Thanks giraffes will hold out till a bit later today then Smile

I use the Internet cheapie opk's - the acupuncturist told me it might be an idea to get a digital ovulation kit (she did warn results may be unclear if I have PCOS but I'm pretty sure I just have PCO)

Just checked online and can see the clear blue one but can't see any way of buying more sticks....am I confused? Does anyone know how I can buy new sticks for it?

GiraffesCantDoMentalArithmetic · 22/01/2016 07:18

Fingers crossed snowy

lucinda I think the reason for not using FMU is it contains "yesterday's" hormones, if that makes sense, and you might miss the LH surge that's happening today?

Lucinda15 · 22/01/2016 07:09

Sorry AF arrived house fx next month is your month.

i thought it was a fart yep, I tend to get ewcm 48 hrs before ovulation so u you could still be good for Saturday.

I am on 11dpo and which has sort of crept up on me - kinda nice! Going to start doing my opk's today. I've always had better results doing these with 1st wee of the day but read late morning/arvo is better?? Is that right??

Had acupuncture yesterday - very weird not sure I liked it, but she was very interesting and a lot of what she said made sense. Going to have weekly sessions for a month and see what happens.

snowy1982 · 22/01/2016 06:21

Well my crazy legit signs and symptoms have disappeared so it's back to the normal 2WW. Will know all next Tuesday, but not feeling confident

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 21/01/2016 22:48

I hate poas and would rather wait it out. Seems silly but the only pg tests I've ever taken were 25 dpo when I was pretty sure I was upduffed! So I've never had a bfn even though it took 7 months to conceive dd. But I've bought a big box of ics this time so things may be different!!

GiraffesCantDoMentalArithmetic · 21/01/2016 22:07

IthoughtitWasafart great nname! I can get EWCM for several days before I ov, so you may well be OK. Do you use OPKs or anything else?

Well done ladies in the 2WW with the crazy totally legit signs and symptoms. Keep 'em coming so I can feel normal in a weeks time!!!

Getting plenty of EWCM here (not sure if I've disrupted things with the evening primrose capsules) but no signs of life on the OPKs. So it looks like we'd better keep dtd until something more definite happens. Then we can heave a sigh of relief and get some bloody sleep.

EnglishExpatUSA · 21/01/2016 19:32

Sorry af got you house. But yes, great attitude - on to the next one!

CD14 here and still getting negative opks and flat temps. I've never ovulated later than day 14 before... sods law it would happen the month we started DTD everyday from cd9 and now we are seriously running out of steam... Hope DH can find it in him for another few days as have just noticed lots of EWCM. Come on eggs!

IThoughtItWasAFart · 21/01/2016 13:31

I have a question if that's ok?

I've got slight EWCM today, DP isn't back from working away until Saturday. And presumably we won't be able to have sex until Saturday night as I'm sure the kids wouldn't witness that ConfusedShock

Will I still be fertile when he comes back?

snowy1982 · 21/01/2016 13:24

Oh arse indeed house but good positive attitude there Smile

houseHuntinginmanchester · 21/01/2016 13:08

Oh arse, just got my period.

No roulette today!

Onwards to a BFP in February for us all BrewThanks

Celen · 21/01/2016 11:08

Grin househunting at POAS roulette Grin

snowy1982 · 21/01/2016 10:43

Also, the longer you go without doing one, the longer you can live in the fantasy land that you are going to get a BFP - sometimes I am quite happy in the land called denial

houseHuntinginmanchester · 21/01/2016 10:35

snowy GrinGrinGrin I know, but it just feels totally normal to say and do right now doesn't it?!

wouldn't normally be caught dead saying this shit Grin

And I don't keep tests in the house after literally pissing away the last £20 worth I had Blush and obviously didn't even get a BFP!
Kind of like gambling. Poas roulette Grin

snowy1982 · 21/01/2016 10:22

houseHunting our lives just aren't like other peoples, i don't think non TTC people ever discuss saving their morning wee Grin

It is a problem I get though, I refuse to keep them in the house or I would be constantly POAS - so whenever I feel I may need one I always have to wait until the following morning to do it

Yes fingers and toes very tightly crossed, but in a very calm not getting ahead of myself way of course!!

houseHuntinginmanchester · 21/01/2016 10:11

snowy ooooh... Fingers crossed for you!!

houseHuntinginmanchester · 21/01/2016 10:10

Morning all ! Af due today, and I went abit mad yesterd and almost sent dh out to get some pregnancy tests haven't had any cramps as usual so I'm feeling very quietly hopeful but don't want to get my hopes up too high Shock it's probably a rare period without any pains though, I have had a couple of them before in the past!

But just to be sure, shall I piss in a ramekin and save my morning wee before I go out and buy some tests ?! Grin

snowy1982 · 21/01/2016 08:04

One way or another I will know next week (get me trying to seem all relaxed and calm about it Wink )

snowy1982 · 21/01/2016 08:02

Exactly havetobecrazy, it could be a sign of either or of nothing at all. Trying not to read too much into it, but it's hard not too since I don't normally feel this way before AF comes so it is unusual. Either way, whatever if was or wasn't a sign of, it is gone this morning, so let the normal TWW resume

Havetobecrazytolivehere · 21/01/2016 07:41

Well Giraffes so far I've had tingling nipples on Tuesday which is when I think I ov and yesterday all my ov pain had gone ( I had felt tender and a bit bloated for a few days ) but did feel a bit weird and twingy down there also noticed slightly warm thighs - how ridiculous do I sound? I am pretty desperate to fall pg now but not wanting to test to early as my mc in Nov was quite early on, so want to get past those weeks as quickly as possible.
snowy annoyingly cramping can be a sign of both but had been my earliest sign in my last two pgs before I tested. Good luck!

Havetobecrazytolivehere · 21/01/2016 07:16

Lucinda one of my friends had PCOS after her first child and managed to conceive her second after being on clomid. I don't know much about it but she does now have 3 children! Number 3 being a whoops moment after ds2 was born! I think her biggest problem was getting treatment as she was very young and had to be trying for a long time before they would investigate.

snowy1982 · 21/01/2016 06:55

FX Lucinda although trying to read too much into it, it might only lead to disappointment. Hope acupuncture goes well

Lucinda15 · 21/01/2016 06:40

Good news snowy fx it's a good sign!!

Thanks tiny I may take u up on that Wink at the moment I'm feeling ok about it all - I gather there is a difference between PCO and PCOS? But suppose both wld involve problems with ovulation. I read about clomid/metformin - bit worried as I'm a bit overweight Confused size 16/BMI 29. On slimming world and losing well so should get a stone off within a month or so tho (and now I'm even more determined!) just hoping the high BMI won't stop them giving me any medication if it should go that way. We will see, early days.

For now I am doing everything I can!! SMEPing, eating healthy, epo, and my acupuncture starts this afternoon so fingers crossed that will work some magic!!

snowy1982 · 21/01/2016 06:27

Google it obsessively... I don't even know what that means Wink

TinyPawz · 21/01/2016 00:55

Lucinda I have pcos and conceived my daughter and the two I mc on Clomid. Hopefully your doc will mention metformin, it's a diabetic medicine but also prescribed to deal with the insulin resistance associated with pcos. If you have any questions or just want to vent, pm me.

snowy I would suggest it was "a sign". I certainly wouldn't google it obsessively Blush
