

Kathrino those cramps could be implantation!
I am 6dpo and going crazy trying to feel some sort of implantation pain or symptom
Kat we have a spare room with a futon for guests and my snake's vivarium. We will manage somehow Smile when my bubba comes I am going to love him/her so much that it won't matter Grin. I am already dreading fw as again I will have to put so much energy into convincing DP to dtd...
Imp omg I say poas!
Thanks so much for the info!! GrinGrinGrinGrin
I am catching up on messages here Smile

sucha alot of people find the conceive on the very next cycle after a chemical pregnancy xx

Chocaholic88 · 27/01/2016 13:46

stark I almost lost my daughter during birth as she got stuck and none of the midwives would listen to me, thank goodness the registrar came out of a cough section in time to help deliver her (venthouse and a cut) and she was fine but it could have been so worse.

My mum had still born twins when I was 8. I had no grasp or understanding but it must have been so so hard for my parents :(

Everyone knows a frighteningly high percentage of pregnancies end in miscarriage and although as mum's to or soon-to-be-mums-to-be, nothing can prepare you for that kind of loss. But to suffer that at the very end, when you think you're going to get all you've dreamed of for 9 months and more... I can't even begin to process it. :( bless them all xxx

StarkyTheDirewolf · 27/01/2016 13:40

Warning : Before you read. Upsetting content of post. Not TMI, just awful and upsetting

Wasn't sure whether to put this here as it seems somehow just so wrong. I did a funeral this morning of a stillborn baby girl. I can't even find the words. I didn't know the parents, I just go to help my dm. It was beautiful but just so awful. There should never be a need for a coffin so small. I'm honestly just speechless with sadness for them. Full term baby, touch and go/tricky pregnancy but just an accident at birth. Im trying to rationalise it out, and it's just not ok for that to happen. It's probably hit me more because we're ttc, and all the little one knew was love. No unkindness or pain or hurt, just love. But it's just wrong. I can't imagine what the parents are feeling and I'm sorry if I've upset anyone, I just needed to get it off my chest a bit. I'm really sorry. It's made me even more determined to ttc though, life is too short. If anyone has a spare prayer, keep baby V in your thoughts.

Thanks choc. I kind of feel like I want to know, but then not sure if I'd be able to, and what difference would that make. If it was a chemical pregnancy, does that affect conceiving next cycle?

Confusedcat1 · 27/01/2016 13:18

Congrats Bellini!💐

Chocaholic88 · 27/01/2016 13:18

That does sound like maybe something has gone amiss sucha Sad sorry and sending hugs xxx

Chocaholic88 · 27/01/2016 13:17

Check this out ladies I need my leftover tests confiscated asap hahaha ... OPK does indeed detect pregnancy (as you can see the test line is darker than the control) BUT the cheapie pregnancy tests are no where near as sensitive as FRER but still brought up a faint line with middle of the day urine yet nothing this morning! Lol

FRER gave me that lovely clear line that left absolutely not doubt or need for squinting yesterday so if in doubt, whip one out 😉😂

I thought I'd lost you! /drama Shock

But no - just a lovely new thread. Hello all :)

Name: SuchaJem
Age: 32
TTC #1
Cycle #2

I had some unusual symptoms for me in the tww, which culminated in a BFN and an early AF. AF has now suddenly stopped after 2 days.

This is all very strange for me - I'm usually like clockwork, 29 day cycle and 4-5 day period. I can't help but think something might have fertilised and then gone wrong.

Mileymoocow · 27/01/2016 13:11

elle tomorrow morning apparently. I've for FF just today and I'm not a fan just yet. I think Ovia is easier, albeit very fickle! I have one called period diary which I downloaded first and I find it ok ☺ might just stick with one!

ElleSarcasmo · 27/01/2016 13:00

Congrats Bellini, I can see a line on both of those! Flowers

Thanks Lara and Miley. Had a bit of a self pity party earlier, have showered and put make up on now (off today-too much time to sit around feeling Sad )!

Lara you didn't upset me at all Flowers actually it did make me think that it would mean everything was working ok so hopefully still in with a good chance another cycle. Thanks. Not long for you to wait until FW! Are you OPKing/temping (autocorrected to poking Grin) this time?

