Relaxed TTC Feb/March/April 2016

Hi,

We've just agreed to start TTC #1 in March so just starting to look at preparing for that - prenatal vitamins, losing some weight, etc.

I'm 33 and have only been with my OH for just over a year but we're both sure this is the relationship for us...we'll be getting married but want TTC as a priority and fit any wedding around Mother Nature.

Not planning any temp checking or charting or such like....maybe I'll change my mind if I'm not preggers after six months or so!

Anyone planning TTC about the same time and want to keep in touch on this thread for relaxed catch ups about preparing and then TTC?

Those of you already ttc but taking a break, I take my hat off to you! I'd not be able to help myself lol. I'm counting down the weeks now until I'm ttc. Got quite a bit going on the months following me coming off the pill so hopefully I'll not be thinking about it to much x

Pointlessfan · 07/03/2016 19:46

DH has def vetoed a Christmas baby so we're taking a break in March. I'm going to compensate a bit by having lots of nice cheeses and beer while I can!

HighHopes16 · 07/03/2016 13:31

Well I'm two weeks late now! (second cycle after coming off the pill)

I took a pregnancy test yesterday because I thought it would be SO nice if I found out I was pregnant on Mothers day but instead I got a BFN! Sad

We discussed stopping ttc for the next month or so to give my cycles a chance to get back to normal and we don't fancy a Christmas baby either! hmm!

AliceScarlett · 06/03/2016 22:29

FW coming up, as is a big promotion at work. If I don't get it I'll hand my notice in...so everything is up in the air. Need to take a month off ttc to see if I get this more senior role. Argh.

raddersmrs · 06/03/2016 19:36

Hope you enjoyed your glass of wine pointless

I'm coming up to my fertile window this week which I'm excited about. Trying to tell myself it might not happen though rather than getting my hopes up. But it's difficult.

I'm starting to realise how hard it is if it takes a long time because the month cycle seems to pass so slowly! I'm wishing my life away this month which is awful really

Pointlessfan · 06/03/2016 08:26

Not pregnant.
Nevermind,at least I can have a glass of wine with lunch! Might have a break over March because we're going on holiday and also I'd prefer not to have a Christmas baby. I'll probably change my mind though tbh as I'm getting more and more broody.

Pointlessfan · 05/03/2016 16:18

I'm trying so hard not to do a pregnancy test yet! Period due tomorrow but if it doesn't appear I'm going to try to wait until Tuesday so I can pick up a test when I go to the supermarket.

TheresaMarie55 · 05/03/2016 08:29

Just popping in to say I'm still lurking lol. Not to long now until I'm off the pill and can join the ttc talk. Sending good vibes to those already trying x

dynia · 04/03/2016 08:59

wispaxmas Yes, it's crosshairs. And I got a message saying my temps were too inconsistent for a pattern. Guess I need to use the OPKs. It now has two predicted period start dates.

A bit up in the air at the moment, we didn't hit the fertility window at all and I got a bit blue about it and frustrated which isn't super conducive to babymaking. My DH has some sensory issues and if everything isn't exactly right, it's a non-starter. It's not normally a bit deal (we'll try again later!) but I guess the limited fertility window makes it a bit more stressful. If FF is to be believed, I'll be out of town for the next one :(

Wheresmybippers · 03/03/2016 21:45

I'm always like "um...can I go now?" Grin

wispaxmas · 03/03/2016 21:14

Pointless, eek, FX you get a BFP!!

wispaxmas · 03/03/2016 21:13

LOL, it's totally not beneficial, apparently everything gets to where it needs to go within seconds and lying still or propping your self up has no effect.

Wheresmybippers · 03/03/2016 20:00

My DH refuses to um...get out...afterwards. For a good few minutes! Which is awkward...and totally not beneficial I don't think!!

Pointlessfan · 03/03/2016 17:42

Highhopes I have actually been lying still afterwards! Still waiting to see if period arrives on Sunday.
3 different friends have announced pregnancies in the last week, I'm itching to join them!

raddersmrs · 03/03/2016 07:21

AF has now gone for me and so it's on to the first month of ttc. Feeling a little apprehensive and wondering if I'm mad, the usual stuff, but the thought of not trying makes me feel worse.

Wishing the month away to see if I will have a 2016 baby!

wispaxmas · 02/03/2016 21:13

Well, expecting AF tomorrow, we didn't DTD at all during the fertile window thanks to illness, but that's fine, I think I'd rather leave off until May for real, and not even 'see what happens.' I'm really starting to focus on fitness at the minute and I'd like to actually make progress before falling.

wispaxmas · 02/03/2016 21:03

Dynia, did FF put the cross hairs as dotted lines? If so it's just a guess and you're right in that the app could be confused because temps are up and down..

Wheresmybippers · 02/03/2016 19:27

jenny sorry I hadn't read back the thread!! Blush
I came off that in Sept and think I had a small withdrawl bleed but nothing again till December!

jennymac31 · 02/03/2016 16:34

Where'smybippers - we haven't actually done the deed, well apart from one time when hubby remembered I had come off the pill and pulled out accordingly - apologies for tmi!

Ttc's been put on hold until end of April when I should find out if I'm gonna be made redundant.

Think it's highly unlikely that I'm pregnant and am anticipating my period to come tonight/tomorrow. It's been 6 weeks since I came off the pill so I'm guessing i'm just going through side effects & just generally period pain crapness!

Anyone else suffered such symptoms after coming off cerazette?

Wheresmybippers · 02/03/2016 15:55

jenny you never know, fingers crossed AF doesn't appear!

jennymac31 · 02/03/2016 14:40

Feel absolutely rubbish today. Tense period cramps & feeling incredibly faint/nauseous. Haven't felt like this for quite some time (since ttc with dd in 2012). AF hasn't shown her face yet but am expecting to see her later on tonight or tomorrow.

HighHopes16 · 01/03/2016 09:09

I get a daily email from my Ovia app that normally asks if I'm on my period today? and gives me conception tips.
Today it said-
'Quick Question- Do you lay horizontally for 15 minutes after sex?' Grin

dynia · 01/03/2016 09:06

Fertility friend has me so confused. Entered my temp this morning into the app (which showed a predicted ovulation of tomorrow) and it says I likely ovulated on Saturday. My temps are absolutely all over the place though so maybe it is equally confused.

Pointlessfan · 01/03/2016 07:32

I have a horrible cough. All the cough medicines have warnings for pregnant women so I don't want to take any just incase I am pregnant. If my period arrives at the weekend at least I can console myself with Corvonia!

Sausagema · 29/02/2016 20:41

Today has been weird. I have been very crampy and had ++d/c but not ewcm more sticky.

I am reading too much into this shizz, I probably wouldn't even notice this normally. I just want next week to be here and AF to show her face and calm the fuck down for a while!
