Oh no impy I'm going to be one of those unlucky ones that suffers water infections and thrush aren't I! Gonna go stock up on floo tablets and I don't mean lemsip

LaraG13 · 22/01/2016 09:38

I meant 'hear' not 'here'. Annoying!

Mileymoocow · 22/01/2016 09:28

evergreen do you work in a lab? I remember someone saying they did

Ni4444 · 22/01/2016 09:26

Ladies! I have finally caught up!... There's been so much I don't know what to respond to!

Those who like mindfulness apps /want ways to relax, try the app Calm.

Probably entering FW in the next few days...I think we're both feeling a bit tired..dtd was put off Tues, Weds and last night by one or both of us each =guilt, frustrated, ambivalence Nonsense to be peeing on sticks and temping every blasted day if we don't do the actual deed! Hoping we can do some nice things as a couple this weekend and that might help us feel a bit more relaxed. Bloody house move in 2weeks doesn't help either!

Confusedcat1 · 22/01/2016 09:24

I'm glad I'm in this group.... I think it limits the amount of crazy we have to inflict on our dhs, I think although they are supportive, if my dh knew quite how much of a mindfuck Ttc is he might feel more pressured and we all know that's not good for them!

LaraG13 · 22/01/2016 09:19

It surprising how many others have suffered with anxiety! Great to here you're all coping well.

confused I know what you mean about worrying about fertility. It's just like Kathrino says, I understand how probability works and that it's just a case of trying again and again until you get lucky and yet I still have a niggling worry. But I'm withfeef and evergreen - people lie and exaggerate about it, particular in the workplace. I suppose no one likes to admit they lost their mind a bit for 8 months, took temps, and shagged with intent when their pissy stick told them to!

Kathrino · 22/01/2016 08:59

I know totally how you feel confused. Logically I know what all the stats are about how likely it is to happen in any given cycle but it doesn't stop me worrying even though I'm only half way through cycle 2. The fact that we didn't know how long it would take was one of my main arguments to convince my DH that we should start trying now rather than waiting but it's a bit different having that theoretical conversation before you start and then the crushing disappointment of AF turning up.

Evergreen15 · 22/01/2016 08:58

I am with imp on the work theory. Because of my rolling contract, I won't say anything too soon and then I will have to go. Oh! Wow! I didn't plan that
It is shite because it is again another way of oppressing females in the work place

Evergreen15 · 22/01/2016 08:55

Confused we were discussing this yesterday. A lot of people play it down. They might say it was unplanned or a surprise and blah blah blah but that is a minority. I am on cycle 3 and pretty much accepted it can be a long journey. This is why you need to get your info from here, a place where people are completely honest. As you can see (kat give is some stats) there is 20% chance each month if everything is timed perfectly. So we shall wave the grads as they go and support each other whilst on the bus
Imp it sounds like you have a very healthy diet with some treats occasionally. Well done. No guilt. Enjoy the burger, don't regret the burger. The burger is gone now Grin

ImpYCelyn · 22/01/2016 08:55

Most of them don't Confused.

I think especially at work people feel like they have to say it was unexpected, because a lot of people feel sort of guilty about mat leave, or that people will resent them for it I know our head in a whole staff meeting about the crap finances made a big point about how much mat leave costs the school. Dick so they pretend they weren't planning it.

With ds1 we tried for 6 or 7 months. Ds2 was a weird fluke. First af after ds1, still breastfeeding, dtd once as DH and I were both independently out of the country at different times and also jet lagged, and must have ovulated on cd26!!!!!! It was only the fact that it was a freaky, no-idea-what-my-body-is-doing non-cycle that made it possible. I never tell people we managed first try, because the likelihood of that happening to anyone else is pretty slim, and I don't think it's fair to a.give that kind of hope or b. give that kind of kick in the teeth. It was a fluke.

ImpYCelyn · 22/01/2016 08:49

I feel very guilty about my maccy dee's now Blush but I have brown rice and steamed veg and grilled chicken breast for lunch normally, and a light tea, so once in a while... I just had an apple for breakfast and now want to vom.

Miley I had thrush last week. I do hate an itchy foo! Get a tube of canestan and keep hold of it, there's a good chance you'll need it if upduffed!

Confusedcat1 · 22/01/2016 08:48

Not sure I could cope with Ttc without choccie!

