No that makes sense starky. Not being afraid of the things that are out of my control, and accepting that things can't always be as I want and choose them and that's OK, is a big part of overcoming anxiety and panic attacks for me. You're doing good! 😊

StarkyTheDirewolf · 21/01/2016 22:48

I just did cbt, I've been off meds for probably 3 years now, I needed a refresher course of cbt! My anxiety was getting silly and I developed ocd on the back of it! But it's all under control now, and honestly, I think ttc helped! Losing control of my body (if you know what I mean) and trying to not focus on the control loss or rather, seeing that nothing catastrophic happens other than af! when I don't have the control! I'm probably waffling and not making much sense but I'm all happy and calm today! Grin

Great news starky, and nice to hear about your recovery too evergreen. Anxiety is fucking awful!

Holly300 · 21/01/2016 22:34

That's great news starky. I did CBT a few years ago. I found a few of the techniques quite effective. How did you find it?

Evergreen15 · 21/01/2016 22:30

Indi I am about to jump mine GrinGrin
I am all preseeded up

Evergreen15 · 21/01/2016 22:29

Starky congrats! Were you doing CBT only or meds as well? I have been off my anxiety meds for a year now SmileSmileSmileSmile
Ladies I have an app called headspace. For meditation but easy meditation. You can try it for free. There is a pregnancy pack now Grin

IndiX · 21/01/2016 22:13

Soooo thought I was on first day of 2ww, just been to the toilet and quite a lot of EWCM was there! Wtf?! Looks like DH will be getting jumped on any minute..

StarkyTheDirewolf · 21/01/2016 22:03

Just had a look, honestly got no idea who that was or what they put! I've only reported two comments from our threads, one was the witch doctor and one was some random who posted on loads of threads offering prescription drugs from an Internet site. I think that was like waaaaay back on thread 1 or 2.I wonder what "chris" said!? Intrigued! Smile

Mt other good news from today, other than that I've got a double decker, is that I am officially signed off and discharged from my cbt! Woohoo!

It was on thread 6. The posters name is still there along with "message removed by mn hq for breaching community guidelines" or something. Their name was Chris something.

ImpYCelyn · 21/01/2016 21:56

Thanks Co5mo Smile yes, I had to take the anti-emetic at the same time as the codeine, but nothing else was touching it. Or at least, nothing else they could prescribe in pregnancy.
About 2 years ago I was getting loads of migraines again and realised one day I was taking a ton of codeine. So went cold turkey and spent two days in bed with the worst headache and nausea of my life. I've been a lot more careful ever since.

I was on hospital grade co-codamol last week (after the morphine floating), and when I saw the nurse on Friday I begged for something else. No pain, but I felt so sick, and I couldn't stay awake. So I'm on the over the counter stuff, alternated with paracetamol.

I swear the constipation was worse than childbirth

Kwick709 · 21/01/2016 20:53

miley iui is intrauterine insemination - loads less invasive than ivf but much less successful... Hence current plan of action.
Just spoke to lovely lady in us from sperm bank - may well use them, less chance of halfsibling issue perhaps? Have to decide this weekend.... Took me ages to find first donor...

StarkyTheDirewolf · 21/01/2016 20:44

I've got giant milky bar buttons and a double decker! I am happy! Grin

Miley I found loads of chocolate and Ben and jerrys in asda and bought it and now me and DH are ending our date night being fat bastards in bed tomorrow is a new day, I'll be healthy tomorrow Wink

Mileymoocow · 21/01/2016 19:59

kwick what's an iui? Hope you find the perfect potion soon.

I found the left over Christmas cake and I won't tell you how much I ate but I am almost in a sugar induced coma with painful bloating and a food baby. Shit, I have no self control and I'm not even due af.

Co5mo · 21/01/2016 19:59

Imp don't worry the codeine you've taken at this stage won't have grown you a mini addict. I don't think it would have an effect on implantation but I've never actually looked it up. Codeine in migraines is only recommended after everything else has been tried because it makes the nausea worse and can cause drug induced headache. (and the co-codamol you can buy does little more than paracetamol except make you constipated)

Kwick709 · 21/01/2016 19:33

Wow you guys have been busy! I made a couple of posts to old thread...

Anyway here are my stats:
Kwick
41
TTC #1
Five failed IUIs
Now started IVF process - stimulated
In search of new magic potion as need to change from previous donor

ImpYCelyn · 21/01/2016 19:19

I am actually slightly concerned that if I do get a bfp this cycle I've created an opiate addict - I was off my face for the first 5 days after I ovulated... I'm on a reduced dose and less often now, but I do worry about the effect that many painkillers might have

Snowdog37 · 21/01/2016 19:18

I do have some migralieve type drugs from the USA but I'll not bother with them just in case.

Snowdog37 · 21/01/2016 19:17

I use co codamol usually for bad af pains. I can't find any plain paracetamol in the house and bigger if I'm going out. So I'll just take one of them and head to bed... Thanks 💐

ImpYCelyn · 21/01/2016 19:16

Snow I suffer from epic migraines in pregnancy. I was mri-ed and everything last time. They prescribed me codeine and cyclizine, not even co-codamol. So think you're good for paracetamol and co-codamol. What do you normally take? I think ibuprofen is the one they prefer you to avoid.

Co5mo · 21/01/2016 19:15

Well that was an interesting conversation. I think he'll be less confused by the practical Imp.

I know about drugs noting that could be taken completely the wrong way. Start off with Paracetamol Snow. Migraines are horrible. Hope it gets better soon.

Holly300 · 21/01/2016 19:13

I know what you mean miley, but it seems you have more willpower than me!

Holly300 · 21/01/2016 19:12

Sorry jam! I needed to share ;) I have spent way too long on there already!

ImpYCelyn · 21/01/2016 19:12

Oh I didn't know that was a newbie, I read the blog. Seemed harmless enough. Maybe they spammed the boards though.

Evergreen no, I couldn't find a lid. That's probably where I went wrong!

Holly300 · 21/01/2016 19:09

Aww runner, morning all-day sickness is the worst!! Hopefully it will disappear as you approach the second trimester.
