Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 8 , Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome. Although normal conversation is also encouraged.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat a resident piss stick queen runner loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

Ok, false alarm and slightly ewww

Having cramps today and just felt very wet. Assumed it was af so went to check/apply a tampon to bleedy vag but it was a substantial amount of sticky cm.

Kathrino · 27/01/2016 15:19

I'm sorry fxskip but that made me laugh so much. I wonder if it's a result of our open and frank conversations on here...I feel like we're all peeing in front of each other virtually!

Cthulhoo, I'm CD 21 and have been having similar cramping. No spotting that I've noticed yet though. I definitely feel like AF is about to arrive and keep expecting to see it there every time I go to the loo but this would be really early so I'm keeping everything crossed!

Chocaholic88 · 27/01/2016 15:10

ct implantation cough

Chocaholic88 · 27/01/2016 15:09

I don't want to leave kat !!

Today symtpoms include massive fatigue, random nausea, slobbery mouth, looser bowels than Katie prices morals, a metallic taste in my mouth that would compare to giving Ironman oral and a short tempered than a midget with road rage...

Nothing new really. Boobs are still mighty fine though. Even if I can't touch them hahaha

Cthulhoo · 27/01/2016 15:08

CD 23 and counting. Still having light cramps. TMI: this morning I had the very faintest amount of spotting in what looked surprisingly like CM, but I may well have imagined it. Ah well. I think AF is incoming, but I'm not out just yet. shakes fist in a vaguely threatening manner at AF

KatOnATinRo0f · 27/01/2016 15:06

Choc you definitely can't leave us yet. What about the sweepstake? What will we do without the daily run through of chocsymptomsofpregnancy to keep us going?

Feefeefs · 27/01/2016 14:59

fxskip that is so funny! I remember my mum once telling me she was asked to hand in a sample of urine and went in with a full jam Jar

Feefeefs · 27/01/2016 14:57

Wow imp I would have thought never ever! But your post is convincing. What do you do if you have to change when you're out and about?

Sorry about AF elle

Oohbellini that's exciting!

Rough morning starky I'm sure you and your DM provides them with some comfort on their awful day.

Chocaholic88 · 27/01/2016 14:49

skip I've just spat hot chocolate over my laptop and press releases 😂😂😂😂 mental image of someone squatting over a cup in front of a nurse hahahahahaha sorry 🙈🙉🙊🙊🙉🙈

FXSkip · 27/01/2016 14:48

Imp I would try not to, but I know its easier said than done.

I was just forced to test before I had my smear - obvs BFN - not surprised but still a little tiny bit disappointed.
However, it seems I am destined for humilitation every time I POAS. The nurse said 'you can do it now, or do it in private' so, I obviously said I wanted to do it in private, and that peeing on a cup on the floor is beyond my level of public indecency. She looks at me quizzically, and with ill-concealed disgust says 'by private I meant take it home, if you do it here you would be expected to use the lavatory.' I then muster as much dignity as possible and retreat to the loo to poas with shame. Most. awkward. smear. ever.

SuchaJem · 27/01/2016 14:47

starky that's absolutely heartbreaking, poor little mite :(

miley - oh bumhole, is it definitely AF?

Thanks for the support with my chemical fears. I never got a BFN so I guess I'll maybe never know, but I had so many unusual symptoms for me, and my period being out of whack is so so unusual. It's actually stopped completely today - so I've bled for two days and now nothing. Don't think it's worth testing again, as it's been pretty heavy for two days.

Here's to next month. Think we can try again at the end of next week.

Mileymoocow · 27/01/2016 14:41

jem I hope its not been a chemical Flowers sorry it's so shitty for you.

I believe AF has entered the building so on to cycle 3 it is! Booooo.

LaraG13 · 27/01/2016 14:38

elle I'm going to do OPKs again but not temping. Haven't bothered with it yet and am not convinced I'd be able to do it consistently. Definitely lots of poking though 😆

LaraG13 · 27/01/2016 14:32

bellini big congrats!!! 💐 I think it's pretty certain now you've had 3 BFPs!

starky that's so tragic I can't bear to think about it properly. Sorry you've had to see such sadness.

sucha sorry you think you might have had a chemical. If so, it doesn't affect your chances of getting pregnant next cycle at all, from what I have read. If anything it shows you're ovulating and that OH's swimmers are up to the task.

harrietm87 · 27/01/2016 14:30

starky that sounds so heartbreaking. My OH's mum had a stillborn baby, full term, before him - it was her first and they never knew what had happened. I guess it was more common in the past when technology wasn't so good - seems incredible it can still happen now.

