Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 8 , Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome. Although normal conversation is also encouraged.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat a resident piss stick queen runner loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

latinata we'll be strong together and resist the urge to test! It maybe is a bit of a hangover type feeling! A bit fuzzy headed I suppose and its not due to caffeine I cut hat back before I stopped the pill

FXSkip · 28/01/2016 15:30

Impy sounds like you've worked it out - its tough when opportunities come along and screw with your plans!! France sounds like it will do your family a world of good. My mum moved out there 10 years ago with a chronic illness and although she still has low periods, she never regrets the fresh air, beautiful countryside and fresh, local produce. I would love to move there, OH has a house in rural Greece that is beautiful and he wants to move there, but we are stuck in a city because of our non-vocational work!!

latinata · 28/01/2016 15:29

Feefs and harriet- glad to be testing buddies!

I have been feeling completely exhausted (like I'm hungover) in the mornings for the last few days too, and although impossible for it to be a sign of anything as it's too early, it's making my brain spin.

Most likely answer is chronic alcohol withdrawal!! Oh wine, I miss you.

Feefeefs · 28/01/2016 15:29

I did loads of early tests last month lisa and I don't think it helped I thought it might desensitise me for the BFN but in reality it was just a disappointing start to every day! So this month trusting in the advice of oh wise one starky and waiting till AF. The tiredness isn't normal for me I have days where I'm knackered but I usually sleep badly this month i have been getting a solid 8-12 hours(only 12 at weekends!) every night most nights without waking up. I'm really struggling with concentration too, my moods been a bit low so I suppose it could be that

Confusedcat1 · 28/01/2016 15:26

miley don't say that 😂😂

I am refusing to test again until her royal highness the Princess of pregnancy tests Starky grants her royal permission!

Kathrino · 28/01/2016 15:24

After a couple of days of mild but constant cramps, I had one biggish cramp last night for a couple of minutes (right in the middle of cooking dinner which was helpful) and then nothing at all today. Surely implantation doesn't happen like that?! Can't help feeling that I'm almost certainly out this month and it's just a case of the long wait for AF to appear now.

LisaTheGreek · 28/01/2016 15:18

Oh no! That sounds really shitty - have you had that before? Or you think it's new and a symptom?

FF is saying I should test on 31st, but don't know if I'll hold out. I just want to know now, even if it's a BFN so I can start thinking about next month.

Feefeefs · 28/01/2016 15:16

OVIA says 31st but I'm waiting till AF due so the 2nd or 3rd but going to hold out until the 3rd if I can lisathegreek. But honestly this is the most tired I've ever been and I'm sleeping well at night. Debating with myself getting a taxi home from work as don't think I can face the wall to the station! The walk I do twice a day every single day!

LisaTheGreek · 28/01/2016 15:07

Feefs - when are you due to test?

ElleSarcasmo · 28/01/2016 14:55

Ctulhoo I hope that it does work out like that! If not we will keep your spirits up and keep you distracted. At the current rate that will be about 10 threads between now and then! They have certainly cheered me up when feeling gloomy, hope they can cheer you up too Flowers

Feefeefs · 28/01/2016 14:54

Hi harriet we're testing buddies I haven't forgot! I'm not holding out much hope either although I am exhausted like falling asleep at inappropriate times tired

ImpYCelyn · 28/01/2016 14:49

Miley, sorry, that's what he was like back then. This time last year my mum offered us the money to have him seen privately - what a fantastic thing that was! The paediatrician was like Hmm but it's obviously this which is doing it.... And he started treatment and we haven't looked back. He had some side issues as well, but since surgery in October he's basically unrecognisable Grin (not because he had plastic surgery you understand Wink) So really just treating his asthma now. Which is the other reason we felt able to decide to go. It was scary at the time though, and last winter was rough. My mum's a right pain sometimes, but I'm so so grateful for that. She did the same thing for my eldest a few weeks ago for a different condition, same paed, who said "fgs I wish the nhs would stop saying this doesn't need treating under 8" and now he's on the mend too. It does make me angry though that you have to pay for it. If I had my time again I'd have got private health for them the second they were born! (I love the nhs, but they've dropped the ball a few times with my two).

Mileymoocow · 28/01/2016 14:40

Um, confused, not to get your hopes up but I had the same. Also lots of af cramps.

impy sorry to hear about your ds. Hope he gets answers soon Flowers I definitely agree - life is too short for what ifs

ImpYCelyn · 28/01/2016 14:39

I'm going to speak to dh tonight. I think that while we probably won't go to France any sooner, neither one of us would want to tie us here longer. I don't like my current job, but I can suck it up knowing we're going to France.