I'm having one of those down days when I think 'what if there's something wrong with me, why do all my friends get pregnant on the first shot?'
Sad

Evergreen15 · 22/01/2016 08:33

Hi Feefs thanks for the tip Smile I should have said processed sugar. I am eating carbs and all, and a teaspoon of honey in my morning porridge Smile
It is just sugar from choc or cakes or drinks and that I am avoiding. Fruit is ok too

Feefeefs · 22/01/2016 08:15

Good luck evergreen! Just be careful when you do no sugar that you are getting some carbs in as they help to regulate hormone production. No evidence for low sugar helping to conceive. But low sugar is good as long as enough complex carbs there.

I have also done CBT! 3-4 years ago. I found it helpful but tiring. Most of my stress is work related now need to do more to manage it. Have headspace app but not using it enough!

Mileymoocow · 22/01/2016 08:12

I have a horrible itchy lulu slight thrush and a runny nose today so I'm in a really shitty fettle. Never had thrush before so I'm not thrilled at all blaming that new overly scented soap and glory bubble bath

I only get to go to mcdonalds when I have my little niece or am severely hungover otherwise I just feel so guilty

Evergreen15 · 22/01/2016 08:04

Starky I agree that this TTC business is helping out. It is giving me perspective on what is important and what I can try hard to ignore.

So I am 1dpo today with a couple of positive notes. I have to temp a couple more days but I am pretty sure I ovulated yesterday and I planned and executed my dtd perfectly.
I ovulated CD14, which in my book is bang on time. Grin

So small wins! At least I ovulated this cycle!!

This cycle I am off sugar and coffee completely, but have wine when if AF comes and I had 1 pint last weekend gimme a break and my temps have been a lot more constant.

I will temp and chart a couple more cycles and then I think maybe I will just do OPKs and sperm meets egg plan.

EXHAUSTED and so is DP

I have to call the GP on Monday for test results about my painful dtd so we shall see if everything is normal down there.

Kwick709 · 22/01/2016 07:49

imp i am envious of your maccy dee - sorry it did not go down well. The love of my life (my nephew) made me promise not to frequent the golden arches anymore as he hates them - i have not been for about a year...

ImpYCelyn · 22/01/2016 07:34

Well done Starky! That's great news!! I finished my cbt refresher in July - ocd and anxiety here too.

So feeling a bit nauseous this morning, but still bfn. Could be because I had McDonald's for dinner. (Which normally is a disgustingly unhealthy but sugary treat, and last night just tasted gross. Dh offered me Chinese instead, which I normally love, but I couldn't face it).

Mileymoocow · 22/01/2016 07:07

starky obviously not about your opks. Didn't you get 2 positives last month? Very weird! Hope it is right though, then you will have a chance of getting off at the Feb stop

Mileymoocow · 22/01/2016 06:32

starky that is excellent!

I didn't think anxiety was as common. I suffer, too. Have done since I was 7 when I was hospitalised with anorexia had a relapse about 4 years ago I was in therapy for a while and am now able to manage it on my own. I guess I'll have it for the rest of my life but as soon as I trigger I know how to control. OH came to some sessions to learn how he could cope I'll give you a clue, it wasn't by saying 'calm down"

StarkyTheDirewolf · 22/01/2016 02:59

I love the pregnancy test gallery! I seem to have developed a bit of a rota though with my pregnancy tweaks. So early my cycle I like watching pregnancy announcements on YouTube. Then as I profess it goes to the ttc videos where I quite like the live pregnancy testing of early dpo videos probably how I manage not to actually test myself as I'm doing g it vicariously through random Americans and then as I get closer to af day I enjoy the pregnancy test gallery more!

I did an opk yesterday and today and got two almost positives. Seems odd because im only cd9, will continue onwards and see what happens there but I really hope I haven't managed to get a faulty batch! I'm going to have to buy another set of a different brand and do two each time! I'm a pg test refuser but an opk addict!

KatOnATinRo0f · 21/01/2016 23:42

Am supposed to dtd but got home from work and DH is in a pissy mood. Also just informed me he's away for work sun morn-mon night.... When I guess I will be ovulating. ... CD10 and negative OPK so far (really faint line tonight at 9.30pm) it's seeming a bit later than last month. I'm sure I got a positive at day 8-10...

KatOnATinRo0f · 21/01/2016 23:40

I missed the witch doctor !!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 21/01/2016 23:23

It's been a journey for sure! I was a psychotic nightmare! Poor Dh, now I'm past it, I really feel for him! It was bloody awful though! I'm usually such a positive person and my anxiety literally took over my entire life!