Re the chat about nurseries etc - we live in a 1 bed so baby will not have a nursery!! Planning on keeping it in with us for a year at least and then either moving or converting our loft. Probs the latter cos we love our flat! Our friends have a 10month old and she's still in with them despite having a beautiful nursery because she's still breastfeeding and it's easier at night, so I hope it will be ok for us. Guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it!

Evergreen15 · 27/01/2016 14:25

Imp that post about nappies was amazing, I am printing it!! SmileGrinGrinThanksThanksThanksThanks

StarkyTheDirewolf · 27/01/2016 14:18

Aah! I missed your post runner ! No probs pal, ill take over and direct people! I sense I'm in for the long haul on this thread so I might as well! Grin

Chocaholic88 · 27/01/2016 14:18

stark no one is going to judge you for that. I welled up just reading what you wrote. Sending the biggest of hugs. Life really is too short ❤❤

Runner can't keep up with both threads... I've posted over there too but I don't want to leave here stamps feet lol!

Cthulhoo · 27/01/2016 14:17

Starky, virtual hugs if you like them. It's good that you were there for them at this difficult time. I can't begin to imagine how painful this must have been for the parents. Sad

StarkyTheDirewolf · 27/01/2016 14:16

kat my dm is the vicar, so I just go to help set up, light the candles etc and then I do the music. So during the services, whether it be a wedding or a funeral I man the ipod/cd player. And this sounds ridiculous but it can be really stressful. It's the most important day of their lives (whatever the occasion) and if I balls up the music, it sets a tone. I don't usually cry but today I'm not ashamed to say I shed some tears.

Why is runner leaving us?! What have I missed!?

Chocaholic88 · 27/01/2016 14:15

starky i couldn't imagine it. I can't even bring myself to try. A friend of ours has a son born with half a heart. I've spent more nights than I care to count speaking to her as they've told her he won't make the night. He's had open heart surgery three times now, the first time was when he was less than 24 hrs old... it's been so so heartbreaking at times but so amazing to watch him grow and develop. He's 3 next month and what a fighter he is xx

KatOnATinRo0f · 27/01/2016 14:10

Lara thank you. I know it's all normal and it will all be okay but just frustrated as it seems so out of my control (apart from dtd which I don't think we did enough) luckily my cycles seem to be running at about 25 days (also concerned this isn't long enough for the luteal phase to work properly) so at least I'll get another fw week and test end feb/beg March I expect. That'll be cycle 7 at which point I may start to get concerned. Doc won't do anything though obviously.

Stark I am sorry to hear what a morning you had to go through and also what the poor parents must be feeling. I can't even really imagine the pain that must be ever present. (May I ask what involvement you were having in the funeral just for nosiness sake? You obv don't have to tell me)

I can't believe runner is leaving us. ShockSadSadChocolate it feels like the end of an era.

Mileymoocow · 27/01/2016 14:05

I meant to add my auntie lost a baby boy at full term, too only a few years ago. It must be so upsetting to know that you've carried a supposedly health baby full term and lost it so quickly

Mileymoocow · 27/01/2016 14:04

starky one of my friends had to have a funeral for her little girl who was stillborn at almost full term due to rare genetic illness. It's the most cruel thing on the planet. It's awful you had to see it as I know how much it can take you by surprise.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 27/01/2016 14:02

choc I think that's what I can't get my head around. It was a tricky pregnancy on mum, but baby was ok. Not poorly, no signs of being unwell. Just a difficult traumatic labour. And to have 9 months of all those hopes and dreams and love, for it all to be taken away in 5 minutes, with no warning. That's what I'm struggling with. I'm so sorry for your dm, and for you. One of my old friends lost a baby a few years before I knew her, but in the same way. And I can't get my head round it. Just the abject loss. The grief and sorrow was tangible in the church. There are no words to say to make it ok. Flowers