Miley isn't it time you POAS?! I can't get FF on my crap old phone, seriously need to upgrade then can tell Ovia to do one! Anyone using FF and is she a creeper?! My friend showed me MyDays yesterday, it doesn't seem as TTC oriented as Ovia, though that might be a good thing!

I'm off for some baby snuggles with my lovely niece (3 months and gorgeous) and may try to rub some banned baby dust on myself, let me know if y'all want a sprinkle

Chocaholic88 · 27/01/2016 12:59

bellini that's definitely a line - did it come up within the time??

Eeeeeeeeek how exciting xx

Mileymoocow · 27/01/2016 12:59

bellini I think that's definitely positive!! Congratulations

Confusedcat1 · 27/01/2016 12:50

I've downloaded ff too, now I'm using three apps
😂😂😂 it's not as user friendly as ovia though.
choc I think it's in antenatal clubs.

Sorry to all who got af.... And impy I may be coming back to you for more info when the time comes!

BelliniButterfly · 27/01/2016 12:46

Today's test.....

Going to hold out until Friday and do a clear blue digital fx

Mileymoocow · 27/01/2016 12:42

Bit off topic but... I have had dandruff for a couple of days and I've never had it before. It's really irritating me!!

Anyone get this coming in to af?

Mileymoocow · 27/01/2016 12:24

I'm downloading FF because I genuinely can't deal with ovia's shit anymore. AF predicted 31st now? has already been 28th, 29th and 2nd

Chocaholic88 · 27/01/2016 12:11

Where can I find the elusive grads thread pink and runner ??

LaraG13 · 27/01/2016 12:06

Sorry elle, didn't mean to say you did miscarfy or to upset you in any way. Just meant that there are probably different stages of pre pregnancy, or very early pregnancy occurances that are really common and cause symptoms. And that they're normal and if anything are a sign that things are going in the right direction, if that makes sense

LaraG13 · 27/01/2016 12:04

kat sorry you're feeling rubbish. It's really hard when OH just isn't interested and you can't dtd enough. I know how you feel. I honestly think that just dtd every other day would give you as much chance as if you temp and chart. Especially when you take stress and pressure into account. So if the whole process is getting stressful I would definitely have a month off charting, and feel reassured that your chances probably arent any different. And I know it's easy to say but the fact you aren't preggo yet doesn't mean you're doing it wrong, or that there's anything amiss. It's just normal. The analogy I keep using is that it's like rolling a six. You can roll several times and not get one, while other people get one first time. Doesn't mean your die is faulty or that you're rolling it the wrong way. But if you keep on trying you'll get the six sooner or later.

elle I hope you're cycles settle down a bit. You may well have had an early miscarriage - I'm sure a few of us will have given how common they are. If anything that would be a normal occurance and a positive sign. I suppose there's different stuff going on to normal in there. Even if you don't end up pregnant, it's possible sperm and egg might have met but not fully implanted, or that implantation might just have happened but not quite stuck. All these things must be mega common for women Ttc and might play a role in the symptoms we spot, I reckon.
I'm fine thanks. Plodding along at day 5 and looking forward to FW!

Cthulhoo · 27/01/2016 12:02

Choc, but if you say that it's a good sign. You're officially upduffed. ;)

Mileymoocow · 27/01/2016 11:59

imp I totally would poas. But you could wait for fmu tomorrow to be doubly sure.

planet I can't bare to. I can't even go into bloody asda without having a quick look!

elle sorry about af SadFlowers

Runner05 · 27/01/2016 11:57

Hi Ladies, I'm really struggling to keep up with this thread and the grads so I think I'm going to have to disappear from this one Sad

Can someone else take over directing people to the grads page please? Thanks

(May sneakily pop back and lurk whenever I have time)

ElleSarcasmo · 27/01/2016 11:41

Also I did not know that cycles were deemed regular if they vary by a few days! I think the 33 day one for me was def an anomaly/poss early mc so should probably expect a 28/29 day cycle, we shall see. Soo wish I had come off the pill earlier so I had more idea of my normal!
