Irregular - the problem is they could be symptoms and they could be normal things which creates such a mind- fuck.

Fingers crossed it means you're cooking!

LisaTheGreek · 25/01/2016 19:44

Ever - must be so stressful, but I have to say it sounds so unlikely you would have it. Even if they didn't test for it the time before, you took antibiotics, and that's what they'd give you to treat it anyway. So you've had the treatment and it would have sorted itself by now.

Loving the distraction ideas as well! And welcome to the newbies!

iPatches · 25/01/2016 19:43

Oops. Haven't got home of this bold/strikethrough thing yet....

iPatches · 25/01/2016 19:42

First time TTC. We tried last month but had no idea when my FW was and so just made a bit of a pathetic job of it Sad
This month I'm all sorted! 9dpo I reckon at the moment.
Symptoms are an issue. I've been on various hormonal contraceptives for over a decade, started due to period pain and continued for the convenience Now I have no idea of anything. Pretty sure that my cycle used to be 31 days but since TTC they have been 27 days so not sure what's up there. Also whilst not TTC my PMS symptoms raged from rock hard boobs and complete irrationality to absolutely nothing at all. So I have no idea whether AF is on her way or not. All I know is that my nipples hurt. This is new, but so is life without contraception so not sure it's a symptom of anything at all actually. Confused

ImpYCelyn · 25/01/2016 19:41

Oh ever, how stressful! But I agree with the others, they have a checklist and work through and get rid of the easy to assess stuff first. It may very well not be that at all. It's Rosetta unlikely no one would have noticed for 8 years. Fx for you though Thanks

Starky thanks for that thread, it's glorious! I wish I had a garden so that one day I could aspire to having a little Korean lady in it Grin

I am an emotional wreck, I'm still crying at everything! Ridiculous. I need to seriously toughen up for cycle 2.

Hi iPatches - welcome aboard!

stardusty5 · 25/01/2016 19:37

Haha starky, he sounds a charmer. Hope he had a rose betwixt his teeth!

SuchaJem · 25/01/2016 19:37

And I hope everything is okay on weds ever - like the others, I'm sure it will be xx

firstgo1984 · 25/01/2016 19:36

stardusty I shall see what the opks do over next few days and ramp up how often I test just incase

Confusedcat1 · 25/01/2016 19:35

evergreen there's a lot of ifs in that scenario, don't panic. Everything is going to be OK!!!!!!! Hugs!! Flowers

StarkyTheDirewolf · 25/01/2016 19:35

There you go see ever it's the initial blind panic that's the worst, but like you say if you've had you fanjo looked into before don't pardon the pun, it was intentional then you definetly would have known about it then.

Wel one ipatches and stardusty

Dh just sidled up to me in a romantic sweet manner and gently whispered I to my ear "to the window, to the walls, till the sweat drops down my ballsm and all you bitches crawl" ...and they say romance us dead?!

Hello ipatches welcome on board. Is this your first time?

I'm quite new to it all - we tried this month for the first time.

IrregularCommentary · 25/01/2016 19:35

I think they would have Ever, they went really hot on testing it a few years ago as rates of it were on the rise. If you've had any tests sent off, I'd be astounded if it didn't include that. Try not to stress (easier said than done I know), it's really so unlikely it's anything like that.

Hi Patches and Star - welcome to the group Smile

Right. Symptom spotting. I got in from work about 6pm tonight, I've not had a particularly bad day, I slept fine last night, but christ I am fighting to stay awake right now. This is not usual for me. Bit of a sensitive left nipple (been like that about a week), right one normal. Oh, and I'm really thirsty and a bit headachey. Are they all symptoms or just signs of an overthinking little brain?!

stardusty5 · 25/01/2016 19:34

I've never had a positive opk yet. Got a digital one to start next month. How flipping expensive are the sticks tho?!

LaraG13 · 25/01/2016 19:33

ever, although it can be symptomless for months or years, my understanding is that it's rare to have it that many years without you or any partners showing symptoms. It's unlikely you have it - they're ruling it out. But on top of that, only about 15% of women with untreated chylamidia go on to get pelvic inflammatory disease. And of those with PID only 10% go on to have fertility issues. So we are talking a very very small chance of the worse case scenario that you're imagining being true. I totally understand your worry but I think it's highly unlikely so try to reassure yourself if you can 💐

iPatches · 25/01/2016 19:31

Thanks Holly
Just realised my first post makes me sound daft. Clearly I realised that I do ovulate, just never thought about how I would know that I did. But now I know the science joy of OPKs and EWCM so I'm pretty sure I did O this month!

stardusty5 · 25/01/2016 19:30

Firstgo, i found that difficult too. I waited at least a day to trust what was what again!

Holly300 · 25/01/2016 19:28

Welcome ipatch and stardust Thanks

Evergreen15 · 25/01/2016 19:25

Thanks irregular Sad and planeter starky holly kathrino and the rest.
And now that I think about it they did test me a couple of years ago when I had vaginitis some bacteria in foo and gave me antibiotics. Surely they would have tested for Chlamydia back then as I went to sex clinic and I said my foo was hurting/ itchy and they said the vaginitis thing Blush
I hope so Sad
I will watch the Tudors and drink my non alcoholic wheat beer Thanks

stardusty5 · 25/01/2016 19:24

Hello all

I'm TTC 1, cycle 2

Not sure exactly when ov was but my best guess is that i'm 9dpo.

Had spotting last week which i thoughy t was early AF but nothing since Friday. Also getting ewcm today.

iPatches · 25/01/2016 19:21

May I join?

Been reading this for a while.
Cycle #2 TTC although the first cycle was a rather naive effort with no idea about the whole ovulation whatsitsface.

So it's Cycle #2. AF isn't due for another 6 days. Not sure whether I love or hate Ovia yet.

Anyway, hello :)

IrregularCommentary · 25/01/2016 19:20

Oh, Ever, that must be so stressful Flowers

I echo what Starky said though. They will have a list of stuff they have to do and test for (stuff with very quick and easy tests generally) first just to eliminate. It doesn't mean that they think you have Chlamydia or that you're likely to have it, it's just an easy test.

Don't forget as well, it may be symptomless for women, but if you had it you'd almost certainly have passed it onto another partner and men get pretty obvious symptoms so you'd have found out by now xx

firstgo1984 · 25/01/2016 19:18

Random question. How long after dtd do you all think you can assess CM again. how quickly does it all come out? I dtd last night and I think I might have the start of ewcm tonight. Negative opk though. Cd32. Bored of this cycle!

Holly300 · 25/01/2016 19:07

Totally laughing out loud reading the fatball thread! Hilarious!

Evergreen15 · 25/01/2016 18:49

Thank you ladies Sad
What would I do without your support? Thanks

KatOnATinRo0f · 25/01/2016 18:49
