miggy I use ovia for when I fancy a hollow laugh! "Ooh, you're hormonal, that could be a tiny human!" It could also be my uterus having a hissy fit you know it all sanctimonious computer app! I'm considering changing it's name to Whybird! I tap some shit in and it spews out a load of old bollocks meant to be helpful! Grin

An currently on TWW do you think am OK to drink tonight just going out for FIL birthday and usually would have a larger. Am I ok to have a wee drink?

Hello all, can I join the fab bus? :)

I've been a lurker for a bit while I got my head around all the acronyms. I thought dh meant domestic husband for a while and felt annoyed that so many of you have these whilst mine is definitely not domesticated! Haha. Now finally got round to joining mn and can stop being a lurker! This thread is absolutely hilarious so hoping you'll be kind enough to let me hop on and get some laughs in amongst the headfuck that is ttc!

My stats:

Age: 29, big 30 this spring
Ttc: #1
Cycle: 2, came off combined pill beg of Dec
CD: 22 according to ovia, testing 4 Feb

I only downloaded ovia app this last month so I would know when my fw is (not tempting) but I think I might delete it next month. Felt the pressure bigtime to dtd on what ovia said was ov day, had mini meltdown when dh also got stressed and wasn't able to 'produce the goods', think next month we just need to chill out and get into dtd EOD.

I have no idea... I didn't find it interesting though. We are both 27 so I'm guessing medical progression means blood tests are better now? No idea but she said she had a positive at the beginning, 2 weeks later Dr's urine and bloods said no, she had a scan anyway 4 weeks later and there was OH bobbing along at 10 weeks

I've honestly got no idea kat he's always done it with af, apparently I smell sweeter, I was like "what!? My minge?!" And he said not specifically, I just generally smell sweeter. He's said it before "you smell different today" in the past when, I assume I've been ovulating, and then last month he told me I smelled different than usual and I got a positive opk. I don't tell him if I get a positive so he'd have no idea. Quite interesting to see if he gets it this cycle!

I had a quick flick through- stark your DH sounds a bit odd that he can smell you ovulating... did he learn this technique from his google-degree in women's fertility he got a month ago?

re baby names - Lisa you're not Greek?!?! My DH is, so we shall be having Greek names. but not the ones i want. boo :( Unless i have two of the same sex... then they are getting a greek god/goddess name and i dont care if anyone thinks its ridiculous. !!

Had a bit of a wobble last night with DH telling me he didnt think we were ready for a baby financially. i went to sleep in a sulk. but managed to convince him to dtd this morning so all may not be lost.

i can't post list as its on my phone and can't seem to load the app. will do later when have proper 3G

Hmm kat... What happened.. Lauren got a bfp, runner sent her off to grads, Laurenowls has weird spotting and we discussed how to tell dh when we are pregnant!

summary for kat we are all still insane, we have one confirmed bfp lauren and the tww is dragging for those in it. jam has sensibly decided to wait till af doesn't show to test and we are discussing how we'd tell our dps that were pregnant!

Thinking on though, Dh will probably know before me, he is really weird and can "smell" When I'm ovulating and when I'm due on. It's so odd, coup, e of days before af he'll tell me "you're coming on " and sure enough. ..and last month he was insisting I smelled different, I did an opk and got a positive!

So we told MIL what may or may not be going on last night (she's come to stay for a while as thinking of moving abroad) she is delighted... and also said she had negative blood and urine tests when she was pregnant with OH! Crazy!

Ive no idea yet how I'd tell Dh, ill probably just hand him a test and be like "oh, Bro, you're balls work!" I'm going to secretly attempt to video the reaction though. Opk from today looks slightly less positive than the last three, none of them have been actually positive, so very odd!

I just asked DH how he'd like to be told and he said I should tell him I'm taking a test and we should watch the line appear together. He asked me not to try to think of a cute way to tell him as he wants to be involved in the whole thing instead of me having the fun.

Cute, but does rely on me having to tell him each time I test! So my new goal (and I need you guys to be firm for me here please!) is to just take a test on the day AF is due next month. Literally going to be the hardest thing ever but that's my resolution. Hmm

My problem is that once I know I will be such an emotional wreck that I won't be able to hide it, he will know instantly that something is up! So whatever I do it'll have to happen quickly!