Thanks for letting me sound off on that and giving me some ideas Smile I know it's OT. it's unfortunate timing for the job ad when I've just landed on cd1 and could call a halt. But I want dc3 more than I want a new job if in being honest. It's just annoying teaching jobs mean committing so far in advance!

Cthulhoo · 28/01/2016 14:37

Elle, I have to take the next test at Cd21, so assuming af turns up tomorrow, the next test would be in three weeks. When the doctor spoke with me she said 'Unless your period doesn't show up, then you'll come in for a pregnancy test.' Me: 'Yeah, unfortunately I found that life doesn't really have a sense of narrative.'

Because of course in a movie our heroine would be so distracted by the bad news that she'd fail to notice her period was late and voila! would get pregnant despite the odds . :-p

Confusedcat1 · 28/01/2016 14:32

impy, kathrino makes a good point, no harm going for the interview, keeps your options open and gives you more time to think!

Not sure it's a good sign impy I'm cramping on my right side.

IrregularCommentary · 28/01/2016 14:32

Confused - could be a good sign, I've had tons of the stuff the last few days before the BFP this morning (now confirmed by frer!)

Kathrino · 28/01/2016 14:30

That sounds like a really hard decision to make Impy, especially when there are so many unknowns (and coming in CD1 as well must make it even worse). I'm probably slightly biased because my parents have a family home in France and if I could think of any practical way that we could move there, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Could you apply for the job anyway and see what happens? Just going for an interview doesn't commit you to anything and you may decide that you hate it there anyway although that probably doesn't help with the whole wanting to go this summer thing.

harrietm87 · 28/01/2016 14:29

cthulhoo sorry to hear this. I know two people who have had beautiful babies having taken clomid - one has triplets! It's good that you're moving forward.

latinata I'm testing on 3rd feb too! With feefs? Though I am not holding out hope for this month! Don't think dtd enough!

ImpYCelyn · 28/01/2016 14:27

Ooh confused, that's a good sign!!

Confusedcat1 · 28/01/2016 14:18

If that's where your heart is impy... Go there. Life is too short!

Just ran to the loo convinced I'd come on and just LOADS of cm..whats that about!

ElleSarcasmo · 28/01/2016 14:16

Sorry Ctulhoo Sad do you have long to wait until the test?

Pugmummy that sounds like a PITA. Hope you can get it sorted soon.

ImpYCelyn · 28/01/2016 14:07

Sorry Miley you got an essay!!! It's just something I think a lot about.

ImpYCelyn · 28/01/2016 14:06

We were never going to go til the end of this academic year, as we only really decided for sure over the summer and moving two teachers plus two kids mid-year is a bit tough. We actually have a house in France. Before ds2 was born we'd decided to move, so we house hunted and found the perfect one. Again, bought in October but decided to wait til end of academic year. By the end of the academic year we had ds2 and he was horrendously ill - like we've phoned an ambulance 3 times this month and he's yet again in hospital on oxygen with everyone saying they haven't got a clue what's wrong, and moving was the last thing on our minds. We were so focused on him we just carried on.

Then we looked again and the French had changed their teaching requirement, and the easiest way for me to hit it was actually to train here, so did that and did nqt year so I could work here if we ever came back. And that took us to last summer when we had time to catch our breath and think about it. We've decided to go, but need this year to find positions and sort schools out there etc. And then we decided two years as there are a couple more jobs we want to finish on the house and we could have a baby and not worry about mat leave, and youngest would have done a year in reception, so learnt to read English. And once we decided two years dh changed schools. Now we kind of want to go this summer again, but dh feels he owes them at least one full year (he started there after Christmas). So.... that's August 2017. I need to just stick with the plan, but I think I'd rather sod off to France this summer and not worry about the mat leave.

In the meantime we're renting a flat I dont like living in (fortunately from my parents at family rates) and paying the mortgage on a house I love, but only get the holidays in!

If I apply for that job I'll feel like I owe them too and it'll just delay us going even more. And really, I want to raise the boys there. Not because I think France is necessarily better, but I want to be in our house. We chose it for our family.

Mileymoocow · 28/01/2016 13:39

impy I know I have like literally zero grasp on your situation really but my advice would be to move out there. You can always move back and at least then you'll know instead of thinking what could have been. What is stopping you going if you don't mind me asking?
